Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellowship For Minorities is a $17,000 stipend per year for 3 years. Open to individuals who are members of the following groups: Alaska Natives (Eskimo or Aleut), Native American Indians, Black/African Americans, Puerto Ricans, Mexican Americans/Chicanas/Chicanos, and Native Pacific Islanders (Polynesian or Micronesian). Applicants must be registered full-time in a research-based doctoral program (Ph.D. or Sc.D.). Eligible fields include: Research-based areas of the social and behavioral sciences, education, engineering, humanities, life sciences, mathematics, and physical sciences.

The Eva Evans Fellowship is awarded to individuals involved in scholarly research in the area of math, science or technology during even numbered years.

Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship provides $7,500 per year for educational expenses to outstanding sophomores and juniors majoring in mathematics, sciences, and engineering. The AFCEA Scholarship for Working Professionals will provide $1,500 to those students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree while employed in the science or technology disciplines directly related to the mission of AFCEA. Undergraduate candidates must be at least second-year students attending an accredited college or university in the United States. Graduate students must have completed at least two postgraduate-level classes prior to the deadline date. The scholarship is intended for students attending school on a part-time basis, whether at a two-year community college or accredited university institution. Part-time status will be defined as enrollment in at least two classes per semester with a declared major in a science or technology degree program. Students enrolled in online or distance-learning programs will be eligible, as long as all other criteria are met. Eligible students must also be currently employed (see above). Eligibility: Candidate must be a U.S. citizen, attending an accredited college or university in the United States as either a traditional or distance-learning student, and majoring in electrical, chemical, systems or aerospace engineering; mathematics; physics; technical management; computer information systems; computer science or related fields. Fellowships of $15,000 will be awarded to full-time postgraduate students who have earned Master's degrees or the equivalent and who are currently enrolled in a doctoral degree program in the following or related fields of electrical, electronics, chemical, systems or communications engineering; physics; mathematics; or computer science. Majors directly related to the support of U.S. intelligence enterprises with relevance to the mission of AFCEA will also be eligible. The dissertation title or abstract of the specific area of research is required. Important: Candidates must be a U.S. citizen with earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees (or their equivalents) and be currently enrolled in a doctoral program at any accredited university in the United States. A thesis statement or abstract of the intended area and nature of research is required. Primary consideration will be given for demonstrated excellence of the research topic. The Honor Certificate Award Program is designed to recognize ROTC cadet and midshipman achievement in leadership and academics. The award includes a framed parchment certificate with the honoree's name prominently inscribed and a ribbon bar. This program is separate and distinct from the AFCEA Scholarship Program, but an ROTC student may apply for and receive both. Recipients of the awards will be selected by individual Professors of Military Science, Naval Science, or Aerospace Studies in accordance with the appropriate Service Department Regulation. Each interested ROTC unit may make one Honor Award nomination annually. The Army, Navy/Marine Corps and Air Force ROTC units at an institution may each submit one nomination. Eligibility: Students receiving the ROTC Honor Certificate Award must be U.S. citizens and juniors preparing to enter their senior year (rising seniors) who are majoring in electronics, electrical, aerospace, or communications engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science or technology, information management systems or related technical disciplines. Scholarships of $2,000 each will be awarded to ROTC students majoring in the following or C4I-related fields of electrical, computer, chemical, systems or aerospace engineering; electronics; computer science; physics; mathematics; science or mathematics education; technology management; or other technical fields at accredited degree-granting four-year colleges or universities in the United States. Majors directly related to the support of U.S. intelligence or national security enterprises with relevance to the mission of AFCEA will also be eligible. Candidates must be at least second-year college students, enrolled full time as sophomores or juniors at the time of application. Eligibility: Candidates must be nominated by the Professor of Military Science, Naval Science, Aerospace Studies or designated Commanding Officer as appropriate. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen enrolled in ROTC, have good moral character, demonstrate academic excellence, exhibit the potential to serve as an officer in the U.S. Armed Forces, and have a financial need. In addition, applicants must provide two Letters of Recommendation from faculty in their field of study. An official transcript including all college-level study as well as courses in progress is also required. National Debt Relief will award 5 scholarships of $1,000 each to outstanding college students pursuing studies in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) fields.

Orangesoft offers a scholarship dedicated to female college or university students pursuing STEM, or other technology-related studies and careers. Purpose: The Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation offers these scholarships to provide a continuing source of highly qualified individuals for academic study and research in the fields of science, mathematics, and engineering. Programs Funded: Each scholarship covers eligible expenses for undergraduate tuition, fees, books, and room and board, up to a maximum of $7,500 annually. Junior-level scholarship recipients are eligible for a maximum of two years of scholarship support, and senior-level scholarship recipients are eligible for a maximum of one year of scholarship support. Pending funding, the Program provides a stipend of $32,000 and limited support for relocation and research-related expenses. The University of San Francisco invites applications from underrepresented scholars for the USF Dissertation Fellowship Program. Program: Scholars complete the dissertation and initiate an ongoing program of scholarly or creative work, and become familiar with the usual service responsibilities of a university faculty member. Scholars teach one course in the discipline each semester and serve the University in various capacities. Additional support includes office space, computer and library privileges.
