MSU College of Arts and Architecture Scholarships

Scholarship Description

Montana State University’s College of Arts and Architecture is offering a new scholarship for Native American students wishing to study art, architecture, film photography or music.

Offered by the Dean’s Office of the MSU College of Arts and Architecture, the $2,500 scholarship is available to incoming or transfer students who will be full-time students for the next school year. Students must declare a major offered by one of the four schools housed in the college. Those schools include the School of Art, School of Architecture, School of Film and Photography and the School of Music.

“This scholarship is an important step in our college’s commitment to expand opportunities for Native American students to pursue an education in the arts,” said Nancy Cornwell, dean of the MSU College of Arts and Architecture.

Applicants must have a 3.0 grade point average and be a Native American tribal member (or proof of descent) / Alaska Native tribal member (or proof of descent).

Applicants are asked to submit an essay of approximately 500 words that addresses why he or she is interested in pursuing a degree in the College of Arts and Architecture. A copy of a transcript with cumulative GPA must be included with the application.
