The Anthony Quinn Foundation

About the Anthony Quinn Scholarship Program Organized as a vehicle to perpetuate Anthony Quinn’s vision for an art conscious society, the Anthony Quinn Foundation Scholarship Program raises and distributes funds for arts education. The Scholarship Program focuses on the Visual Arts & Design, Performing Arts, Media Arts, and Literary Arts for young adults in high school. Scholarship recipients can apply Foundation funds to any recognized pre-college, summer or after-school arts education program. Funds awarded will be sent directly to the pre-college, summer or after-school arts education program designated by the student. The Anthony Quinn Foundation Scholarship cannot be used for secondary school or college tuition. Criteria The Scholarship Program is for young adults in high school who demonstrate exceptional talent and dedication with a strong commitment to personal artistic growth and who will benefit verifiably from financial support. The Foundation makes an effort to distribute the funds evenly across the fields of focus: Visual Arts & Design, Performing Arts, Media Arts, and Literary Arts. Scholarships are awarded competitively. Applications will be reviewed by a panel of judges in order to select scholarship recipients. Judges are practicing artists, arts educators, and experts in the various fields of focus, completely independent from the Foundation’s Board/staff, and geographically dispersed throughout the United States. Additional information may be sought directly from the applicant. How to apply for funding The Anthony Quinn Scholarship Program and is for young adults in high school for use towards a recognized pre-college, summer or after-school arts education program which emphasizes study in the following areas: Visual Arts & Design Performing Arts Media Arts Literary Arts Scholarships range from $1,000 to $3,000. The applicant and the nominator (a teacher, advisor, or other adult outside the applicant’s family) will work on the application together and will provide by the deadline a completed Application Form. To nominate a student, please fill out an Application Form.

Nice Student Scholarship Competition-Ceramics

Description:Established to recognize and reward outstanding essays written by students majoring in ceramics or materials in college. Eligibility:Entrants must be U.S. citizens enrolled in an ABET-accredited program in ceramics or materials. The students must be continuing in school in the following years as undergraduates. They are invited to submit an essay. The essay topic changes annually but relates to ceramics or materials. In addition, entrants must submit at least two letters of recommendation.

The Whitaker Foundation Scholarship Fund

The Frederic Whitaker and Eileen Monaghan Whitaker Foundation (The Whitaker Foundation) is proud announce the Fall 2018 round of its nationwide Art Scholarship Program, The Whitaker Foundation Scholarship Fund. The Foundation intends to support art students with a special emphasis on watercolor and museum studies/art history and to help them meet the diverse needs of today's professional art and museum world. Through the application process facilitated by The Whitaker Foundation, students are required to gain knowledge of the Whitakers' works through their submitted essays or watercolor paintings. Once the students' works/essays are evaluated, winners will be selected, and the scholarships will be awarded for Fall semester of 2018. 3 Scholarships are being offered: · Two (2) $2,000 Bachelor of Fine Art scholarships (or BA majoring in Art/Art History) · One (1) $2,000 Bachelor of Museum Studies scholarships (or BA with Museum Major/Art History) ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: 1. Must be an undergraduate student at a national accredited degree granting institution working towards a Bachelors degree in Fine Art, Art History, or Museum Studies 2. Must be a student in good academic standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA 3. Must be an American Citizen (with an American passport) or a legal resident (with a green card) of the United States. Scholarship winners will be asked to submit their social security numbers. 4. Must be 18 years or older at the time of entry. APPLICANTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT AN OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT SHOULD THEY BE SELECTED FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP. ALL BACHELOR OF FINE ART APPLICANTS MUST SUBMIT IMAGES OF TWO ORIGINAL WATERCOLOR PAINTINGS. ALL WATERCOLOR PAINTINGS MUST BE PAINTED AFTER JANUARY 1ST 2017. ALL ART HISTORY AND ALL MUSEUM STUDIES APPLICANTS MUST SUBMIT AN ESSAY.

Stuart Walston, Inc. Scholarship Endowment (For Barton College)

Full time students at Barton College maintaining a minimum GPA average of 2.50. First preference is given to student majoring in Art.

Imagine America High School Scholarship

The Imagine America Foundation created its Imagine America High School Scholarship Program in 1998 to help provide scholarships for high school students. This annual scholarship program has helped thousands of high school seniors afford a career education at hundreds of career schools across the United States. Each year, every high school in the United States and Puerto Rico may nominate up to five graduating seniors to receive a $1,000 Imagine America scholarship!

The Douglass Foundation Fellowship in American Art

Awarded in honor of John K. Howat to a promising young scholar for one year's study or research in the American Wing (in either the Department of American Paintings and Sculpture or the Department of American Decorative Arts) on an aspect of the Museum's collection. Applicants should have been enrolled for at least one year in an advanced degree program in the field of American art or culture.

A $500 tuition scholarship will be awarded once a year to the winning submission.

Occupational/Physical Therapy Scholarship

The Occupational/Physical Therapy Scholarship is awarded to students who are in financial need and have been accepted or are attending an accredited school of occupational therapy (including art, music, or physical therapy).

Bruce T. and Jackie Mahi Erickson Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements:  Pursuing studies in the creation of crafts, art and photography and/or independent research relating to historical Hawaiian crafts and arts  Demonstrate financial need  Submit three letters of recommendation; two from a teacher, counselor or other knowledgeable person in Hawaiian arts, crafts, and photography and one from an unrelated person that can vouch for applicant’s character and the likelihood of completing course of study  Student Aid Report (SAR) from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Applications are open to the general public. However, it is the policy of the Pauahi Foundation to give preference to applicants of Hawaiian ancestry to the extent permitted by law.

Chicago Musical Arts Club Scholarship

Description: The Chicago Musical Arts Club Fund provides a scholarship each year to a student or students nominated in alternating years by the Merit Music School and the Chicago Academy for the Arts. Eligibility: Students at Merit Music School or the Chicago Academy for the Arts.

Anita Bradford Art Scholarship

Established by Shannon Bradford to provide scholarships to students pursuing further education in art studies.

Frost Family Scholarship

The Frost Award was established by Mark and Lynn Frost. Mr. Frost is the author of “The Greatest Game Ever Played” and alsowrote the screenplay for and co-produced the movie that was released by Disney Studios in 2005. The Frost Award is for Ouimet Scholars who are studying art, dance, theatre, film or related studies. To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must have completed at least two years service to golf as caddies, helpers in the pro shop, or course superintendent operations at a club in Massachusetts. The awards are "need-based" and assist with tuition at accredited undergraduate institutions.
