Kansas Scholarships

"Here are the first 20 scholarships where one of the requirements is based on where you live."

Some states or counties have hundreds of scholarships for which you may qualify.

David M. Shumaker Geology Scholarship

Recipient will be a student majoring in Geology who plans to pursue a career in the gas and oil industry. Preference given to students who show initiative and leadership and work to their potential in the classroom, and students who show financial need.

David Miller History Scholarship

Preference for students majoring in History with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Deana G. Elston-Rupp Scholarship

Eligibility: 1. Recipient must be a junior, senior or graduate student in the fall. 2. Declared Management or Marketing major. 3. Cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above.

Department of Agriculture Endowed Scholarship

Recipients of the scholarship must be majors in the Department of Agriculture. Recommendation and selection for the scholarship will be made by the Department of Agriculture Scholarship Committee.

Department of Art & Design Scholarship

Scholarships are available for upper division Art & Design majors but are limited in number depending upon funds available. Students applying for scholarships must: 1. Be Art & Design majors and have at least sophomore rank. 2. Have work selected for Annual Student Honors Exhibition held each spring. Scholarships are awarded by the juror of the exhibition.

Department of Management and Marketing Scholarship

Eligibility: 1. Management, Marketing, or Tourism and Hospitality Management major with junior standing. 2. Cumulative GPA of 3.0. 3. Awarded on basis of need, when possible.

Developmental Services of Northwest Kansas Scholarship

Preference given to students majoring in a field related to working with people with disabilities who are enrolled in at least six hours and are currently employed by DSNWK. Contact the Developmental Services of Northwest Kansas office for application.

District 5670-Rotary International Graduate Study Abroad Scholarship

This scholarship is available for those students in the North Central and Northwest Kansas Area which comprises District 5670. This is a graduate scholarship for a student who has completed their undergraduate or will complete the undergraduate degree to study for one school term abroad. Applications can be obtained in Scholarship Services or by contacting Carol Solko-Olliff at (785) 628-4276.

Donald E. & Marguerite C. Stout Vocal Music Scholarship

Preference to Music majors with an emphasis in voice. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required with preference given to students majoring in music or music education with an emphasis in voice or choral music and students that display financial need.

Dorothy L. Bischof Scholarship Fund

The recipient of the scholarship shall be a student majoring in Business with an interest in investments.

Downing-Nelson Geology Scholarship

Recipients will be full-time students with at least a 2.5 GPA properly enrolled in Geology with an emphasis in Petroleum Exploration or Petroleum Operations.

Dr. and Mrs. M. J. Little Accounting Scholarship

Eligibility: 1. Completion of at least 12 credit hours in accounting with"A" and "B" grades. 2. Overall GPA of 3.5 or better. 3. Declared Accounting major preparing for career as a CPA. 4. Awarded on basis of need, if possible.
