Jewish Scholarships

Here are some of the Jewish scholarships on our site for which you may qualify.

The Saltzman Scholarship

Undergraduate or graduate student focused on specific career goal, preferably in the health care field. Student should have sense of giving back to community. Renewable.For Jewish students in Greater Cleveland. Awards are available to both full and part-time students. Students are awarded up to a maximum of $4,000 per academic year in the form of loans and grants based on the total applicant pool, total need and total available funds.To be eligible for consideration for aid, a family's income should not exceed $85,000 annually. Exceptions to this rule are made in unique circumstances. Funds are distributed each August for the fall term. Students can apply once a year.

The Irving I. Stone Support Foundation

Awarded to students attending Yeshiva University or approved Seminary/Yeshiva study in Israel.For Jewish students in Greater Cleveland. Awards are available to both full and part-time students. Students are awarded up to a maximum of $4,000 per academic year in the form of loans and grants based on the total applicant pool, total need and total available funds.To be eligible for consideration for aid, a family's income should not exceed $85,000 annually. The Stanley and Enid Rothenfeld Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a non-traditional needy Jewish student (min. 3.0 GPA).For Jewish students in Greater Cleveland. Awards are available to both full and part-time students. Students are awarded up to a maximum of $4,000 per academic year in the form of loans and grants based on the total applicant pool, total need and total available funds.To be eligible for consideration for aid, a family's income should not exceed $85,000 annually. The Howard S. Young Scholarship

Awarded to an academically superior student attending Case Western Reserve University. An engineering major is preferable. (Can be renewed.)For Jewish students in Greater Cleveland. Awards are available to both full and part-time students. Students are awarded up to a maximum of $4,000 per academic year in the form of loans and grants based on the total applicant pool, total need and total available funds.

The William Wortzman Family Education Fund

Financially disadvantage student, minimum 3.0 GPA. Students seeking business/law degree preferred.For Jewish students in Greater Cleveland. Awards are available to both full and part-time students. The Helen and Morris Zupnick Scholarship

Awarded to an Orthodox Jewish student with defined career goals and high academic credentials.

Joseph and Marion Greenbaum Scholarship Fund

The Joseph and Marion Greenbaum Scholarship Fund, a permanent restricted endowment of the Jewish Fund for the Future, provides scholarships for undergraduate students to attend accredited colleges or universities. For more information email Scholarships@ShalomDel.org.

Jerusalem Study Fund

The Jerusalem Study Fund is a permanent restricted endowment of the Jewish Fund for the Future and supports students 16 or older (with preference to applicants aged sixteen through twenty-four) in their study at educational institutions located in Jerusalem, or its proximate suburbs in Israel. The Fund supports payment toward international transportation, tuition, books, room and board to defray expenses which otherwise would be paid by recipients. Funding varies depending on the number of requests received and program cost.

Kimberly Dawn Ellis Scholarship Fund

To a first-year Jewish law student. Eligible students are requested to submit a letter of application detailing their academic qualifications, community and Jewish involvement, career goals and financial need.

Eva Levitan Memorial Scholarship

To provide financial assistance to Jewish residents of Connecticut who are interested in studying at a school of nursing. Amount Awarded: $750 Number Awarded: 1 each year. Duration: 1 year. Eligibility: This program is open to Jewish residents of Connecticut who are enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited college program in nursing. Selection is based on academic record and community service.

The Barbara Levy Calick Scholarship Fund

Established by Hilma B. Levy and Walter J. Levy in loving memory of their daughter, Barbara Kay Levy Calick, for the purpose of providing scholarships to assist with the costs of technical or trade training. Funds may also be used to aid with the costs of higher education at the undergraduate or graduate level. There is no minimum academic grade point average or test score required. Scholarship awards will be based on a combination of financial need, academic merit, proven leadership qualities and community involvement. Jewish and non-Jewish candidates are eligible to apply for this scholarship. One scholarship of $580.00 will be awarded. Areas of involvement: Cultural/religious studies,camps, trips, retreats and organizations. Community/civic activities. School related activities Hours enrolled/semester: 12/undergraduate, 9/graduate Giving primarily to Texas.

The Frank Gilford Scholarship

Established in memory of Frank Gilford. One scholarship is available for qualifying students who wish to pursue an education in Jewish studies either locally, elsewhere in the United States or in Israel. Financial need and academic merit will be considered. Education level: Jewish undergraduate and graduate students GPA: 3.0 Undergraduate Test Scores: SAT1000 or ACT24 Graduate Test Scores: GRE v540 q640 a600 or GMAT v32 q35 or equivalent Areas of involvement: Jewish studies, camps, trips, retreats and organizations. Community/civic activities. School-related activities. Hours enrolled/semester: 12/undergraduate, 9/graduate. Giving primarily to Texas.
