Some states or counties have hundreds of scholarships for which you may qualify.

Walter C. Winchester Scholarship

Student is a senior graduating from a Grand Rapids Public High School. Must demonstrate need and have a minimum 3.3 GPA.

Youth Enrichment Scholarship

Student is a high school senior who participated in the Youth Enrichment Scholarship Program from 4th through 8th grade. Must have financial need, a minimum 2.0 GPA and be accepted into an accredited college/university or technical school program.

HSF/GE Hispanic Forum Scholarship Program

Eligibility Requirements: Be of Hispanic heritage Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired) or be granted Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Must intend to enroll as an undergraduate Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior or 5th Year Senior in the next academic year and be pursuing first undergraduate degree Must major in one of the following: Accounting, Aeronautics/Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, Biochemistry, Bioengineering/Biotechnology, Biology, Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computational Biology/Bioinformatics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybernetics/Robotics, Economics, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Finance, Industrial Engineering/Technology, Information Technology (IT/MIS), International Business, Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Marketing, Materials Science/Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics, Mechanical Engineering, Neuroscience, Nuclear Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Physics, Science, Supply Chain Management, Telecommunications Have plans to enroll FULL-TIME at a four-year U.S. accredited college or university in the geographic locations listed above. Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). DACA applicants must submit household income information. Will be invited to be mentored by a GE Hispanic Forum member and enrolled into a career readiness program Please check website for deadline of application.

Business Department Scholarship

Requirements: Scholarships will be awarded to high school students who have been identified by those business teachers attending the spring GRCC Business Division Scholarship Reception. Recipients must have attained a minimum GPA of 2.5 and plan to enroll in specific business programs at GRCC. $150 textbook grants may also be awarded selected sophomore applicants majoring in business at GRCC. $500 scholarships ($250 each semester) will be awarded to high school students who have been selected by the Business Faculty.

Tripz.com Vacation Rental Community Scholarship

Tripz.com is offering up to $1,000 Scholarship for students that can best exemplify in an essay how tourism positively impacts their community and what attracts travelers to the communities local sights, sounds and experiences.

Peters Foundation

Peters Foundation, Corp., is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides a limited amount of scholarship grants to high school seniors pursuing studies in the field of environment, conservation and forestry at any accredited college or studies in primary or secondary education at a Christian college. The scholarships are a total award that range from $10,000 to $20,000 over a four-year period ($2,500 to $5,000 per year) that may be for tuition and are administered at the determination of the selection committee of the Foundation. The selection committee determines scholarship amount based on economic need, academic potential and other analysis. Students receiving scholarships will be subject to reporting requirements to the Foundation. Applicants must attend colleges located in Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Arizona or Colorado. The selection committee will perform a Phase I application analysis. Selected applicants will be invited to complete a Phase II application. The selection committee will subsequently perform a Phase II application analysis.

Dr. Gerald O'Connor Michigan Quarter Horse Youth Scholarship

$2,000 four-year scholarship Ideal candidates have been a member of AQHA or AQHYA for at least one year and are from Michigan. Members must apply during their senior year of high school or while enrolled at an accredited college, university or vocational school. Recipient must maintain a cumulative 2.5 grade point average. Current or previous AQHF scholarship recipients are not eligible to receive this scholarship. Funding for this scholarship will be applied to a four-year undergraduate degree program of the student's choice.

Empowering Women In Law Scholarship

The Pearce Law Firm in Philadelphia is pleased to offer The Pearce Law Firm – Empowering Women In Law Scholarship. This scholarship opportunity is open to women nationwide who are currently attending a law school in the United States. This scholarship is intended to encourage & support outstanding achievement & leadership by example from women in the field of law. This award will be presented to a current female law student for the following academic year in the amount of $2,000.00 & will be paid at the beginning of the fall semester (2015). Requirements: This scholarship is judged & awarded primarily on academic achievement, school & community activities, demonstrated leadership abilities & financial need. The scholarship must be submitted, in full, by December 31, 2014. LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. The applicant must be a current female law student. Applicant will have successfully completed at least one semester of law school but will not yet have graduated by fall semester of 2015. Must have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0. A transcript must be attached for application to be considered. An unopened copy of transcripts, sent from the applicant’s most recent law school will be required from finalists before award is presented. This scholarship is a one-time award worth $2,000. Although not required, applicants are encouraged to submit recommendation letters and/or resumes to substantiate their application.

The Goldie Initiative

The Goldie Initiative offers a prestigious leadership program designed to develop the next generation of women executives in the commercial real estate (CRE) industry. The Goldie Initiative was founded by Goldie B. Wolfe Miller, a renowned commercial real estate broker and entrepreneur. Our mission is to prepare women for senior leadership roles in all sectors of CRE. The Goldie Initiative does this by providing scholarship support for graduate study, mentorship, and networking opportunities for women with high potential who are committed to becoming leaders in the real estate industry. Our program supports women pursuing graduate-level studies in business with a focus on real estate. The types of degrees our graduates earn include but are not limited to Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and Masters of Science in Real Estate (MSRE). DR. LYNNE BOYLE/JOHN SCHIMPF SCHOLARSHIP - Undergraduate/Graduate

A scholarship grant of $1000 is being offered to a full-time undergraduate or graduate student, majoring in broadcasting (or other designated television major) at an accredited college or university in the Michigan area. For consideration of this award, applicants must: Complete the online scholarship grant application. Write a personal statement. Letters of recommendation. Official copy of transcript. Film or video compilation of work.

DR. LYNNE BOYLE/JOHN SCHIMPF SCHOLARSHIP - High School Grant

A grant of $1000 is offered to a high school in the Michigan area to assist with equipment for broadcast or media classes. For consideration of this award, applicants must: Complete the online grant application. A brief personal statement. A letter from the principal Film or video compilation of work.

AGBU - Heritage Scholar Grant

AGBU offers scholarships to one (1) to two (2) college-bound high school seniors graduating from each of the three AGBU high schools in the United States. Applicants must be seniors with a GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) and above at any of the following three AGBU high schools within the United States: AGBU Manoogian-Demirdjian School in Canoga Park, CA; AGBU Alex and Marie Manoogian School in Southfield, MI; AGBU Vatche & Tamar Manoukian High School in Pasadena, CA. Applicants must be admitted to a selective university and must be nominated for the grant by the principal and faculty of their respective high school. This is a one-time grant with awards ranging from $1,000-$2,000 USD.
