SelectSpace Scholarship

Selectspace scholarship At SelectSpace Partitions, we are proud to offer a scholarship program for students in the process of pursuing a college degree. The awarded student will receive $500 to be used towards expenses for his or her degree. Who may apply? U.S. citizens accepted to or currently attending a college or university within the United States. The winner will be required to provide proof of acceptance to your college or university, or a college transcript. Deadline: Applications must be submitted via the web form by November 30. Next Steps: The award recipient will be notified of the selection on or around December 31. The scholarship award is to be used exclusively for school tuition or related expenses. A check for $500 will be made payable to the award recipient’s college or university. The recipient is expected to submit receipts in accordance with IRS regulations.

CareerFitter’s 16th Annual Scholarship

Our scholarship fund was founded in 2003 and we have awarded 19 winners during this time. We are trusted by universities, career coaches and companies around the world, and have helped hundreds of students find direction in choosing a well-fitting career path. We understand the overwhelming number of career opportunities available to students and how difficult this can be to navigate. CareerFitter has tailored its career assessment tool to examine multiple factors of the person to ensure a range of considerations is made to find an appropriate career. For the 2019 award, we have doubled the value to $1000 to further our support of students and their education. Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to apply. A specific major is not required for this award, but the applicant should have above a 2.4 Grade Point Average.

North Davie Ruritan Community Scholarship

I. PURPOSE The North Davie Ruritan Club realizes the value of an education. The Club is especially interested in a better education for students in the William R. Davie Community. The purpose of this scholarship program is to encourage students from the William R. Davie Community to pursue post secondary education goals. II. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA A. Residence To be eligible for a North Davie Ruritan Scholarship a student must live within the William R. Davie Fire District. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the scholarship committee. B. Scholarship Requirements 1. Applicants must have at least a "C” average to qualify for any of the Ruritan scholarships. 2. Applicants must be accepted by an accredited college or university and must pursue a course of study leading to a two-year associate of a four-year bachelor degree. 3. Recipients must maintain a 2.0 GPA while in college 4. The Scholarship Committee may require the student to submit a grade report at the end of the first semester. C. Character 1. The applicant must be of good moral character. 2. The applicant must submit at least three character references from non-relatives (ministers, teachers, counselors, employers, etc). D. Interview Applicants and/or their parent/s or guardian/s may be asked to participate in an interview with the Scholarship Committee.

NACA South Student Leadership Scholarships

Criteria Applicants must:  Be full-time, matriculated undergraduate students in good standing at the time of the application and during the semester in which the award is received  Demonstrate significant leadership skill and ability  Hold a significant leadership position on campus  Have made significant contributions via volunteer involvement, either on or off-campus; and,  Be enrolled in a college or university within the NACA® South Region. NACA® membership or involvement is not a criterion for selection. Application Process To apply, the following materials must be received in the NACA® Office no later than March 31:  A completed and signed application form  A least two letters of recommendation, which may be attached to the application form or forwarded separately to the NACA® Office. These letters should be from administrators or faculty who are well-acquainted with the applicant as a student leader, and should specify the applicant’s leadership positions, responsibilities, skills and ability, training and accomplishments  A resume or description of the applicant’s leadership activities, skills and ability, training and accomplishments  A verification from the college/university registrar confirming the applicant’s enrollment status

Jarman Family Scholarship

This scholarship was established to help children of full-time religious ministers who are residents of North or South Carolina to achieve an undergraduate or graduate degree. One recipient is chosen per year based on character, academic achievement and need. The deadline for application is March 1st. FUNDS AVAILABLE: The plan for this academic year is to make available one scholarship in the amount of $5,000. However, the maximum amount of a scholarship is limited to actual cost of tuition and student fees. The recipient is eligible to reapply. PROCEDURAL POINTS: a. Applications must be received by the Selection Committee or postmarked on or before March 1st. Late applications will not be accepted. b. In addition to the application, applicants must submit the following: (Students applying to undergraduate school) • Official High School Transcript including SAT or ACT scores and academic ranking • Documentation of financial need (copy of FAFSA or similar documentation) (Students applying to graduate school) • Letter of recommendation from undergraduate professor • Documentation of undergraduate academic record and acceptance at accredited Carolinas school

Max J. Fowler Scholarship

This scholarship is designed to help people of all ages to complete a four year degree who are accepted and enrolled at NC State University in the College of Physical & Mathematical Sciences or Engineering. The applicant must be a resident of Gaston or Cleveland counties. Criteria for selection includes: community service, school performance, class ranking, interest in the arts and financial need.

William & Hazel Hardin Education Scholarship

For rising college Junior and Senior students pursuing a degree in preschool, elementary or secondary education. For residents of Gaston, Randolph or Richmond counties. Based on character, academic achievement, financial need and desire to work with children.

Jim Duyck Memorial Scholarship Fund for Mountain Youth Baseball, Inc.

One non-renewable $2,000 award To qualify for this scholarship, you must be: * a graduating senior of selected Asheville area schools * a current member of the American Legion Baseball/Asheville Post #70 Team General Criteria: * North Carolina residents * Students who will attend accredited US colleges, universities, community colleges, vocational or technical schools, public or private, as full-time students in the fall following the award. In addition, applicants must exhibit: * Financial need * Academic achievement and potential, as indicated by class rank, grade point average (GPA) and/or standardized test scores (SAT or ACT) * A history of active participation in school activities, community service, extracurricular activities and/or work experience * Strong moral character

Rotary Club of Asheville Harry R. Morrill Scholarship

Up to eight non-renewable awards of up to $7,000 each To qualify for this scholarship, you must have: * superior academic achievement/potential and desire to learn * demonstrated leadership qualities * community service/extracurricular activities/work experience * positive personal outlook General Criteria: * North Carolina residents * Financial need * A history of active participation in school activities, community service, extracurricular activities and/or work experience * Strong moral character

Johneen Roth Epstein Scholarship

One non-renewable $500 award To qualify for this scholarship, you must be: * completing your freshman year or beyond at Brevard College * committed to the serious study of vocal music at Brevard College * committed to continuing music in your life and the lives of others beyond college This scholarship has the following special characteristic: * preference for students who have declared or plan to declare a music major General Criteria: * North Carolina residents * Financial need * Academic achievement and potential, as indicated by class rank, grade point average (GPA) and/or standardized test scores (SAT or ACT) * A history of active participation in school activities, community service, extracurricular activities and/or work experience * Strong moral character

J. B. Cornelius Foundation

Scholarship awards to female students attending colleges supported by the Western NC Conference of the United Methodist Church: Brevard College, Duke University, High Point University, Greensboro College, Bennett College, and Pfeiffer University. Application form required. Initial approach: Letter requesting application form

Hartfield, Ostina and Herman Scholarship

Eligible Majors: Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology Eligible Schools: UNCF Member Colleges and Universities (please check the website for the complete list) Eligible Locations: Virginia, New Jersey, North Carolina Scholarship Detail: This scholarship is awarded to a student who exhibits a strong interest in the Biological Science field.
