Hearst Journalism Awards Program

The Hearst Journalism Awards Program, was founded in 1960, to provide support, encouragement, and assistance to journalism education at the college and university level. The program awards scholarships to students for outstanding performance in college-level journalism, with matching grants to the students' schools. The 54th annual program offering up to $500,000 in awards, consists of five monthly writing competitions, two photojournalism competitions, three broadcast news competitions (one in radio and two in television), and four multimedia competitions - with championship finals in all divisions. Participation in the program is open to undergraduate journalism majors currently enrolled in ACEJMC - accredited domestic universities. An exception to the journalism major rule is made for students entering the photojournalism competitions. Entrants must be actively involved in campus media and must have published articles, photographs or produced newscasts or multimedia pieces that can be submitted in our writing, photojournalism, broadcast news and/or multimedia competitions. International Foodservice Editorial Council Scholarship

The International Foodservice Editorial Council (IFEC) awards scholarships annually to students with experience and/or education in the combination of food/ foodservice and the communication arts. Awards are intended to assist students planning to pursue careers as writers, editors, public relations practitioners, marketing communicators and similar within the food/ foodservice industries. This is a very specific niche. Students with questions about qualifications are encouraged to contact IFEC directly. Students in good standing in a degree-granting program of a post-secondary institution whose studies and work experience combine the fields of food/ foodservice and the communication arts are considered eligible. Awards range in amounts of from $1,500 – $6,000 and are dispersed in July of the award year. The deadline for submitting an application is midnight PST on March 15th. ISF-Dollar-a-Day Scholarship

ISF offers many joint scholarship programs with partner organization that share its common mission and vision. ISF is honored to host a joint scholarship with Dollar-A-Day Scholarship Fund. The ISF National Scholarships are open to all ISF supported majors. Description and Eligibility: ISF accepts online applications once a year starting in December for a period of three months. Each Eligible Applicant Must Be: Muslim and active member of the Muslim Community; Attending an accredited university in the U.S.; Majoring in an ISF supported field of study; Maintaining a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average; A Citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S.; An undergraduate (junior/senior) or of graduate standing.

ISF-ICCNC Scholarship

ISF supports Islamic organizations and mosques by planning and managing scholarship programs to students of their community. ISF is honored to host the scholarship program of the Islamic Cultural Center of Northern California, ICCNC. The ISF-ICCNC Scholarship program is only open to members and individuals affiliated with ICCNC. Description and Eligibility: ISF accepts online applications once a year starting in December for a period of three months. Each Eligible Applicant Must Be: Muslim and active member of the Muslim Community; Attending an accredited university in the U.S.; Majoring in an ISF supported field of study; Maintaining a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average; A Citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S.; An undergraduate (junior/senior) or of graduate standing.

ISF-MCA Scholarship

ISF supports Islamic organizations and mosques by planning and managing joint scholarships. ISF is honored to host the ISF-MCA Scholarship of the Muslim Community Association of the Bay Area, MCA. The ISF-MCA Scholarship program is only open to members and individuals affiliated with the MCA. Description and Eligibility: ISF accepts online applications once a year starting in December for a period of three months. Each Eligible Applicant Must Be: Muslim and active member of the Muslim Community; Attending an accredited university in the U.S.; Majoring in an ISF supported field of study; Maintaining a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average; A Citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S.; An undergraduate (junior/senior) or of graduate standing.

ISF supports Islamic organizations and mosques by planning and managing joint scholarships. ISF is honored to host the ISF-Yaseen Foundation scholarship. The ISF-Yaseen Foundation Scholarship program is only open to members and individuals affiliated with the this center. Description and Eligibility: ISF accepts online applications once a year starting in December for a period of three months.
