Math and Science Scholarship

Requirements: Major in Math, Physics, Science & Technology. Minimum GPA 3.0

Golden Key Math Scholarship

Description: This award recognizes members who excel in the study of math.Scholarships Available: Two - $1,000 (USD) scholarships.Eligibility: Those eligible are undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate members currently enrolled in classes at a degree-granting program at the time of award notification.Criteria: Academic achievement in field, quality of paper submitted.Please check the website for application requirements.

The National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship

The fellowship provides three years of financial support including a $30,000 annual stipend and $10,500 cost of education allowance. U.S. citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens at or near the beginning of research-based graduate studies in relevant science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines are eligible to apply. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Majors Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria:•Must be of Hispanic background•Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in the United States or Puerto Rico•Must be studying at an accredited university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico for the upcoming academic year•Must be (or plan to be) enrolled full-time as an undergraduate or graduate student for the upcoming academic year•Must have earned and maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average of no less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale•Must demonstrate financial need•Must be studying a major that falls under the STEM Majors Application

HSF/MassMutual Multicultural College Scholarship

Program Description:Through the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF), the MassMutual Financial Group is offering scholarships to assist outstanding minority students. This scholarship is open to African-American, Asian/Pacific Islander American and Hispanic undergraduate students in selected geographic locations and in selected majors. The award amount is $5,000.Eligibility Requirements * Be of African-American, Asian/Pacific Islander American or Hispanic heritage * Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired) * Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale * Have plans to enroll as a Sophomore, Junior or Senior * Have plans to enroll FULL-TIME in a degree seeking program at a U.S. accredited institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands or Guam during the 2009-2010 academic year * Be majoring in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Mathematics or Statistics * Students must have a permanent address in one of the following metropolitan areas: Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, or San Francisco * Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Arnold Schwartz Scholarship

Students pursuing a post-secondary education in math, science or engineering. For students who are Southridge High School graduates only. See website for deadline of application.

Lovell Family Scholarships

Students majoring in Math, Science or Education who are at least Junior status are eligible to apply. Highest GPA's are considered first.

Henry Morris Scholarship

For students majoring in Science (Biology/Mathematics).

Regeneron Science Talent Search

Regeneron STS is the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science research competition for high school students. Started in 1942 as the Westinghouse Science Talent Search, Regeneron STS recognizes and empowers our nation’s most promising young scientists who are developing ideas that could solve society’s most urgent challenges. Each year, nearly 2,000 students enter the Regeneron STS, submitting original research in critically important scientific fields of study. Unique among high school competitions, the Regeneron STS focuses on identifying, inspiring, and engaging the nation’s most promising future leaders in STEM. Eligibility: High school seniors living in the United States, and US citizens living abroad, who have completed independent research projects are encouraged to apply online for the chance to win up to $250,000! Arthur Vining Davis Science Scholarship

Eligibility: Entering freshwomen or transfer. Candidates are selected based on demonstrated ability and interest in science, mathematics and/or computer science. Amount - Up to $2,500 How to Apply - Submit a complete application for admission.

Community College Transfer Scholarship for Math & Science

Open to San Diego Community College students who are transferring to an accredited four-year university. Eligible students will declare a major in science, engineering, or mathematics. Students must submit a letter of acceptance from the four-year university to which they will be transferring at the time that they receive the scholarship. Students must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale in their community college work. Financial need will be strongly considered. Scholarships may be renewable for up to three years provided the recipient maintains a positive academic record (at least a 2.50 GPA) and remains a major in a science, mathematics or engineering field. 2.50 GPA for renewal of scholarship
