Eligibility: * Awarded to in-state undergraduates with preference given to members of the Beta Eta Chapter of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. * Preference will also be given to students who intend to practice medicine and are majoring in medicine or a related life science field.

Regeneron STS is the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science research competition for high school students. Started in 1942 as the Westinghouse Science Talent Search, Regeneron STS recognizes and empowers our nation’s most promising young scientists who are developing ideas that could solve society’s most urgent challenges. Each year, nearly 2,000 students enter the Regeneron STS, submitting original research in critically important scientific fields of study. Carlson Caspers' Diversity Scholarship Program annually provides up to two $5,000 scholarships to prospective law students who are pursuing or who have obtained a degree in chemistry, physics, life sciences, pharmacy, engineering, or computer science and who are committed to practicing intellectual property law in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. Scholarship recipients will be considered for a paid internship at Carlson Caspers during the summer prior to entering law school and will be considered for a paid clerkship during the summers after their first and second years of law school.

The Mathematics and Science Teachers Scholarship Program was established as a pilot initiative by the Massachusetts Legislature for the purpose of providing financial assistance for coursework leading to the initial educator license in a Mathematics or Science field for teachers who are currently employed in Massachusetts public schools and teaching Mathematics or Science courses under either a preliminary license, waiver, or are teaching outside of their licensed field. This scholarship serves to address the Mathematics and Science teacher shortage and is also designed to help reduce financial barriers that teachers often face when pursuing degree programs or required courses of study. Who Is Eligible? To be eligible for the Mathematics and Science Teachers Scholarship Program, an applicant must: be employed, full or part-time, as an educator in a Massachusetts public school or school that provides publicly-funded special education and be currently teaching Mathematics or Science (including Technology or Engineering) under a preliminary license, waiver, or outside their licensed area; and meet the following criteria: be a permanent legal resident of Massachusetts be a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen be enrolled in up to three higher education courses per academic semester in fulfillment of degree or program requirements in a state-approved educator preparation program for the initial license in the Mathematics or Science field and level of interest sign an agreement to continue teaching Mathematics or Science (including Technology/Engineering) full time in a Massachusetts public school for a term of service after completion of courses or program (no longer teaching out-of-field) or repay funds as defined by the scholarship terms and conditions be eligible under Title IV Regulations and not in default of a state or federal education loan or grant annually file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Priority consideration will be given to applicants meeting the above criteria who are teaching full or part time in a high-need district. A high-need district is a district that has been identified for corrective action in which there are one or more schools identified for corrective action or restructuring or districts in which the percentage of low-income students is 40 percent or greater. Preference will be given to applicants who are identified by superintendents or principals as highly talented educators, who have demonstrated a commitment to education and to instructional excellence. Eligible Institutions For the purpose of this scholarship program, an eligible institution is defined as a public or private college or university in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that has an approved educator preparation program for the initial license in the Mathematics or Science field and level of interest. Award Amounts The value of the scholarship for this program will vary, depending on the institution, and may be awarded to cover the cost of tuition, fees, and related expenses for up to three courses per academic semester, based on availability of funds. Teachers in high-need districts are eligible to receive 100% of these costs and teachers employed in non-high-need districts are eligible to receive partial funding, 75% of these costs.

The Annual Eileen J. Garrett Scholarship of $3000 is designed to assist a student attending an accredited college or university who wishes to pursue the academic study of the science of parapsychology. Applicants must demonstrate a previous interest in parapsychology by including a sample of writings on the subject with the application form. Letters of reference are also required from three individuals who are familiar with the applicant’s work and/or studies in parapsychology. The deadline for receipt of the completed application is July 15th. Only the chosen awardee is notified by August 1st. AfterCollege is proud to offer a $500 scholarship for students currently seeking a degree (AA,AS, BA,BS, MS, PhD) in the field of Business. Students must be in good standing in an accredited science program (including but not limited to: Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Meteorology, Oceanography, Physics, Zoology) and carry a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Scholarship recipients will be chosen by the AfterCollege Scholarship Committee, and recipients will be announced during the month following the deadline. • Student must have an AfterCollege profile (registration and all services are free to students) • Must be a full-time student at the time of the scholarship deadline

The AFCEA Scholarship for Working Professionals will provide $1,500 to those students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree while employed in the science or technology disciplines directly related to the mission of AFCEA. Undergraduate candidates must be at least second-year students attending an accredited college or university in the United States. Graduate students must have completed at least two postgraduate-level classes prior to the deadline date. The scholarship is intended for students attending school on a part-time basis, whether at a two-year community college or accredited university institution. Part-time status will be defined as enrollment in at least two classes per semester with a declared major in a science or technology degree program. Students enrolled in online or distance-learning programs will be eligible, as long as all other criteria are met. Eligible students must also be currently employed (see above). Eligibility: Candidate must be a U.S. citizen, attending an accredited college or university in the United States as either a traditional or distance-learning student, and majoring in electrical, chemical, systems or aerospace engineering; mathematics; physics; technical management; computer information systems; computer science or related fields. Undergraduate applications will be accepted from sophomore, junior and senior students - minimum second-year students please. An overall GPA of 3.4 is required. Graduate applications will be accepted from students who have completed at least two postgraduate-level courses and are enrolled in an eligible degree-granting master's degree program. Fellowships of $15,000 will be awarded to full-time postgraduate students who have earned Master's degrees or the equivalent and who are currently enrolled in a doctoral degree program in the following or related fields of electrical, electronics, chemical, systems or communications engineering; physics; mathematics; or computer science. Majors directly related to the support of U.S. intelligence enterprises with relevance to the mission of AFCEA will also be eligible. The dissertation title or abstract of the specific area of research is required. Important: Candidates must be a U.S. citizen with earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees (or their equivalents) and be currently enrolled in a doctoral program at any accredited university in the United States. A thesis statement or abstract of the intended area and nature of research is required. Primary consideration will be given for demonstrated excellence of the research topic. Please note: Endorsement by the Dean of the College of Engineering is required, regardless of major. The AFCEA Ph.D. Fellowship seeks to reward excellence for demonstrated effort at the doctoral level of study, rather than the potential for such excellence. The Honor Certificate Award Program is designed to recognize ROTC cadet and midshipman achievement in leadership and academics. The award includes a framed parchment certificate with the honoree's name prominently inscribed and a ribbon bar. This program is separate and distinct from the AFCEA Scholarship Program, but an ROTC student may apply for and receive both. Recipients of the awards will be selected by individual Professors of Military Science, Naval Science, or Aerospace Studies in accordance with the appropriate Service Department Regulation. Each interested ROTC unit may make one Honor Award nomination annually. The Army, Navy/Marine Corps and Air Force ROTC units at an institution may each submit one nomination. Eligibility: Students receiving the ROTC Honor Certificate Award must be U.S. citizens and juniors preparing to enter their senior year (rising seniors) who are majoring in electronics, electrical, aerospace, or communications engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science or technology, information management systems or related technical disciplines. Scholarships of $2,000 each will be awarded to ROTC students majoring in the following or C4I-related fields of electrical, computer, chemical, systems or aerospace engineering; electronics; computer science; physics; mathematics; science or mathematics education; technology management; or other technical fields at accredited degree-granting four-year colleges or universities in the United States. Majors directly related to the support of U.S. intelligence or national security enterprises with relevance to the mission of AFCEA will also be eligible. Candidates must be at least second-year college students, enrolled full time as sophomores or juniors at the time of application. Eligibility: Candidates must be nominated by the Professor of Military Science, Naval Science, Aerospace Studies or designated Commanding Officer as appropriate. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen enrolled in ROTC, have good moral character, demonstrate academic excellence, exhibit the potential to serve as an officer in the U.S. Armed Forces, and have a financial need. In addition, applicants must provide two Letters of Recommendation from faculty in their field of study. An official transcript including all college-level study as well as courses in progress is also required.
