Alliance Data Scholarship

Scholarship Value: $5,000 Classifications: Open, Undergraduate Freshman, Undergraduate Sophomore, Undergraduate Junior, Undergraduate Senior Minimum GPA: 3.0 Eligible Majors: Open Eligible Schools: UNCF Member Colleges and Universities Eligible Locations: Texas Scholarship Detail: This scholarship is available to students who are enrolled at one of UNCF institutions and have a financial need. This scholarship is restricted to residents of Dallas Metropolitan Area. Please apply to UNCF General On-line Application. Afterwards, you should e-mail [email protected] of your completion of the application.

AT&T Foundation Scholarship

Scholarship Value: $5,000 Classifications: Undergraduate Junior Minimum GPA: 3.0 Eligible Majors: Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Information Systems, Marketing, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Management, Mechanical Engineering, Management Information Systems Eligible Schools: UNCF Member Colleges and Universities Eligible Locations: Missouri, California, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan, Kansas, Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma Scholarship Detail: AT&T Foundation will award scholarships in the amount of $5,000 to selected recipients within their three service areas: Midwestern Region, Southwestern Region and the state of California.

Chinese Professional Club Scholarship

To qualify, an applicant must be: 1. A student of Chinese descent who is a Houston resident (or whose parents or guardian resides in the greater Houston metropolitan area) and is currently enrolled in an accredited high school or secondary school with plans to graduate in June AND, 2. The student will, following graduating from high school or secondary school, be enrolled full time in any accredited college, university, or institution of higher learning in the United States. (Note: College and graduate students do not qualify.)

Carter and Burgess Scholarship

Scholarship Value: Based on need Classifications: Open Minimum GPA: 2.5 Eligible Majors: Engineering Eligible Schools: Open Eligible Locations: Texas Scholarship Detail: This scholarship is for students from Ft. Worth, TX. (If there arent enough civil engineering students in Ft. Worth, the scholarship pool may extend to the entire state of Texas and HBCUs.) Donor/Sponsor Name: Carter and Burgess, Inc. Casimir, Dominique and Jacques Scholarship

Scholarship Value: $1,500 Classifications: Undergraduate Sophomore, Undergraduate Junior Minimum GPA: 2.5 Eligible Majors: Open Eligible Schools: Open Eligible Locations: Texas Scholarship Detail: This scholarship is available for two male and female sophomore or juniors from the state of Texas. Lay, Kenneth & Linda Scholarship

George Foreman Tribute to Lyndon B. Johnson Scholarship

George Foreman is a boxing champion, Olympic gold medal winner and celebrated pitchman. As a young man, he was inspired by President Lyndon Johnson and by RTDNF founder Barney Oldfield. In his autobiography "By George," Foreman credits LBJ's Job Corps program for rescuing him "from the gutter." He also thanks Barney Oldfield "for a lifetime of friendship, devotion, counsel, and wisdom. The world would be a far better place if everyone were lucky enough to have a friend like you." The George Foreman Tribute to Lyndon Baines Johnson scholarship is a $6,000 award given to a journalism student from the University of Texas at Austin. GEORGE FOREMAN TRIBUTE TO LBJ SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANT CRITERIA: Must be officially enrolled in college and have at least one full academic year remaining. Must be a fully enrolled college sophomore or higher to receive scholarship. Must apply for only one scholarship. May be enrolled in any major so long as your intent is a career in electronic journalism.

HSF/ Procter & Gamble Company Scholarship

The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) and Procter & Gamble Company have partnered to provide financial resources to assist outstanding Latino undergraduates pursuing degrees in the STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). The award amount is $2,500. Eligibility Requirements: * Be of Hispanic heritage * Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired) * Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale * Must major in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) field * Must currently reside in one of the following locations: o Chicago, IL o Dallas, TX o Georgia o Houston, TX o Indiana o Kentucky o McAllen, TX o Miami, FL o New York o North Carolina o Ohio o San Antonio, TX o Los Angeles metropolitan area * Have plans to enroll FULL-TIME in a degree seeking program at a U.S. accredited institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands or Guam * Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

The Barbara Levy Calick Scholarship Fund

Established by Hilma B. Levy and Walter J. Levy in loving memory of their daughter, Barbara Kay Levy Calick, for the purpose of providing scholarships to assist with the costs of technical or trade training. Funds may also be used to aid with the costs of higher education at the undergraduate or graduate level. There is no minimum academic grade point average or test score required. Scholarship awards will be based on a combination of financial need, academic merit, proven leadership qualities and community involvement. Jewish and non-Jewish candidates are eligible to apply for this scholarship. One scholarship of $580.00 will be awarded. Areas of involvement: Cultural/religious studies,camps, trips, retreats and organizations. Community/civic activities. School related activities Hours enrolled/semester: 12/undergraduate, 9/graduate Giving primarily to Texas.

The Frank Gilford Scholarship

Established in memory of Frank Gilford. One scholarship is available for qualifying students who wish to pursue an education in Jewish studies either locally, elsewhere in the United States or in Israel. Financial need and academic merit will be considered. Education level: Jewish undergraduate and graduate students GPA: 3.0 Undergraduate Test Scores: SAT1000 or ACT24 Graduate Test Scores: GRE v540 q640 a600 or GMAT v32 q35 or equivalent Areas of involvement: Jewish studies, camps, trips, retreats and organizations. Community/civic activities. School-related activities. Hours enrolled/semester: 12/undergraduate, 9/graduate. Giving primarily to Texas.

The Joe Goldstein Memorial Scholarship in Fashion and Retailing

Established by the family of the late Joe Goldstein in his memory. Preference is given to third and fourth-year undergraduate students who are majoring in fashion merchandising and retailing at accredited colleges. Both financial need and academic merit are considered. One $1,200.00 scholarship will be awarded. Jewish and non-Jewish students are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Education level: 3rd and 4th year undergraduate students GPA: 3.0 Test Scores: SAT1000 or ACT24 Area of study: Fashion Merchandising and Retailing Areas of involvement: Cultural/religious studies, camps, trips, retreats and organizations. Community/civic activities. School-related activities. Giving primarily in Texas.

The Annette Golman Jayson and Frances Goodman Golman Scholarship

Established by Dr. Hal Jayson in loving honor of his mother Annette Golman Jayson, and his aunt, Frances Goodman Golman who are both living lives dedicated to Judaism. Scholarships will be provided for Jewish undergraduates and graduate students to participate in an organized course of academic study in Israel. There is no minimum academic grade point average or test score required. Academic merit (20%), financial need (60%) and community involvement (20%) will be considered. One scholarship of $1,000.00 will be awarded. Education level: Jewish Undergraduate and Graduate students Areas of involvement: Jewish studies, camps, trips, retreats and organizations Community/civic activities School-related activities Hours enrolled/semester: 12/undergraduate, 9/graduate Giving primarily in Texas.
