Activia Training Annual Scholarship Award

Activia Training are pleased to offer a $1,500 annual scholarship for college, university, high school or trade school students in the US. There is no specific course of study required, and you can use the money in whatever way that you feel benefits your studies the most. There will be two scholarship awards of $750 each year, awarded in November and May as follows: - The video winner will receive $500 - The essay format winner will receive $250 Furthermore, all entries adjudged to be of a suitable standard will be eligible for an “expenses award” as follows: - YouTube videos: $20 - Blog articles: $15 To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be at least 16 years of age and attending, or have secured a place, at a college, university, high school or trade school in the US. Airgas - Jerry Baker Scholarship

The purpose for this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to those individuals interested in pursuing a career in welding engineering. Eligibility The Airgas ­ Jerry Baker Scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate student pursuing a minimum four-year bachelors degree in welding engineering (WE) or welding engineering technology (WET); however, priority will be given to welding engineering (WE) students interested in pursuing a career with an industrial gas or welding equipment distributor. All applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements. Applicant must be a minimum of eighteen years of age. Applicant must have a minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Applicant must be a full-time student as defined by the academic institution. Applicant must have at least a 2.8 overall grade point average with a 3.0 grade point average in engineering courses. Financial need is not required; however, priority will be given to those individuals demonstrating a financial need. Priority will be given to those individuals who demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career with an industrial gas or welding equipment distributor by prior work experience, clubs, organizations or extra-curricular activities. Applicant must be a citizen of the United States or Canada and plan to attend an academic institution located within the United States or Canada. Applicant must submit all required application information. Priority will be given to those individuals residing or attending school in the states of Alabama, Georgia or Florida. (A resident is defined as having lived in the specified area for a minimum of one year.) Applicants may reapply; however, persons who have received this award may reapply and may be granted the award for a maximum of four years. The award will be presented to individuals nationwide. Applicant does not have to be a member of the American Welding Society. The AWS Foundation does not discriminate by age, race, color, national origin, disability, creed, or gender. Selection The recipient will be chosen by a Selection Committee comprised of five (5) members, selected by the Education Scholarship Committee. The Selection Committee will determine award recipient in February of each year. Recipient will be announced at the National Awards Luncheon. Awards One $2,500 award will be given annually. No recipient shall receive more than one AWS National Scholarship award per year. No awards will be paid to the recipient. All awards are for tuition and books only, and will be paid directly to the academic institution by the AWS Foundation.

SelectSpace Scholarship

Selectspace scholarship At SelectSpace Partitions, we are proud to offer a scholarship program for students in the process of pursuing a college degree. The awarded student will receive $500 to be used towards expenses for his or her degree. Who may apply? U.S. citizens accepted to or currently attending a college or university within the United States. The winner will be required to provide proof of acceptance to your college or university, or a college transcript. Deadline: Applications must be submitted via the web form by November 30. Next Steps: The award recipient will be notified of the selection on or around December 31. The scholarship award is to be used exclusively for school tuition or related expenses. A check for $500 will be made payable to the award recipient’s college or university. The recipient is expected to submit receipts in accordance with IRS regulations.

Jay Murphy Scholarship

Designed to provide financial aid to deserving individuals who have the desire to become teachers, who relate well with young people, and who can benefit from the financial assistance it offers. Applicants may be entering or continuing college, individuals who are in education and want to upgrade their skills, or working individuals who wish to return to college to become teachers. Applicants must have a 2.5 GPA. Finalists may interview with the selection committee. Available to seniors graduating from any Montgomery County High School

John Martin Thornton Memorial Scholarship

Awards are based 75% on academic accomplishment and 25% on financial need. The number of scholarships and amounts awarded each year will vary depending on available funds. Students who receive a scholarship for their freshmen year of college may annually reapply for a scholarship award for up to three additional years. Availability/amounts of additional awards are contingent on student’s satisfactory academic performance, financial need and availability of funds. An application, high school transcript, at least two reference letters from school faculty or administration, and an essay outlining applicant's career goals are required for initial applicants. Renewal application and college transcript are required for renewal applicants. The committee reserves the right to conduct interviews with applicants. CareerFitter’s 16th Annual Scholarship

Our scholarship fund was founded in 2003 and we have awarded 19 winners during this time. We are trusted by universities, career coaches and companies around the world, and have helped hundreds of students find direction in choosing a well-fitting career path. We understand the overwhelming number of career opportunities available to students and how difficult this can be to navigate. CareerFitter has tailored its career assessment tool to examine multiple factors of the person to ensure a range of considerations is made to find an appropriate career. For the 2019 award, we have doubled the value to $1000 to further our support of students and their education. Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to apply. A specific major is not required for this award, but the applicant should have above a 2.4 Grade Point Average.

NACA South Student Leadership Scholarships

Criteria Applicants must:  Be full-time, matriculated undergraduate students in good standing at the time of the application and during the semester in which the award is received  Demonstrate significant leadership skill and ability  Hold a significant leadership position on campus  Have made significant contributions via volunteer involvement, either on or off-campus; and,  Be enrolled in a college or university within the NACA® South Region. NACA® membership or involvement is not a criterion for selection. Application Process To apply, the following materials must be received in the NACA® Office no later than March 31:  A completed and signed application form  A least two letters of recommendation, which may be attached to the application form or forwarded separately to the NACA® Office. These letters should be from administrators or faculty who are well-acquainted with the applicant as a student leader, and should specify the applicant’s leadership positions, responsibilities, skills and ability, training and accomplishments  A resume or description of the applicant’s leadership activities, skills and ability, training and accomplishments  A verification from the college/university registrar confirming the applicant’s enrollment status

Harriet Erich Graduate Fellowship

Awarded to Tri Delta enrolled in an accredited graduate program at the University of Alabama.

Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham Scholarship

Scholarship Value: $2,500 Classifications: Open Minimum GPA: 2.5 Eligible Majors: Open Eligible Schools: Miles College, Oakwood College, Stillman College, Talladega College, Tuskegee University Eligible Locations: Alabama Scholarship Detail: The Community Services is a service learning project designed to increase community awareness among Central Alabama student residents enrolled in Alabama UNCF Member Institutions. The programs mission is to give students a more in depth perspective on the issues and needs of their communities and to encourage them to seek viable solutions to community problems. The candidates must be a permanent resident within Central Alabama. The scholarship will be restricted to Jefferson, Shelby, Walker, Blount and St. Clair Counties. CollegeCounts Scholarship Program

The CollegeCounts Scholarship Program is designed to offer financial assistance to Alabama students who plan to enroll in Alabama colleges and universities. This is a one-time award being offered to high school seniors or first-time college freshmen. It will provide $4,000 to qualified recipients enrolling in four-year schools and $2,000 to those enrolling in two-year schools. Scholarships may be applied to tuition, fees, books, supplies and equipment. Eligible students may apply online beginning January 2, 2013 at www.collegecountsalabama.com.
