For the 2019 award, we have doubled the value to $1000 to further our support of students and their education. Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to apply. A specific major is not required for this award, but the applicant should have above a 2.4 Grade Point Average.
Boy Scout Scholarship
Students must be graduating high school senior, a qualified Senior Boy Scout or Explorer, and a resident of Illinois. Must write a 500 word essay on Legion' s Americanism and Boy Scout programs. Deadline is April 30th.
American Legion Oratorical Contest
Students in the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades of any accredited high school in Illinois. Speech contests begin in January. Oratorical contest starts at the Post level and goes on to District and then on to Division and then to Department and then on to the National Competition.
Illinois American Legion Scholarship
Students must be graduating high school seniors and son or daughters or grandsons or granddaughters of members of The American Legion Illinois. Awards will be based on academics and need.
NATAS Scholarships - Chicago/Midwest Chapter
The first set of scholarships is for students currently enrolled in college or graduate school:
Applicants must:
Be enrolled in an accredited college or university within the ADI (area of dominant influence) of the television markets within the Chicago/Midwest chapter jurisdiction OR have your primary residence (home address) within the ADI of the television markets within the Chicago/Midwest chapter jurisdiction OR be a relative of a member in good standing of the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the Television Academy. The television markets that the Chicago/Midwest Chapter covers are: Chicago, IL; Peoria-Bloomington, IL; Rockford, IL; Green Bay-Appleton, WI; Madison, WI; Milwaukee, WI; Wausau-Rhinelander, WI; and South Bend-Elkhart, IN.
Will attain senior level status, in a bachelor’s degree program, as of the fall term OR be enrolled in a graduate degree program in that term.
Be able to demonstrate a course of study that supports the intention to pursue a career in the television industry.
The 2nd set of scholarships is for current high school seniors preparing to attend post-secondary institutions and who are committed to careers in the television industry
Applicants must:
Have attained senior level status in high school.
Be able to demonstrate a planned course of study in a college or university that supports the intention to pursue a career in the television industry.

Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of professional potential and commitment. Applications are reviewed by a prestigious group of television professionals. They are scored based on their essay responses, and their demonstrated commitment to the television industry (via internships, school projects, etc.). Finalists are personally interviewed. The Foundation advertises its scholarships through emails and flyers to the schools in their region.
Italian Catholic Federation First Year Scholarship
To apply, students must achieve a total cumulative GPA (3½ years) of at least 3.2 and meet one of the following:
1) Are Roman Catholic and of Italian Descent and live within the Roman Catholic Dioceses of Arizona, California, Illinois and Nevada, only where Branches of the Federation are established; or,
2) Are Roman Catholic but need not be of Italian Descent or live where Branches of the Federation are established if either Roman Catholic parent, guardian or grandparent is a member of the "Italian Catholic Federation."
First year scholarships in the amount of $400 will be awarded to approximately 200 applicants. First year scholarship winners are eligible for second, third, and fourth year awards of $500, $600, and $1,000 respectively.

Danny McCue Memorial/Aurora Firefighters Scholarship
Available to students entering their first year of undergraduate study. Reserved for students employed by the Aurora Fire Department or for students whose parent or grandparent is employed by or retired from the Aurora Fire Department.
Clay lacy Professional Pilot Scholarship
This scholarship provides highly qualified potential flight students with financial need the opportunity to attend a professional pilot program and participate in flight by living on the EAA Air Academy campus. A possible four scholarships are awarded of up to $12,500 each.
Illinois State Council Pam Baker Memorial Scholarship
Funding for this scholarship, in memory of Pam Baker, is made possible by the generosity of the Illinois ENA State Council members through the 2008 ENA Foundation State Challenge Campaign. Requirements: This scholarship is awarded to an emergency nurse (RN) pursuing a Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN). Eligibility Requirements: * A minimum of a 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) is required for consideration. * Applicants must be attending a NLN or AACN accredited school.
AT&T Foundation Scholarship
Scholarship Value: $5,000 Classifications: Undergraduate Junior Minimum GPA: 3.0 Eligible Majors: Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Information Systems, Marketing, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Management, Mechanical Engineering, Management Information Systems Eligible Schools: UNCF Member Colleges and Universities Eligible Locations: Missouri, California, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan, Kansas, Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma Scholarship Detail: AT&T Foundation will award scholarships in the amount of $5,000 to selected recipients within their three service areas: Midwestern Region, Southwestern Region and the state of California.
Chicago Public Schools UNCF Campaign
Scholarship Value: Varies, based on need Classifications: Undergraduate Freshman Minimum GPA: 2.5 Eligible Majors: Open Eligible Schools: UNCF Member Colleges and Universities (please check the website for the complete list) Eligible Locations: Illinois Scholarship Detail: This scholarship is open to students who have attended Chicago Public Schools. The scholarship pays tuition and fees for four years. Donor/Sponsor Name: Chicago Public Schools Giving limited to Illinois.
