John & Ann Clifton Scholarship Fund
Description:This scholarship is part of the Hawai‘i Community Foundation's Vocational Education Scholarship Program. Vocational Education describes certification or degree programs designed to teach students skills for a specific segment of employment. Programs include culinary arts, auto repair, diesel mechanics, cosmetology, computer graphics and assistive medical technology. Requirements:For students enrolled in vocational education programs in the UH Community College system.
Joseph & Alice Duarte Memorial Fund
Requirements: Be from the North or South Kona districts of the island of Hawai‘i. Preference given to graduates of Holualoa Elementary School. Extra Data RequiredPreference give to graduates of Holualoa Elementary School. If you are a graduate, please indicate year of graduation.
Juliette M. Atherton Scholarship - Seminary Studies
Description:The Board of Directors of the Atherton Family Foundation sets aside a portion of the Foundation's income each year to be used for scholarships. These scholarships perpetuate Mrs. Atherton's interest in sustaining Protestant Christian endeavors in Hawai‘i. Requirements:Attend an accredited graduate school of theology with the goal of being ordained in an established Protestant denomination.
Kahala Nui Residents Scholarship Fund
Requirements: Be an employee or a dependent of an employee of Kahala Senior Living Community, Inc. for at least 6 months. Attend an accredited 2 or 4 year not-for-profit college or university in Hawaii.
Kahala Nui Residents Scholarship Fund - Vocational Education
Requirements: Be a current employee or a dependent of an employee of Kahala Senior Living Community, Inc. for at least 6 months. Attend an accredited vocational education program in Hawaii.
Kaneta Foundation Scholarship Renewals
Requirements: Be a previous recipient of the Kaneta Foundation Scholarship. If you were not a Kaneta Scholarship recipient in a previous year, you are not eligible to apply for this scholarship. Please submit a short 1 to 2 page progress report / personal statement and an official grade transcript. Unless you are applying to other scholarships, you do not need to submit a Student Aid Report (SAR).
Kaneta Foundation Vocational Education Scholarship
Requirements:Be a student in the Culinary Arts program within the UH Community College system.
Kawasaki-McGaha Scholarship Fund
Requirements: Attend Hawai‘i Pacific University pursuing an undergraduate degree. Major in Computer Studies or International Studies.
Ka‘a‘awa Community Fund
Requirements: Be a resident of the Ka‘a‘awa area on Windward O‘ahu. Preference given to long time residents of Ka‘a‘awa.
Ka‘iulani Home For Girls Trust Scholarship
Description:The Ka‘iulani Home for Girls originally provided housing for young women of Hawaiian ancestry. Kamehameha Schools used the building from 1950 to 1962 to board female students attending the schools. When the home became so old it could not be repaired, it was demolished and the property sold. The Ka‘iulani Home for Girls Trust was established in 1963 and it continues the original mission of supporting Hawaiian females. Requirements: Be of Hawaiian ancestry (first time applicants must submit a copy of their birth certificates to verify ancestry). Be a female. Be a college freshman or sophomore (past recipients who will be juniors or seniors are also eligible to apply). Minimum GPA 3.0. Supplemental Materials Required:Submit a copy of your birth certificate to verify Hawaiian ancestry if you are a first time applicant.
Laheenae Rebecca Hart Gay Scholarship
Requirements: Major in Art. This scholarship is not for students studying video, film, performing arts or the culinary arts.
Laura Jean Armstrong Scholarship
Description:This scholarship was created in memory of Dr. Laura Jean Armstrong, a nurse extraordinaire. Beginning her professional career as a registered nurse in private practice, Dr. Armstrong joined the Hawai‘i State Deptartment of Health in 1968. As a public servant, she passionately worked to improve the health and welfare of the underserved until her untimely death. Requirements:Be a graduate student majoring in Nursing.
