Battle Creek Area EMS Scholarship
Persons who have a career or hope to have a career within emergency medical services and plan to work or volunteer in the EMS field within the greater Battle Creek area. How to Apply: These applications are available at the LifeCare Ambulance Office.
Battle Creek Kennel Club Scholarship
Student who are currently attending the Veterinary College at Michigan State University. The recipient must be a resident of the Kennel Club service area. Upon graduation, the recipient must plan to enter a small animal practice. How to Apply: Applications are available at the Battle Creek Kennel Club.
Battle Creek Lodge #12 Free & Accepted Masons Scholarship
Graduating seniors from Lakeview, Battle Creek Central, Pennfield, Harper Creek, Battle Creek Academy, St. Philip Catholic Central, and Calhoun Christian who are seeking educational opportunities in undergraduate studies at an accredited college or university and will be attending classes full time. Good attendance record, financial need, as well as having demonstrated high honor, integrity, and morality through past actions in the community. Bettie & Jim Cox Scholarship
CATC graduating seniors who have been accepted or enrolled in a manufacturing training program. Applicants must have a 3.0 at the CATC and 2.0 or higher at their home school. How to Apply: CATC guidance office for application along with it a one to two page essay explaining why you have chosen to pursue a career in manufacturing technology, letter of recommendation, and proof of acceptance to a post-secondary school. C. Glen Walter Scholarship
Harper Creek graduating senior or Harper Creek Community School staff member, seeking training that will enhance professional performance. CATC Automotive Technology Scholarship
CATC graduating senior who has been accepted or enrolled din an automotive training program. Applicant must have a 3.0 at the CATC and 2.0 or higher at their home school. How to Apply: CATC guidance office for applicaton.
CATC Clara Miner-Fuller Scholarship
The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. Psalm 121:8. CATC graduate or graduating seniors who are pursuing studies in the technical field with preference given to Agriscience, and Natural Resources or related programs. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Scholarship
African-American female graduating seniors of Battle Creek area public and private schools. Must have a 3.0 GPA or better, financial need, and a letter of reference sustaining community service, including church work (i.e. outreach programs). DENSO Manufacturing Scholarship
Associates children from the Battle Creek facility of DENSO Manufacturing Michigan, Inc., who will be pursuing post-secondary training. Extra-curricular activities, work experience, personal recommendations, interview and an essay are among the selection criteria. Detective LaVern S. Brann Scholarship
The Fund was established for the purpose of providing scholarships to individuals who are considered a minority by race or representation in the police officer profession. The scholarship will be available for graduates or graduating seniors from the Battle Creek area who are seeking educational opportunities in the Kellogg Community College Police Academy in order to become a police officer. The Battle Creek area is defined as residents or schools providing diplomas or other graduating equivalency in the townships of Pennfield, Emmett, Bedford and the Cities of Springfield and Battle Creek. Students should demonstrate potential to succeed in the police academy program. Financial need, character, and volunteer involvement, leadership and commitment to community will also be considered. For the purpose of this scholarship minority will be defined as African American, Hispanic, Female or other populations which are under-represented in the police officer profession. Dr. Paul & Evelyn A. Ponitz Scholarship
Graduates or graduating seniors from the Battle Creek area public and private schools who will be pursuing a degree toward a career at a well recognized university or community college. Must be goal oriented, dedicated, energized, and fully committed to obtaining degree. Financial need will be considered. Dr. Roman Zaplitny Memorial Scholarship
Graduates or graduating seniors of the Battle Creek Area Math & Science Center who will pursue a career in medicine. The selection criteria will include academic achievement, commitment, motivation for pursuing a career through the completion of medical school. As a noted physician in the Battle Creek community, the Dr. Roman Zaplitny Memorial Scholarship was established at his death in 1994 in honor of his work in the Battle Creek community.
