Kansas Scholarships

Some states or counties have hundreds of scholarships for which you may qualify.

Elizabeth Jane 'Betty' (nee Moore) Lenze Scholarship

Preference to students majoring in English who plan to teach.

Ellsworth and Zella B. Dodrill Scholarship

Applicants must be majoring in Education.

English Department Scholarship

The Department of English offers approximately $2,000 in scholarships ranging from $100 to over $500 annually to students majoring in English.

English Development Fund Scholarship

English scholarships for students majoring in English.

English Honor Award

Available to incoming freshmen who declare an English major. Awards range from $200-$600.

Ethel Solomon Berland Fund

Recipient must be a junior or senior accepted into the nursing program with a minimum 3.2 GPA. Preference to students from Rush and Ellis counties. Second preference to students from northwest Kansas. The boundaries will be north of I-70 and west of Highway 183.

Ethel V. Artman Scholarship

Recipient should be a sophomore female student with financial need.

Eugene R. Craine Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a sophomore, junior, or senior History major with at least a 3.0 overall GPA. Applicant must include a one-page essay linking his or her career goals with interest in the study of history.

Farm Credit Scholarship

Eligibility: 1. Demonstrate leadership and academic potential (3.0 or above GPA) 2. Farm background 3. Agriculture Business or Business major 4. Preference given to sons and daughters of Farm Credit members, juniors and seniors.

Farm Credit of Ness City Scholarship Program

Students or their parent (guardian) must be a stockholder of Farm Credit of Ness City. The student must be completing the last half of their degree or program and be enrolled in their next term. The student should exhibit leadership potential, initiative, and have a minimum GPA of 2.5. Four (4) $500 scholarships are awarded annually. Students may obtain an application from the Farm Credit of Ness City main office, or online at www.farmcreditnesscity.com/scholarship_application.htm, or by calling 1-800-950-3522.

Farmers Alliance Scholarship

Eligibility: 1. Declared major in Management Information Systems. 2. Junior or senior standing. 3. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.

FHSU Legacy Scholarship

All new first-time freshman, non-resident students living outside of Kansas, Colorado, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Nebraska, who meet the designated criteria, are eligible for consideration. The individual awards will be $5,000 per academic year, renewable up to three additional years, or $20,000 total.
