Western Union Foundation Global Scholarship Program

The Western Union Foundation Global Scholarship Program (WU Scholars) is a program designed to support young people and their efforts to pursue a post-secondary education. Selected scholarship recipients will receive USD $2,500 each to contribute toward tuition or school fees at an accredited post-secondary institution and will be selected based on criteria relating to the program's three pillars: Perseverance, Aspiration, and Community. To be eligible, students must be seeking an undergraduate degree in one of the following categories: science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and business/entrepreneurship. The application, which requires a letter of recommendation and an academic transcript, opens Wednesday March 8th. The application deadline is Wednesday, April 12 at noon Eastern Standard Time. Healing Arts Scholarship

Banyan Tree Healing Center is committed to supporting the future of the Healing Arts & Related Fields in all its unique expressions including: Physical, Mental, Spiritual, Family, Community, or Global Health. We are interested in endeavors that help people to become healthy and whole, expand consciousness, improve communities and make the world a cleaner, harmonious, and more compassionate place to live. We are exceptionally interested in anything that seeks to apply compassion to human suffering whether this be through a professional career or through volunteer or charity work. We are offering ongoing, yearly scholarships of $250 - $500 to students who are seeking a future career path in service to humanity.

Dr. Alvin & Monica Saake Foundation Fund

This scholarship is named for Dr. Alvin Saake, a former coach of the University of Hawai'i basketball team in the 1950's and 60's who passed away in 2003. His commitment to higher education lives on in this scholarship. You were chosen for your interest in the fields of Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Leisure Science or other related fields. Requirements: Be a college junior, senior or graduate student. Major in Kinesiology, Leisure Science, Physical Education, Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Sports Medicine, Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy. Be a resident of the State of Hawaii. Demonstrate financial need. Attend an accredited two or four year college or university. Be a full-time student. Maintain a minimum 2.7 GPA.

Regeneron Science Talent Search

Regeneron STS is the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science research competition for high school students. Started in 1942 as the Westinghouse Science Talent Search, Regeneron STS recognizes and empowers our nation’s most promising young scientists who are developing ideas that could solve society’s most urgent challenges. Each year, nearly 2,000 students enter the Regeneron STS, submitting original research in critically important scientific fields of study. Unique among high school competitions, the Regeneron STS focuses on identifying, inspiring, and engaging the nation’s most promising future leaders in STEM. Eligibility: High school seniors living in the United States, and US citizens living abroad, who have completed independent research projects are encouraged to apply online for the chance to win up to $250,000! Save a Life Scholarship

Learning CPR and basic first aid are ways any one of us could potentially save a life. The educators and healthcare professionals of tomorrow take this mission even further by pursuing careers dedicated to the advancement of health and wellness. That is why The American Academy of CPR and First Aid is proud to sponsor the “Save a Life” Scholarship, offered exclusively to students majoring in the healthcare and education fields. We know that caregiving and teaching can both be challenging but incredibly rewarding professions. That’s precisely why we made this commitment to further the education and career development of future doctors, nurses, technicians, professors, and teachers of all areas of specialization with this scholarship. We want to help with your education.

NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship Programs

The NCAA awards up to 174 postgraduate scholarships annually, 87 for men and 87 for women. The scholarships are awarded to student-athletes who excel academically and athletically and who are at least in their final year of intercollegiate athletics competition. The one-time grants of $7,500 each are awarded for fall sports, winter sports and spring sports. Each sports season (fall, winter and spring), there are 29 scholarships available for men and 29 scholarships available for women. The scholarships are one-time, non-renewable grants. OVERVIEW OF NOMINATION PROCESS The NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship nomination is to be submitted by the faculty athletics representative (FAR) or by a FAR designee. It is the responsibility of the FAR or FAR designee to ensure all sections of the nomination are submitted to the NCAA national office not later than the sport season deadlines. FARs or FAR designees must nominate qualified student-athletes using the Postgraduate Scholarship Online Submission System. In total, there are five sections to be completed. Additionally, FARs must ensure that the nominee’s transcripts are sent to the NCAA national office. Emails will be sent from the online system to the student-athlete and three individuals for recommendations. The emails are generated after the FAR submits his or her nomination section. Nomination Sections 1. FAR nomination- includes a formal recommendation for the nominee. 2. Student-athlete section- to be completed by the nominee, which includes a formal personal statement. 3. Head coach recommendation. 4. Athletics administrator recommendation. 5. Professor recommendation. Please check the website for more information.

Nurse.org Healthcare Leaders Scholarship

Nurse.org Healthcare Leaders Scholarship Annual Application Deadline: January 29 Eligibility: Applicants must be 17 or over with a 3.0+ GPA, and enrolled or accepted to a nursing or healthcare-related program. Both graduate and undergraduate students welcome to apply. Must submit a 600-1000 word essay. Healthcare Leaders Scholarship

IMPORTANT DATES Applications Accepted: February 10, 2017 - January 29, 2018 Final Award Selection: March 15, 2018 Scholarship Awarded: Spring Quarter 2018 REQUIREMENTS The Healthcare Leaders Scholarship is offered to students entering or currently pursuing an educational program related to nursing or medicine. Applicant must be a US citizen, at least 17 years of age, and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. All applicants must submit a 600 to 1,000-word essay explaining what they hope to accomplish during their career in the medical field and how the scholarship would fulfill those goals. Recommended topics are included in the Personal Essay section. All applications must be received by January 29th, 2018. Finalists will be notified in February and must provide proof of enrollment and GPA (letters of acceptance, transcripts, etc.) before the scholarship recipient is selected. SELECTION Applications will be reviewed by a panel. The winner will be selected based on the criteria set forth in the requirements section of this document. Once the winner is decided and notified of the award, he/she will receive a mailed 1099-MISC tax form and the check will be delivered to their address. The winner of the scholarship award will be fully responsible for the taxes incurred from receiving the award.

Amaze Yourself Scholarship

You may be looking to enroll or already enrolled in this secondary educational program. • You must be willing to work with Landau’s Scholarship Management team throughout the application and award process.

EAAT Hippotherapy Scholarship

$10,000 two-year scholarship Ideal candidates are a current member of AQHA pursuing a career in the field of hippotherapy through physical therapy, occupational therapy and or speech language pathology. Related college majors may include, but are not limited to, communication disorders, sports and exercise science or kinesiology. Members should apply while enrolled as a sophomore at an accredited university or has been accepted to a related graduate school program. Recipients must maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 grade point average. Funding for this scholarship will be applied to the junior and senior year of a four-year undergraduate degree program or a two-year graduate degree program as specified above.
