Sarah E. Huneycutt Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements
Female high school seniors currently attending a Florida high school
Has not received a golf scholarship from any college or university
Must have financial need
Must have an interest or an association with the game of golf
Must maintain a 3.0 GPA throughout four years of college
Be of high moral and ethical standard
SE4A Scholarship
The purpose of this scholarship is to financially assist students who are pursuing a career in gerontology or geriatrics.
Selection of Recipient(s):
To apply for the scholarship, a student must be a junior, senior or graduate student currently enrolled in an accredited university within the eight Southeastern states: Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, North and South Carolina.
The following criteria will be used to rank nominations:
25 percent - Financial need
25 percent - Application aptness
10 percent - Writing skills
15 percent - Maintain 2.5 GPA
10 percent - Commitment to do volunteer work with elderly
Innovation in Education Scholarship
LA Tutors awards a monthly $500 Innovation Scholarship to high school and college students who showcase their creativity and make a positive impact.
Barbara L. Frye Scholarship
Graduating high school seniors and college students planning to pursue a career in journalism can apply for a $2,000 award each year. An applicant must be attending or expecting to attend a Florida college or university, or be a graduate or prospective graduate of a Florida high school who is attending or expecting to attend college inside or outside of Florida. You must be a graduating high school senior or college freshman, sophomore or junior at the time of application. Award is granted on the basis of merit, dedication to a journalism career and demonstrated aptitude for print or broadcast journalism. An applicant's racial minority or financial need may be considered by the selection committee, but these are not prerequisites for a scholarship.
MusicAuthority’s Annual Music Lovers Scholarship
MusicAuthority recognizes the positive impact that music can have on a student’s learning experience. Studies have shown how music can enhance learning- from improving memory performance to relieving anxiety, music can be a great component to aid a student’s college experience.
We are proud to offer our $1,000 scholarship to one current or prospective student. We will be offering this scholarship on a continual basis and we are excited to promote a passion for music and higher education.
Tractor Supply Company Scholarship
ELIGIBILITY: Pursing a four-year degree in any area of agriculture. Applicant must complete financial analysis section of application and exhibit financial need. Resident of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia or Wisconsin required. Recipients shall allow Tractor Supply Company to use photographs of themselves and their families in company advertising.AWARD: Approximately one scholarship at $3,000. Not guaranteed.
Birdsong Peanuts Scholarship
ELIGIBILITY: Pursuing a four-year degree in agriculture or agribusiness. Resident of Alabama, Florida or Georgia required. Applicant or applicant’s family must be peanut producers.AWARD: One scholarship at $1,000, non-renewable.
Fastline Publications Scholarship
ELIGIBILITY: Pursuing a four-year degree in agricultural business/farm/livestock or ranch management or agricultural sales and marketing. Seventeen $1,000 scholarships to a member from Illinois; Indiana; Iowa; Kansas; Kentucky; West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina or South Carolina; Arkansas, Louisiana or Mississippi; Missouri; Nebraska; Pennsylvania or New York; Washington, Oregon or Idaho; Ohio; Oklahoma; Alabama, Georgia or Florida; Tennessee; Texas; Wisconsin. In addition, seven scholarships are available to FFA members pursuing a two-year degree in agricultural business/farm/livestock or ranch management or agricultural sales and marketing to the states of Kansas; Kentucky; Nebraska; Ohio; Oklahoma; Texas; Alabama, Georgia or Florida. Applicants must live on a family farm, exhibit strong leadership skills, financial need and demonstrate interest in managing a farm.AWARD: 24 scholarships at $1,000 each, non-renewable.
MetLife Foundation Scholarship
ELIGIBILITY: Pursuing a four-year degree in select areas of agriculture, agribusiness management, communications, education, journalism, extension, public relations, finance, economics, sales, marketing, engineering, mechanization, technology, plant pathology, plant/animal breeding and genetics, range/soil science or public service and administration in agriculture. Resident of Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin or Wyoming required. No more than one scholarship per state.AWARD: 10 scholarships at $2,000 each, non-renewable.
Clubs of America
Eligible students will:
Write an essay of no fewer than 600 words about their career aspirations and how their current course load will help them achieve success in their careers. Where do you see yourself 10 years from now? Thinking outside the box is encouraged!

YouTube submissions are optional, although not required. Video should be no longer than 5 minutes. (Essays submitted via YouTube must also be submitted in writing.)
Junior & Senior College Scholarships
College prepared students in 11th & 12th grade can apply for Junior & Senior scholarships from $1,000-$10,000. Scholarships are awarded based on a wide variety of determining factors such as grade point average, curriculum focus, gender and household income, and will vary from scholarship to scholarship.
Scholarships are one-time awards. Scholarships valued at more than $4,000 can be distributed over a 4 year period. Applications are open from November-January (specific dates TBD) with recipients announced in the spring.
Take Stock in Children Scholarships
Take Stock in Children Scholarships are only available to students who meet standard criteria set by Florida’s Take Stock in Children Program.
Currently in 6th-10th grades
Currently enrolled in a Hillsborough County Public School
Qualify for free or reduced school lunch
Have a minimum GPA of 2.5
Students who meet these requirements may apply online during open application periods. After preliminary application screenings, students will be selected for an interview with Foundation staff, community volunteers, and HEF Board Members. Students who are deemed promising candidates for the program will be invited to become a Take Stock in Children Scholar.
These students will attend an induction ceremony where they will take a pledge of commitment to stay in school, maintain good grades, and make positive life choices throughout the remainder of their high school education. Students are monitored throughout the academic school years by a Hillsborough Education Foundation College Success Coach who reviews behavior and attendance, and matched with an adult mentor to offer guidance and support to help them stay on the right track for higher education. Upon graduating high school the student will receive his or her scholarship.
