MetLife Foundation Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY: Pursuing a four-year degree in select areas of agriculture, agribusiness management, communications, education, journalism, extension, public relations, finance, economics, sales, marketing, engineering, mechanization, technology, plant pathology, plant/animal breeding and genetics, range/soil science or public service and administration in agriculture. Resident of Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin or Wyoming required. No more than one scholarship per state.AWARD: 10 scholarships at $2,000 each, non-renewable.

Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. Inc. Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY: Pursuing a four-year degree in agricultural engineering or agricultural science/technology. Resident of Alabama, California, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Texas or West Virginia required. Must have been active in extracurricular activities. Completion of the financial analysis section is required. If these major criteria are equal between potential applicants, those with the greatest financial need will be selected. Recipients shall allow Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. Inc. to publicize or advertise scholarship recipients’ names or likenesses and those of their families.AWARD: 10 scholarships at $2,500 each, non-renewable.

Clubs of America

Eligible students will: Write an essay of no fewer than 600 words about their career aspirations and how their current course load will help them achieve success in their careers. Where do you see yourself 10 years from now? Thinking outside the box is encouraged! Email their essay as a .doc or .pdf attachment to: scholarship@greatclubs.com YouTube submissions are optional, although not required. Video should be no longer than 5 minutes. (Essays submitted via YouTube must also be submitted in writing.)

HSF/Hormel Scholarship

Program Description:The HSF/Hormel Scholarship Program is a scholarship of $2,500 awarded for applicants interested in a career in the food industry.In addition, interested students can apply to be considered for a paid internship. Eligibility Requirements: * Be of Hispanic heritage * Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States with a valid Social Security Number at the time of application. All legal permanent residents must submit a copy of their valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired) * Have a permanent address in one of the following Midwest states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin * Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale * Be a Junior with an intended graduation date between December and August * Be majoring in Accounting, Mechanical Engineering (includes Mechanical Technology), Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering/Technology (includes Industrial Management) Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration (includes Operations), Management, Agriculture Science/Agronomy (includes Agriculture Engineering, Agribusiness, Ag Economics, Food Service), Computer Science, Information Technology (IT/MIS) (includes Computer Information Systems), Zoology (includes Animal Science), Marketing (includes Professional Selling), Hospitality Administration (includes Hotel/Restaurant Management) or related majors * Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Tony DiPardo Instrumental Music Foundation and Scholarship Fund

The Tony DiPardo Instrumental Music Foundation and Scholarship Fund was established in honor and memory of instrumental music leader Tony DiPardo to support students pursuing instrumental music education at the college or university level and also programs that enhance and encourage students’ appreciation for instrumental music. Eligibility: In order to be eligible for the Tony DiPardo Instrumental Music Scholarship the student must meet the following criteria: Be graduating from a Greater Kansas City area high school and accepted to an accredited two or four-year college or university. Currently play a musical instrument and have an express interest in continuing instrumental music study at the college or university level. Have/maintain an academic GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Applications are accepted year round. Students who believe they meet the above stated criteria and wish to be considered for a scholarship may submit a scholarship application online.

Gumdrop Books Librarian Scholarship Fund

The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships to those qualified individuals who are pursuing a masters of science degree that is related to library science. Eligibility: In order to be eligible for the scholarship, you must meet the following: Be a U.S. Citizen; Have been accepted into an accredited graduate studies program to pursue a masters degree in library science; and Have maintained a 2.5 GPA or above during undergraduate degree work. Scholarships will be awarded on an annual basis and disbursed in August. The scholarship award will be co-payable to the academic institution attended and the student and must be used to pay for tuition and/or room and board associated with pursuit of a masters degree in library science. This scholarship is not renewable. Amount: $5,000 (U.S. dollars; dispersed in August; nonrenewable)

AgriLabs/Dennis Feary Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established to provide scholarships to students enrolled or entering college in pursuit of a two or four-year college degree in any field of study.Eligibility:Scholarships are available to employees and immediate family members of Agri Labs and its member/distributor network. A GPA of 2.5 and above must be maintained with a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester. This is an annual/non-renewable scholarship.

AgriLabs/Herman Haenert Scholarship Fund

Established to provide scholarships to students enrolled or entering college in pursuit of a two or four-year college degree in any field of study.Eligibility:Scholarships are available to employees and immediate family members of Agri Labs and its member/distributor network. A GPA of 2.5 and above must be maintained with a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester. This is an annual/non-renewable scholarship.

Betty Charlton Scholarship Fund

This fund was established in memory of Betty Charlton by the Shawnee Area Chamber of Commerce to provide scholarships for education to area students who have demonstrated involvement in community leadership and who have received special honors.Eligibility:In order to be eligible for the scholarship, you must meet the following: · The eligible students for assistance shall be graduating seniors intending to continue their education through a two or four year college and/or technical school. Consideration will be given to the student's work, school activity and community service records. · Student must continue to attend classes and keep a 3.0 grade point average (or equivalent).· Submit a scholarship application on a form provided by the Foundation.

Dennis Feary Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established to provide scholarships to students enrolled in or entering college. Scholarships are awarded exclusively to students in pursuit of a two or four year college degree in agriculture studies.Eligibility:Scholarships are available to employees and immediate family members of Agri Labs and its member/distributor network. A GPA of 2.5 and above must be maintained with a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester. This is an annual/non-renewable scholarship.Amount:$2,000 - Disbursed in the amount of $1,000 each semester.

Electric League Scholarship Fund

Established to provide scholarships to employees of the Electric League of Missouri and Kansas member firms, their children and grandchildren. Preference will be given to those entering industry related courses of study.Eligibility:Employees, children or grandchildren of member firms of the Electric League of Missouri and Kansas.

Elizabeth Miller Watkins Memorial Scholarship Fund

To assist women students of outstanding scholastic achievement and demonstrated financial need in completing their college education at the University of Kansas.Eligibility:All women enrolled as full-time undergraduate students at the University of Kansas. -Current residents of Watkins and Miller scholarship halls are encouraged to apply. -3.0 GPA or higher on 4.0 scale -Demonstrated financial need; -Special consideration given to first time college women in family;-Recipients may reapply annually to receive the scholarship for a total of 8 undergraduate semesters;-Serve one year on the EMWMS Advisory Committee after graduation.
