Healthline Stronger Scholarship

Healthline is teaming up with The Nature Conservancy to award four $5,000 scholarships to students who are committed to making a difference at the intersection of health and climate change through their studies, extracurriculars, and career goals. Read below to see if you qualify and apply for the 2022 Healthline Stronger Scholarship by Earth Day, April 22.

Mary B. Rhodes Scholarship

Awarded to children of international missionaries who are medical students and plan to go into international missions. Those majoring in nursing, dentistry, or pharmacy will also be considered. Application Deadline March 1 / Awarded in June Criteria for All Scholarship Applicants: Our primary mission focus is to assist Baptist students and/or entities, with activities that further the cause of Christ around the world. To be eligible for an MK scholarship, applicants must show that their parents are affiliated with a Southern Baptist-related entity.

The Helen N. & Harold B. Shapira Heart Undergraduate Scholarship

The Purpose: To stimulate interest in the study of heart and blood vessel diseases. The Scholarship: Every year one $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate. The successful candidate will be eligible for a renewal of the $1,000 award for a second year provided they maintain satisfactory scholastic progress. Renewals will be considered in conjunctions with all new applications Who Is Eligible: Minnesota Students Only: Undergraduate students currently enrolled in a four year college or university in the State of Minnesota and working in a medically related curriculum with potential application to patients with diseases of the heart and blood vessel system are eligible. Students can receive no more than two undergraduate scholarships from the American Heart Association. How the Scholars Are Selected: Scholars will be chosen on merit by an American Heart Association, Midwest Affiliate Committee of medical and/or scientific professionals. How Candidates Apply: Candidates must submit the appropriate form and complete all requirements. Applications must be fully completed to receive consideration. ILLINOIS AMVETS SAD SACKS NURSING SCHOLARSHIPS

ONE-YEAR SCHOLARSHIPS - AMOUNT VARIES YEARLY To be eligible for this scholarship the applicant must: Be an Illinois High School Senior who has been accepted into a pre-approved nursing program (A copy of an acceptance letter must accompany the application.) or may already be a student in an approved School of Nursing in the State of Illinois. Prove satisfactory in academic record, character, interest and activity record, and financial need. Priority will be given to the dependent of a deceased or disabled Veteran.

Jerry M. Speed Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility 
• Students from the 26 northernmost counties of the Texas Panhandle
 • Exhibit financial need
 • Maintain a 2.5 or better cumulative GPA while in college
 • Major in field of choice with preference given to those majoring in the service industry, especially mortuary science and health 
 • Must attend Amarillo College or West Texas A&M University Application
 • AAF General Scholarship Application Award Selection 
• Amarillo Area Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee Scholarship Amount
 • Varies
 • Renewable award pending committee review of renewal application The annual application deadline is generally mid-February each year. 

STEM Scholarships

The NSHSS Foundation provides STEM scholarships for underrepresented groups in order to help reduce financial barriers for those with academic and leadership potential and the desire to pursue STEM careers. We recognize that in order to increase diversity in the technology workforce, we must increase diversity in undergraduates. The Foundation awards scholarships to applicants who are pursuing a degree in, or closely related to, one of the following STEM disciplines: Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering Biosciences/Pre-med/health-related fields Chemical Engineering Chemistry Civil Engineering Cognitive, Neural, and Behavioral Sciences Computer and Computational Sciences, including Statistics and Accounting Electrical Engineering Geosciences Information Sciences Materials Science and Engineering Mathematics Mechanical Engineering Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering Nuclear Engineering Oceanography Operations Research Physics Teaching in STEM areas
