Don Renschler Scholarship

For Washington residents who are graduate students in the study of mental health.

The Eileen J. Garrett Scholarship

The Eileen J. Garrett Scholarship is available for undergraduate and graduate students who are completing parapsychology degree programs or conducting parapsychological research as part of their degree requirements.

The Robert R. Coly Prize

This is an essay contest for undergraduate and graduate students who are completing degree programs in other fields but who have strong interests in parapsychology.

The General Scholarly Incentive Award

This is available for students, researchers and scholars who need additional funding to complete degree programs or projects.

Mental Health Education Scholarship

Vantage Point Recovery is offering our annual General Education and Mental Health Education Scholarship! We are dedicated to helping to support education specific to mental health. Any student currently enrolled in an accredited college is considered eligible.

American Chemical Society Scholars Program

To qualify, candidates must be: - African-American, Hispanic/Latino, or America Indian; - a U.S. citizen or permanent residents of the U.S.; - a full-time student at an accredited college, university, or community college; - high academic achievers in chemistry or chemical science (GPA 3.0 or better; - able to demonstrate evidence of financial need according to the FAFSA form (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). - a high school senior, college freshman, sophomore or junior intending to or already majoring in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering or a chemically-related science and planning a career in the chemical sciences or chemical technology.

AFSCME/UNCF/Harvard University LWP Union Scholars Program

The future is in the hands of those with the ability and desire to change the world. People like you. That is why we are co-sponsoring the AFSCME/UNCF/Harvard University LWP Union Scholars Program. The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), has joined with Harvard University and UNCF to let those of you who qualify experience what it is like to be part of the labor movement. You can work on the front lines of a real union organizing campaign, where you will talk to workers about gaining a voice on the job, fair wages and benefits for themselves and their families ...by joining a union. You will get an opportunity to do the day-to-day work of outreach to workers by phone and on home visits, campaign research and material development. But the best part is that you will have a chance to make a difference in the lives of people. Plus, you will receive scholarship funding as well as have a real world experience that may help you see what lies in your future. Valid Driver's License required. Gray Wolf Ranch Education Scholarship

For students studying substance abuse counseling, addiction, and treatment. Northwest Residency: Applicants must be a resident of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington but may study elsewhere. Applicants are considered a resident of one of these states if they: currently live within that state and have done so for at least three months prior to the application deadline; or have lived within that state for at least one year at any time within the five years prior to the application deadline; or have lived within that state for more than one year at any time and have been continuously enrolled in an accredited academic institution for the five years prior to the application deadline. LGBTQ Community Involvement: Preference is given to students who are self-identified LGBTQ, members of LGBTQ families, or straight allies who have been strongly supportive of the LGBTQ community. All scholarships emphasize demonstrated commitment to equality and civil rights for all people.

HPSP Scholarship

WHO'S ELIGIBLE? The HPSP is available for students pursuing advanced degrees in medicine, dentistry, veterinary science, psychiatric nursing, optometry or psychology. To qualify for the Health Professions Scholarship Program, you must: Be a U.S. citizen with a baccalaureate degree from an accredited school Be enrolled in (or have a letter or acceptance from) an accredited graduate program in the U.S. or Puerto Rico (varies by specialty) Maintain full-time student status during the length of the program Qualify as a commissioned officer FINANCIAL INCENTIVES As you attend school, you'll receive a monthly stipend of more than $2,000. During breaks, you'll receive officer's pay while you train as part of our health care team. After graduation, you'll enter active duty in your specialty and advance in rank to captain. With every promotion, your salary will increase. Your time-in-service and cost-of-living adjustments also lead to pay increases. Additionally, you'll receive a monthly non-taxable allowance for food and housing. WHAT'S COVERED? The U.S. Army health care team will pay 100 percent of your tuition for a graduate-level health care degree for any accredited medical, dental, veterinary, psychology or optometry program in the United States or Puerto Rico. FULL-TUITION SCHOLARSHIP, PLUS A $20,000 SIGN-ON BONUS

NBCCF Military Scholarship

Description The military scholarship was created to increase the number of counselors available to serve military personnel and families suffering from a shortage of available mental health professionals. The NBCC Foundation is pleased to announce the military scholarships for service members, veterans and their spouses pursuing a career in professional counseling. These scholarships provide financial support to students who are currently enrolled in a CACREP-accredited, master’s-level counseling program; are active duty, have served in the military within the past five years or are a military spouse; and who commit to serving military personnel for a minimum of two years upon graduation. Five scholarships in the amount of $5,000 are available. Eligibility Requirements for Minority Fellowship Applicants: Applicants must be enrolled in a CACREP-accredited counseling master’s program. Applicants must carry at least six (6) credit hours during the current semester. Applicants must be prior or current active duty U. S. military service members; Veterans must have served in the military within the past five years and have received an honorable discharge; and military spouses. Applicants must commit to applying for the National Certified Counselor (NCC) credential prior to graduation. Applicants must commit to providing mental health services to service members and/or veterans for at least two years after graduation.

NBCCF Rural Scholarship

The NBCC Foundation is pleased to announce the rural scholarships for students pursuing a career in professional counseling. These scholarships provide financial support to students who are currently enrolled in a master’s-level, CACREP-accredited counseling program, live in a rural area and commit to serving rural areas for a minimum of two years upon graduation. Five scholarships in the amount of $5,000 are available. Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must be enrolled in a CACREP-accredited counseling master’s program. Applicant must carry at least six (6) credit hours during the current semester. Applicants must reside in a rural area as defined by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). Applicants must commit to applying for the National Certified Counselor (NCC) credential prior to graduation. Applicants must commit to providing mental health services in a rural area for at least two years after graduation. To check the CACREP status of a program, search the CACREP website here. Applicants may determine if they live in a qualifying area by checking the Heath Resources and Service Administration (HRSA) Web site of rural areas.

NBCCF Minority Masters Fellowship

The NBCC Foundation is pleased to announce the application period for the National Board for Certified Counselors Minority Fellowship Program (NBCC MFP). This program is made possible by grants awarded to NBCC by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The NBCC Foundation has been contracted by NBCC to administer 40 master’s-level counseling fellowships of up to $5,000 for mental health counseling students. Eligible applicants must demonstrate knowledge of and experience with racially and ethnically diverse populations, and commit to providing mental health services to underserved minority transition-age youth (16–25) populations. The NBCC MFP will help ensure that the behavioral health needs of all Americans are met, regardless of language or culture, thereby reducing health disparities and improving overall community health and well-being. By strategically promoting and providing fellowships to master’s-level counseling students, the NBCC MFP strengthens the infrastructure that engages diverse individuals in counseling and increases the number of professional counselors providing effective, culturally competent services to underserved populations. Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must be U.S. citizens or have a permanent resident status. Applicants must not receive any other federal funds or work for a federal agency. Applicants must be enrolled in a CACREP-accredited counseling master’s program. Applicants must demonstrate knowledge of and experience with racially and ethnically diverse populations. Applicants must commit to applying for the National Certified Counselor (NCC) credential prior to graduation. Applicants must commit to providing to providing mental health services to underserved minority transition-age youth (16–25) populations for two years post-graduation. African Americans, Alaska Natives, American Indians, Asian Americans, Hispanics/Latinos, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders are especially encouraged to apply.
