Governor's Cup Scholarship

The Idaho Governor's Cup Scholarship provides approximately 12 awards to Idaho high school seniors planning to attend an Idaho college or university.The number of awards is conditional on the availability of funds. Awards will be available to scholars pursuing academic and professional-technical education. The $3,000 award is renewable for up to four years for academic scholars, and for the term of the chosen program, up to three years, for professional-technical students.To qualify for the scholarship, a student must meet all of the following criteria: * Be a resident of Idaho * Be a graduating senior of an Idaho high school * Enroll as a full-time student in an academic or technical program at an Idaho college or university (and take the ACT or SAT if enrolling in an academic program) * Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above * High consideration for selection will be based on a demonstrated commitment to public service.Documentation of volunteer work, leadership, and public service is required.

Idaho Minority and 'At Risk'Student Scholarship

The Idaho Legislature established the Minority and "At-Risk" Student Scholarship to assist talented students who are "at-risk" of failing to obtain a college education because of their cultural, economic or physical circumstances. The award is $3000 a year and is renewable for up to four years. To qualify, you must: Be a resident of Idaho and be a graduate of an Idaho high school.In addition, you must meet 3 of the following 5 criteria:-Be a first generation college student-Be disabled-Be a migrant farm worker or the dependent of a migrant farm worker-Have a substantial financial need-Be a member of an ethnic minority historically under-represented in higher education (Native American, Hispanic, or Black Non-Hispanic).

Green Law Firm Nursing Home & Elderly Care

Attorney Bill Green and his team at Green Law Firm are committed to improving the quality of care in nursing homes. With over 26 years of experience serving the community and many years fighting against low standards of elderly care, Bill is dedicated to promoting passionate students who are focused on making care homes a ‘home’ for our senior population. We are pleased to be offering a $1500 nursing scholarship to high-achieving students who are committed to elderly care and pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing. Our hope is to further their professional development and continued competence, allowing them to improve the quality of life for seniors at nursing homes. Applicants will be judged on the content of their application, the essay they provide and on their academic merits. Osteopathic Medical Student Scholarship Program

Eligibility: * Consideration is given to residents of the Pacific Northwest (Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington), and to those who have lived, worked, or attended institutions of higher education in the Pacific Northwest. A commitment to practicing medicine in the Pacific Northwest is important. * Students must be enrolled in an American Osteopathic Association approved school. * Students in their 2nd, 3rd or 4th years of medical school will be eligible to receive scholarships. Applications for these scholarships should be made in students' 1st, 2nd or 3rd years.. * The Foundation anticipates merit scholarship recipients, upon completion of their medical education, will practice in the Pacific Northwest. * Scholarships are credited to the student's medical school business office account. * Selection criteria include prior and current academic work, professional and community involvement, intention to practice in the Pacific Northwest, and recommendations. * Scholarship awards are for one year. Recipients who reapply for a second or third scholarship are evaluated equally with all applicants. Prior recipients have no guarantee of continued support. * There are no restrictions to grant recipients based on race, color, sex, religion, age, physical or mental status, veteran's status, sexual orientation, national origin or any other status protected under applicable local, state or federal law. Students with permanent resident status in the United States are eligible for funding. * No employee, no member of the Board of Directors, and no relative of a current employee or current member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation will be eligible for a merit scholarship. * The Foundation reserves the right to request additional materials, references, letters of support, and such information necessary to evaluate the student's application. * Applications must be postmarked no later than midnight of the application deadline. Applications may be delivered to the Foundation office no later than 4:30 p.m. on the deadline date. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Future Mechanic Grant

Trade School Future is an organization dedicated to helping future mechanics reach their full potential. Our country needs skilled automotive workers and we want to help. Each semester, we’ll be awarding grants of various amounts to students who plan on attending a trade or vocational school with the aim of becoming a mechanic. This scholarship is open to any prospective student in the United States who plans to enroll in a trade or vocational school, 2 or 4 year university, accredited community college or other automotive higher education institution within the next 12 months. The applicant must complete a short essay (500 words or less) detailing why they are pursuing an automotive degree. The applicant must provide a phone number and email address for correspondence about the grant award selection process. The Future Mechanic Grant for the Fall/Winter Semester is a one-time financial gift of $1,000. The grant will be awarded to the applicant who best answers the application criteria, including the short essay. The award funds may be applied to any expenses associated with pursuing an automotive degree or certification. This is a one-time financial gift and does not need to be paid back to Trade School Future.

Drone Technology College Scholarship

The Drone Technology College Scholarship will be awarded to current U.S. college or university undergraduates who demonstrate an interest in pushing the drone industry forward, as demonstrated in an essay of 750-1,000 words. Successful applicants will write thorough, thoughtful essays that dive deeply into the topic, and will have a strong letter of support. Two awards of $1,000 each will be given.

Idaho Governor's Challenge Scholarship

To be eligible for the Idaho Governor's Challenge Scholarship, you must be a graduating Idaho high school senior, a resident of Idaho, have maintained a GPA of 2.8 or better, and must enroll as a full-time student in an undergraduate vocational-technical program in an eligible Idaho post-secondary academic or technical school. High consideration for selection will be based on a commitment to public service.

State of Idaho Scholarship Program

The State of Idaho Scholarship Program was established by Legislature to encourage talented Idaho high school graduates to pursue postsecondary education at an Idaho college or university. It is awarded on the basis of academic merit. To qualify, you must be a U.S. citizen, a resident of Idaho and a graduating senior of an Idaho high school; must take the ACT examination; and must enroll as a full-time student in an academic or technical program at an Idaho college or university. Professional Technical applicants must take the COMPASS.

Rainbow City Band Scholarship

For students pursuing degrees in music or music education. Northwest Residency: Applicants must be a resident of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington but may study elsewhere. Applicants are considered a resident of one of these states if they: currently live within that state and have done so for at least three months prior to the application deadline; or have lived within that state for at least one year at any time within the five years prior to the application deadline; or have lived within that state for more than one year at any time and have been continuously enrolled in an accredited academic institution for the five years prior to the application deadline. LGBTQ Community Involvement: Preference is given to students who are self-identified LGBTQ, members of LGBTQ families, or straight allies who have been strongly supportive of the LGBTQ community. All scholarships emphasize demonstrated commitment to equality and civil rights for all people.

Gray Wolf Ranch Education Scholarship

For students studying substance abuse counseling, addiction, and treatment. Northwest Residency: Applicants must be a resident of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington but may study elsewhere. Applicants are considered a resident of one of these states if they: currently live within that state and have done so for at least three months prior to the application deadline; or have lived within that state for at least one year at any time within the five years prior to the application deadline; or have lived within that state for more than one year at any time and have been continuously enrolled in an accredited academic institution for the five years prior to the application deadline. For students committed to offering compassionate support services to those dealing with illness, death, grief or trauma, especially where violent acts such as suicide must be addressed. Applicants are considered a resident of one of these states if they: currently live within that state and have done so for at least three months prior to the application deadline; or have lived within that state for at least one year at any time within the five years prior to the application deadline; or have lived within that state for more than one year at any time and have been continuously enrolled in an accredited academic institution for the five years prior to the application deadline.
