REMSA Scholarship

General criteria for all scholarship applicants include having an interest in railway engineering, maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0, and being available for interview by the AREMA Scholarship Committee. Enrolled student who has completed at least one quarter or semester in an accredited four or five year engineering or engineering technology undergraduate degree program.

Wayne E. Russell Memorial Scholarship

General criteria for all scholarship applicants include having an interest in railway engineering, maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0, and being available for interview by the AREMA Scholarship Committee. Enrolled student who has completed at least one quarter or semester in an accredited four or five year engineering or engineering technology undergraduate degree program.

AREMA Presidential Spouse Scholarship

General criteria for all scholarship applicants include having an interest in railway engineering, maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0, and being available for interview by the AREMA Scholarship Committee. Enrolled female student who has completed at least one quarter or semester in an accredited four or five year engineering or engineering technology undergraduate degree program.

Charles L. Stanford Family Ohio State University Railway Engineering Scholarship

General criteria for all scholarship applicants include having an interest in railway engineering, maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0, and being available for interview by the AREMA Scholarship Committee. Undergraduate student at Ohio State University enrolled full time in civil, mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering curriculum, having completed at least one full term.

Committee 4 - Rail Art Worth Memorial Scholarship

General criteria for all scholarship applicants include having an interest in railway engineering, maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0, and being available for interview by the AREMA Scholarship Committee. Enrolled student who has completed at least one quarter or semester in an accredited four or five year engineering or engineering technology undergraduate degree program with priority given to the following disciplines in this order: Metallurgy, Materials Science, Welding, Non-destructive Testing, Railway Engineering.

Committee 5 - Track Scholarship

General criteria for all scholarship applicants include having an interest in railway engineering, maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0, and being available for interview by the AREMA Scholarship Committee. Undergraduate student enrolled full time in an accredited civil, mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering curriculum, having completed at least one year.

Committee 12 Rail Transit Scholarship

General criteria for all scholarship applicants include having an interest in railway engineering, maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0, and being available for interview by the AREMA Scholarship Committee. Enrolled student who has completed at least one quarter or semester in an accredited engineering program OR part time student working full time in the railway industry.

Committee 14 Yards & Terminals Scholarship

General criteria for all scholarship applicants include having an interest in railway engineering, maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0, and being available for interview by the AREMA Scholarship Committee. Sophomores or above pursuing a bachelor’s degree as an engineering major currently (or previously) enrolled in a rail engineering class or conducting railroad engineering research and a member of an AREMA Student Chapter.

Committee 15 - Steel Structures Professor Wallace Sanders Scholarship

General criteria applies for an engineering student in the field of structural engineering pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree. General criteria for all scholarship applicants include having an interest in railway engineering, maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0, and being available for interview by the AREMA Scholarship Committee.

Committee 24 Education & Training Scholarship

General criteria for all scholarship applicants include having an interest in railway engineering, maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0, and being available for interview by the AREMA Scholarship Committee. Current AREMA Student Member who has completed at least one quarter or semester in an accredited four or five year engineering or engineering technology undergraduate degree program.

Union Pacific William E. Wimmer Scholarship

Enrolled student who is in their Sophomore, Junior or Senior academic year located at a U.S. Midwestern, Southwestern or Western University with an accredited engineering curriculum, pursuing a BS or higher degree in Civil Engineering (all disciplines), Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management. General criteria for all scholarship applicants include having an interest in railway engineering, maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0, and being available for interview by the AREMA Scholarship Committee.

Structures Functional Group Member Emeritus Scholarship - In memory of Bill Byers
