Here are some of the Health Care scholarships on our site for which you may qualify.
Deloris Carter Hampton Scholarship
For women of color who have a demonstrated history of activism and/or leadership in the LGBT community and are pursuing a degree in education, women’s health, or dance.
Derivative Duo Scholarship
For residents of Washington studying mental health or human services.
Don Renschler Scholarship
For Washington residents who are graduate students in the study of mental health.
Robert Browning Scholarship
For studies in the health sciences.
Kevin L. Boyer M.D. Charitable Foundation,Inc
The Foundation will provide scholarships, endowments, and grants for high school seniors who have expressed specific interest in health care education.
Interested students can apply for a foundation scholarship by writing a two page summary that includes:
I. Career intentions and a summary of the applicant’s goals in pursuing a career in a health care profession.
II. Events which have influenced the applicant’s future goals.
III. Factors demonstrating aptitude for a career in health care.
IV. Brief summary of the applicants financial need.
V. Qualifications, resume, and class ranking.
VI. Applicants personal information including names of parents, mailing address and reliable phone number.
Applications are currently accepted from students attending one of the following local schools: Manatee, Southeast, Bayshore, Braden River, and Lakewood Ranch.
Melvin H. & Ruth J. Schmidt Scholarship
Eligibility: Graduating senior or a past graduate of Stratford High School who intends to enroll in a health-related field(including certain hospital based programs.)Application: Available from Stratford High School Guidance Department
Fore Bill : Bill Allen Memorial Scholarship
Established by Mrs. Patricia Allen and the Fore Bill Memorial Celebration as a memorial to Bill Allen and his communityservice.Eligibility: Graduating Senior of Marshfield High School or Columbus Catholic High School planning to attend a university, technical school, or special school to pursue business, finance, marketing, health care, or a medically related field. The student must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA, have shown scholastic achievement, talent, ability, and have financial need. They also must be planning to continuing their love of music by participating in a musical performing group at their college.Application: MHS guidance office or CCHS guidance office
Susan K. & Douglas E. Dodge Scholarship
Eligibility Criteria:•Applicant must be a graduating senior of Reed City or Shepherd Community Schools. •Demonstrate academic ability with a minimum 3.25 GPA.•Demonstrate positive attitude toward school and community.•Demonstrate strong community involvement and volunteerism.•Have an interest in pursuing a career in public service (i.e. careers in the fields of education, health care, social services, ministry or political science)
Healthcare Education Scholarship Fund
These scholarships are for Hispanic high school seniors who demonstrate an interest in pursuing an education and/or career in any of the various fields of healthcare. Award Amount: $1,000 Max. Projected # of Awards: 1 - 2
AMRI Scholarship for Healthcare Students
American Medical Resource Institute (AMRI) is bringing back the annual scholarship program for students pursuing a career in the healthcare industry. This includes nurses, EMT’s, physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals. One applicant will be awarded $1,000 for completing a 2000-word essay covering one of two healthcare topics. A winner will be chosen on merit.
Imagine America High School Scholarship
The Imagine America Foundation created its Imagine America High School Scholarship Program in 1998 to help provide scholarships for high school students. This annual scholarship program has helped thousands of high school seniors afford a career education at hundreds of career schools across the United States. Each year, every high school in the United States and Puerto Rico may nominate up to five graduating seniors to receive a $1,000 Imagine America scholarship!
Healthcare Leaders Scholarship
IMPORTANT DATES
Applications Accepted: February 10, 2017 - January 29, 2018
Final Award Selection: March 15, 2018
Scholarship Awarded: Spring Quarter 2018
REQUIREMENTS
The Healthcare Leaders Scholarship is offered to students entering or currently pursuing an educational program related to nursing or medicine. Applicant must be a US citizen, at least 17 years of age, and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
All applicants must submit a 600 to 1,000-word essay explaining what they hope to accomplish during their career in the medical field and how the scholarship would fulfill those goals. Recommended topics are included in the Personal Essay section.
All applications must be received by January 29th, 2018. Finalists will be notified in February and must provide proof of enrollment and GPA (letters of acceptance, transcripts, etc.) before the scholarship recipient is selected.
SELECTION
Applications will be reviewed by a panel. The winner will be selected based on the criteria set forth in the requirements section of this document.
Once the winner is decided and notified of the award, he/she will receive a mailed 1099-MISC tax form and the check will be delivered to their address. The winner of the scholarship award will be fully responsible for the taxes incurred from receiving the award.
