Hirsch & Lyon Accident Law College Scholarship

Hirsch & Lyon Accident Law is an Arizona law firm that advocates for individuals and families who have been injured in all types of accidents. The firm has 60 years of combined experience in personal injury matters and strives to make the legal process for all clients as smooth as possible. We understand how difficult it can be to pay for college and the financial burden it can bring. Hirsch & Lyon offers this legal scholarship every year to provide financial assistance to students taking the leap into a legal career. High school seniors or current college students pursuing law within the U.S. are eligible to apply. We select a winner annually to receive $500 to go toward their education.

The J.L. Weigand, Jr. Notre Dame Legal Education Trust scholarship

The Weigand Trust awards the nation's largest legal scholarships, which include: * full tuition * full fees * books * generous room and board allowanceStudents must be legal residents of the State of Kansas for a minimum of ten (10) years prior to entering law school. **Students must have taken the LSAT, and have applied to at least one of the following schools: * University of Notre Dame Law School * Washburn University School of Law * University of Kansas School of Law** Note: Residency eligibility requires ten cumulative years of legal Kansas residence. The ten years do not have to be consecutive, nor the most recent ten years.Applicants must be able to provide proof of residency upon request.

Political Leadership Scholarship

For students studying law, political science, public policy or public administration with the goal of improving rights for LGBT people.

Janet L. Hoffman Loan Assistance Repayment Program (LARP)

Who may apply: Maryland residents who provide public service in Maryland State or local government or nonprofit agencies in Maryland to low income or underserved residents.How to apply: Complete and file a LARP General application. Third-year law students must file a Pre-Graduation Law Application and LARP General application.When to apply: LARP General applications become available in June. The application deadline is September 30. Pre-Graduation Law Applications become available in September of your third year of law school. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTSYou must have earned a degree from a college in Maryland, or from any law school, or a resident teacher certificate from the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE). You must be employed full-time (35+ hours per week) in state or local government or in a nonprofit organization in Maryland. Your employer must help low income, underserved residents or underserved areas in the state. You must have educational loans from a university, government, or commercial source that you used to pay college expenses. You may not be in default on a loan. Your annual gross salary cannot exceed $60,000. If married, your annual gross salary cannot exceed $60,000, and your combined salaries cannot exceed $130,000. If employed as a nurse faculty member, your annual gross salary cannot exceed $75,000. If married, your annual gross salary cannot exceed $75,000, and your combined salaries cannot exceed $160,000. This is a service-based program. Prior service obligations from other State of Maryland scholarships must be completed by July 1. One position cannot fulfill two service obligations simultaneously.PRE-GRADUATION LAW STUDENT REQUIREMENTSYou must be a law student attending University of Maryland, Baltimore or University of Baltimore and in your third and final year of school. You must submit a Pre-Graduation Law Application before graduation in May, together with verification of an employment offer. You must submit a LARP General application by September 30 and meet all eligibility requirements listed above.

J.L. Weigand, Jr. Notre Dame Legal Education Trust - Private Scholarships for Kansas Residents

Application Requirements/Description:The J.L. Weigand, Jr. Notre Dame Legal Education Trust has been established to provide assistance to students from the state of Kansas. The scholarships provide for tuition, room and board for selected students who have been legal residents of Kansas for ten (10) years prior to their admission.The scholarships will be awarded without regard to means, race, religion, or gender to selected full-time students attending the University of Notre Dame Law School. If there are not enough qualifying candidates, scholarships may be provided to students attending a qualifying law school in Kansas, or a University of Notre Dame undergraduate program, provided the students have resided in Kansas for at least ten (10) years prior to admission. (Proof of residence is required.)

MALDEF Law School Scholarship Program

MALDEF’s Law School Scholarship Program provides several scholarships in varying amounts to deserving law students with a commitment to advancing the civil rights of Latinos. MALDEF’s Law School Scholarship Program is open to all law students who will be enrolled full-time in an American-accredited law school.Scholarships are awarded to students based on their commitment to serve the Latino community through law; their past achievement and potential for achievement; and their financial need.

The Herbert Lehman Education Fund Scholarships

The Herbert Lehman Scholarship is a national scholarship program that makes annual awards to qualified, outstanding undergraduate and law students. The scholarship was established in 1963 and is named after the former Governor and United States Senator from New York State. LDF chose to honor Senator Lehman in recognition of his integrity, persistence, and valor on behalf of numerous civil rights causes.Today, the Lehman Scholarships are awarded to students of outstanding character who are entering college for the first time and who will be attending an accredited four-year college or university as a full-time student.ELIGIBILITYLehman Scholarship candidates must be of excellent character and be able to present strong academic records, test scores, and personal essays. A candidate must have a demonstrable record of community and school involvement that reveals exceptional leadership potential with a capacity to work well in diverse settings. Moreover, s/he must provide strong recommendations from teachers, community representatives, or employers.

Earl Warren Scholarships

The Earl Warren Scholarship is named for the Honorable Earl Warren, the 14th Chief Justice of the United States and former Governor of California whose stewardship of the Warren Court helped end school segregation and transform America’s legal landscape. In honor of his memory, the Earl Warren Scholarship is awarded annually to ten law students whose commitment to social justice reveals outstanding potential for training as civil rights and public interest attorneys. Preference is generally given to law students entering their first year of full-time legal study at an accredited law school.ELIGIBILITYWarren Scholarships are awarded to candidates with exceptional academic records who are dedicated to civil rights and public interest work. Applicants for Warren Scholarships must be able to demonstrate a history of outstanding community service, and a well-defined interest in civil rights through their academic records, test scores and personal essays.Warren Scholarship recipients must be of excellent character and must have a verifiable record of community and school involvement that reveals a clear capacity to work well in diverse settings. Moreover, s/he must provide strong recommendations from teachers, community representatives, or employers.

Arthur Lockwood Beneventi Law Scholarship

The Arthur Lockwood Beneventi Law Scholarship is a one-time preferred amount $2,000 scholarship awarded to a student who is either enrolled in or attends an accredited law school and has a minimum GPA of 3.25. The scholarship is not automatically renewable; however, recipients may reapply for consideration each year.

Fox Valley Association for Legal Professionals Scholarship

Judge and Mrs. Wilbur Hurlbut Scholarship

Special Qualifications: • Applicant must be pursing a degree in medicine, law or science.Not renewable.
