Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellowship For Minorities is a $17,000 stipend per year for 3 years. Open to individuals who are members of the following groups: Alaska Natives (Eskimo or Aleut), Native American Indians, Black/African Americans, Puerto Ricans, Mexican Americans/Chicanas/Chicanos, and Native Pacific Islanders (Polynesian or Micronesian). Applicants must be registered full-time in a research-based doctoral program (Ph.D. or Sc.D.). Eligible fields include: Research-based areas of the social and behavioral sciences, education, engineering, humanities, life sciences, mathematics, and physical sciences.

Carlson Caspers' Diversity Scholarship Program annually provides up to two $5,000 scholarships to prospective law students who are pursuing or who have obtained a degree in chemistry, physics, life sciences, pharmacy, engineering, or computer science and who are committed to practicing intellectual property law in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. Scholarship recipients will be considered for a paid internship at Carlson Caspers during the summer prior to entering law school and will be considered for a paid clerkship during the summers after their first and second years of law school.

AfterCollege is proud to offer a $500 scholarship for students currently seeking a degree (AA,AS, BA,BS, MS, PhD) in the field of Business. Students must be in good standing in an accredited science program (including but not limited to: Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Meteorology, Oceanography, Physics, Zoology) and carry a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Fellowships of $15,000 will be awarded to full-time postgraduate students who have earned Master's degrees or the equivalent and who are currently enrolled in a doctoral degree program in the following or related fields of electrical, electronics, chemical, systems or communications engineering; physics; mathematics; or computer science. Majors directly related to the support of U.S. intelligence enterprises with relevance to the mission of AFCEA will also be eligible. The dissertation title or abstract of the specific area of research is required. Important: Candidates must be a U.S. citizen with earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees (or their equivalents) and be currently enrolled in a doctoral program at any accredited university in the United States. A thesis statement or abstract of the intended area and nature of research is required. Primary consideration will be given for demonstrated excellence of the research topic. The Honor Certificate Award Program is designed to recognize ROTC cadet and midshipman achievement in leadership and academics. The award includes a framed parchment certificate with the honoree's name prominently inscribed and a ribbon bar. This program is separate and distinct from the AFCEA Scholarship Program, but an ROTC student may apply for and receive both. Recipients of the awards will be selected by individual Professors of Military Science, Naval Science, or Aerospace Studies in accordance with the appropriate Service Department Regulation. Each interested ROTC unit may make one Honor Award nomination annually. The Army, Navy/Marine Corps and Air Force ROTC units at an institution may each submit one nomination. Eligibility: Students receiving the ROTC Honor Certificate Award must be U.S. citizens and juniors preparing to enter their senior year (rising seniors) who are majoring in electronics, electrical, aerospace, or communications engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science or technology, information management systems or related technical disciplines. Established in honor of AIA Honorary President Jane Waldbaum, this scholarship is intended to help students who are planning to participate in archaeological field work for the first time. Students majoring in archaeology or related disciplines are especially encouraged to apply. The Scholarship Fund provides $1000 each to help pay expenses associated with participation in an archaeological field work project (minimum stay one month/4 weeks). The scholarship is open to students who have begun their junior year of undergraduate studies at the time of application and have not yet completed their first year of graduate school at a college or university in the United States or Canada. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and must not have previously participated in archaeological field work of any kind. The committee will consider both academic achievement and financial need in its deliberations. AIA scholarships are open to students from all backgrounds. The Waldbaum Scholarship will be awarded to junior and senior undergraduates and first-year graduate students only. All applicants must complete the following: Complete online application form Provide names and emails of two references. You are responsible for ensuring that both referees have submitted their letters of recommendation online by the application deadline. Send transcripts: Transcripts must be official and include at least two full years of completed college-level work (4 semesters or 6 quarters), not counting AP credits. If you are a transfer student and have attended your current school for less than two years, please submit transcripts from your previous school(s) in order to provide a record of at least two full years of completed college-level work (4 semesters/6 quarters), not counting AP credits. Post-Baccalaureate and first year graduate students must submit both undergraduate and post-graduate transcripts.

The Mining & Exploration (M&E) Division of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration annually awards scholarships to promising college students who have chosen as a career path the field of mining engineering. Applicants must be majoring in mining, geology or other field of specialization covered by the M&E Division’s technical unit committees (Environmental Control & Reclamation, Geochemistry, Geology, Geomechanics, Geophysics, Hydrology, Open Pit Mining, Operations Research, Solution Mining, Underground Mining and Underground Ventilation). The Eugene P. Pfleider Memorial Scholarship is administered by the Mining & Exploration Division and is awarded on an annual basis to students pursuing careers in mining engineering. Eligible students may submit one application in consideration for both of these scholarships. See the scholarship guidelines for more information. Applicant Qualifications: M&E/Pfleider Scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50. 2. Demonstrate a desire for and a probability of success in a career in the mining/minerals industry. SEG Scholarships are based on merit. To qualify, you must be: A student who is either: Attending high school and planning to enter college next fall; An undergraduate or graduate college student whose grades are above average. Intending to pursue a college curriculum directed toward a career in applied geophysics or a closely related field, such as geosciences, physics, geology, or earth and environmental sciences.

The Astanza Q-Switched Laser Annual Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship awarded to students pursuing education in: Physics Biology Engineering Medicine Nursing Other natural or applied science fields The scholarship will only be awarded to students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 that are enrolling in an accredited college in the upcoming fall. The scholarship is a one-time award of $2,500 that may be used for tuition, books, and other education-related expenses.
