Accounting Scholarships

Here are some of the Accounting scholarships on our site for which you may qualify.

Minbanc Foundation Scholarship Program

Scholarship Criteria: * A maximum of $3,000 in scholarships can be awarded per bank, per calendar year. * Scholarships are offered as tuition reimbursement. Travel and any expenses (hotel, meals, etc.) related to attending the course(s) are not eligible for reimbursement. * Scholarships are awarded to employees at the management or officer level. * Scholarship requests are viewed and approved on a quarterly basis. * Scholarship requests are accepted on a rolling basis, but must be submitted for coursework completed within the last (90) days.In accordance with Minbanc bylaws, scholarships are awarded only for banking-related courses. Courses must be relevant to the management of a financial institution or address current banking-industry issues, etc. General management courses or courses related to an individual’s continuation of a college or university degree program do not qualify for a Minbanc scholarship.

CPA Scholarship 2022

Neumeister & Associates, LLP is pleased to announce the 2022 Scholarship of $1000 for one student in the United States. We will be giving away a $1000 scholarship to a grand prize-winning essay from one select student. We are accepting essays from students in the United States that demonstrate leadership skills and integrity by detailing one time they stepped up as a leader and what impact that experience had on their decision-making skills overall. Submissions will be evaluated based on the originality and impact of their stories are encouraged to demonstrate their business acumen and originality. The deadline will be for December 9, 2022. Entrants should also submit a 90-second+ video detailing their accomplishments and interests along with their essay.

The New York Life Excellence Award

In continuous effort to recognize high achievers, NSCS is proud to present "The New York Life Excellence Award." This award is made possible by New York Life and will provide five (5) NSCS members with majors in or plans to pursue a career in insurance/financial service related fields with a scholarship of $1,000 each.Eligibility * Must have a 3.4 G.P.A. * Must be attending an accredited University. * Must be active NSCS member * Must create a profile on www.koda.us/nscs. Your Koda Profile must be at least 80% completed. (This is indicated on the koda.us website). * Students must be majoring/or plan to pursue insurance/financial services related fields. * Please note, all scholarships funds will be disbursed directly to the school.

Washington CPA Foundation Accounting Scholarship

The Washington CPA Foundation is excited to be able to offer over $500,000 in scholarships for students in Washington State. This year we have an opportunity to help students on the path to pursue their dream of being a CPA. If you are a rising junior or higher for the 2024-2025 academic year, have a 3.0 GPA and above (or equivalent), attend an accredited college or university in Washington State, and want to be a CPA – please apply! 5th year seniors, master’s, and PhD candidates as well as community college transfers are encouraged to apply.

Matt Fong Asian Americans in Public Finance Scholarship

Background: Number of awards: 2 Amount: $1,500 Renewable? No Established in memory of Matt Fong, former California state treasurer Eligibility Criteria: Grade level: Incoming sophomore, junior or senior at a four-year college or university Must be enrolled in California college or university Major: Accounting, political science, public policy, business administration or related fields Ethnic heritage: Asian (at least 50%) Minimum GPA: 3.0 Financial need Preference given to those with record of community service or volunteer work

HSF/GE Hispanic Forum Scholarship Program

Eligibility Requirements: Be of Hispanic heritage Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired) or be granted Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Must intend to enroll as an undergraduate Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior or 5th Year Senior in the next academic year and be pursuing first undergraduate degree Must major in one of the following: Accounting, Aeronautics/Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, Biochemistry, Bioengineering/Biotechnology, Biology, Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computational Biology/Bioinformatics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybernetics/Robotics, Economics, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Finance, Industrial Engineering/Technology, Information Technology (IT/MIS), International Business, Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Marketing, Materials Science/Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics, Mechanical Engineering, Neuroscience, Nuclear Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Physics, Science, Supply Chain Management, Telecommunications Have plans to enroll FULL-TIME at a four-year U.S. accredited college or university in the geographic locations listed above. Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). DACA applicants must submit household income information. Will be invited to be mentored by a GE Hispanic Forum member and enrolled into a career readiness program Please check website for deadline of application.

HSF/Marathon Oil Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements: Be of Hispanic American, African American, Asian Pacific Islander American, or American Indian/Alaskan Native heritage. Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired) Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale. Be a current Sophomore majoring in one of the following: Accounting Chemical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science Electrical Engineering Environmental Engineering Geology/Geosciences Information Technology (IT/MIS) Mechanical Engineering Petroleum Engineering - OR - Be a current Senior planning to enroll in a Master's degree program majoring in one of the following: Geology/Geosciences Petroleum Engineering Must submit a resume with your application Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Abercrombie & Fitch Future Leaders Scholarship

Amount: $1,000 Criteria: •Sophomore, junior, or senior college and/or university classification by Fall •Open to Business majors •Have and maintain a 3.0 GPA or above based on a 4.0 scale. •Provide one letter of recommendation from an educator familiar with your academic career. •Must be U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. •Provide a resume of your community service activities. •Must Maintain full-time enrollment status (12 hours if applicable) for the duration of the scholarship. •Must be able to provide a color head shot of yourself for this scholarship application. •Scholar must attend Adelante's Annual Leadership Institute in San Antonio, TX on Oct. 19-21 (Sponsorship to attend is included along with the scholarship)

MillerCoors National Scholarship

Amount: $ 3,000 /Renewable Criteria •Junior or Senior university classification by the Fall Semester •Open to Business majors including : Accounting, Communications, General Business, Economics, Finance, International Business, Marketing, Public Relations or Sales majors •Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident •Must be of Hispanic descent •Must have a 3.0 GPA or above on a 4.0 scale •Maintain full-time enrollment status (12 hours) for the duration of the scholarship period •Provide two letters of recommendation highlighting leadership potential •Scholar must attend ¡Adelante!'s Annual Leadership Institute in San Antonio, TX (Sponsorship to attend is included along with the scholarship) •Must attend a Partnering University

Dakota Corps Scholarship

The Dakota Corps scholarships are four-year, full-tuition-and-fee scholarships for South Dakota high school seniors who plan to major in and then become employed in one of the following critical-need occupations: special education, math education, science education, career and technical education, accountant/auditor, nursing, engineering (except mining), and information technology. Students must have a composite ACT score of 24 or greater and have graduated from an accredited South Dakota high school with a GPA of 2.8 or greater on a 4.0 scale. In addition, recipients must agree to stay in South Dakota and work in their critical need occupation for as many years as the scholarship was received plus one year. Applications are available from your high school guidance counselor or at the website.

South Dakota Association of Environmental Professionals Scholarship

The South Dakota Association of Environmental Professionals (SDAEP) Scholarship Program provides one  or more  scholarships annually to students with directed  studies relating  to the protection and enhancement of our natural resources, the environment, and other similar fields. Who is eligible for the SDAEP Scholarship? · Applicants should desire a career in a trade supportive to the protection and enhancement of our natural resources, environment, and/or related fields. · Students that are  intending  to  enroll  or are  already  enrolled  at  a  South Dakota  university, technical institution, or other post­secondary trade school. Applicants must intend to enroll for the fall semester. · High school seniors are eligible to apply. · Students that possess a Grade Point Average of 2.0 or greater · Part time studies will be considered if applicant can show good cause for other than full ­time studies and  that the  course  of study is directed  toward  a  degree,  certificate  or similar identification of graduation. · Students who have received an SDAEP scholarship in the past are eligible to apply each year. · Children and spouses of Scholarship Committee members are not eligible. What is considered a course of study that wil provide protection and enhancement of our natural resources and the environment? Related  fields include  but are  not limited  to  business administration, accounting, biology, chemistry, trucking, geology, hydrology, engineering, auto mechanics, computer  science, education, heating/ventilation/refrigeration, environmental sciences, engineering  technicians, government administration, agribusiness, energy technology, and more.

South Dakota Solid Waste Management Association Scholarship

Who is eligible for SDSWMA Scholarship? An applicant should desire a career in a trade supportive to the protection and enhancement of our natural resources and environment, the solid waste industry and/or related fields. Applicants must intend to enroll for the fall semester. Preference will be given to South Dakota residents intending to or enrolled at a South Dakota institution of higher learning, vocational school, or other post-secondary trade school. High school seniors are eligible to apply. Part-time studies will be considered if applicant can show good cause for other than full-time studies and that the course of study is directed toward a degree, certificate or similar identification of graduation. Students who have received an SDSWMA scholarship in the past are eligible to apply each year although preference will be given to new applicants. Children and spouses of Scholarship Committee members are not eligible. What is considered a course of study that will provide protection and enhancement of our natural resources and the environment or solid waste Industry? SDSWMA membership consists of a broad range of industries relating to and supporting the proper disposal, reuse, hauling, or recycling of solid waste. Related fields include but are not limited to business administration, accounting, biology, chemistry, trucking, geology, hydrology, engineering, auto mechanics, computer science, heating / ventilation / refrigeration, environmental sciences, engineering technicians, government administration, agribusiness, education, biohazard, energy technology, and more.
