J.L. Weigand, Jr. Notre Dame Legal Education Trust - Private Scholarships for Kansas Residents
Application Requirements/Description:The J.L. Weigand, Jr. Notre Dame Legal Education Trust has been established to provide assistance to students from the state of Kansas. The scholarships provide for tuition, room and board for selected students who have been legal residents of Kansas for ten (10) years prior to their admission.The scholarships will be awarded without regard to means, race, rel... igion, or gender to selected full-time students attending the University of Notre Dame Law School. Eligibilty:

Future Mechanic Grant
Trade School Future is an organization dedicated to helping future mechanics reach their full potential. Our country needs skilled automotive workers and we want to help. Each semester, we’ll be awarding grants of various amounts to students who plan on attending a trade or vocational school with the aim of becoming a mechanic.
This scholarship is open to any prospective student in the United St... ates who plans to enroll in a trade or vocational school, 2 or 4 year university, accredited community college or other automotive higher education institution within the next 12 months.
The applicant must complete a short essay (500 words or less) detailing why they are pursuing an automotive degree.
The applicant must provide a phone number and email address for correspondence about the grant award selection process.
The Future Mechanic Grant for the Fall/Winter Semester is a one-time financial gift of $1,000.
The grant will be awarded to the applicant who best answers the application criteria, including the short essay.
The award funds may be applied to any expenses associated with pursuing an automotive degree or certification.
This is a one-time financial gift and does not need to be paid back to Trade School Future. more

The program is designed to assist financially needy students in the top 20-40% of Kansas high school graduates who are designated as a State Scholar. Minimum requirements include: 1) taking the ACT Assessment by December ; 2) completing the Regents Recommended Curriculum; 3) having curriculum and 7th semester GPA certified on the official roster by the high school counselor, registrar, or simila... r official, and 4) graduating during the most recent academic year. The academic profile of previous years' scholars included an average ACT of 29 and average GPA of 3.88. (Only students who receive a letter of designation are eligible.)
