ISF-MCC Scholarship

ISF supports Islamic organizations and mosques by planning and managing joint scholarships. ISF is honored to host the ISF-MCC Scholarship of the Muslim Community Center East Bay, MCC. The ISF-MCC Scholarship program is only open to members and individuals affiliated with the MCC. Description and Eligibility: ISF accepts online applications once a year starting in December for a period of three months. Each Eligible Applicant Must Be: Muslim and active member of the Muslim Community; Attending an accredited university in the U.S.; Majoring in an ISF supported field of study; Maintaining a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average; A Citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S.; An undergraduate (junior/senior) or of graduate standing.

The ISF-Ehsan Scholarship is only open to members and individuals affiliated with this center. ISF-Islamic Shura Council of Southern California Scholarship

ISF supports Islamic organizations and mosques by planning and managing joint scholarships. ISF is honored to host the ISF-SoCal Shura Council Scholarship of the Islamic Shura Council of Southern California. The ISF-SoCal Shura Council Scholarship is only open to members and individuals affiliated with this organization. Description and Eligibility: ISF accepts online applications once a year starting in December for a period of three months. Each Eligible Applicant Must Be: Muslim and active member of the Southern California Muslim Community; Attending an accredited university in the U.S.; Majoring in an ISF supported field of study; Maintaining a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average; A Citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S.; An undergraduate (junior/senior) or of graduate standing.

ISF-IIOC Scholarship

ISF supports Islamic organizations and mosques by planning and managing joint scholarships. ISF is honored to host the ISF-IIOC scholarship of the Islamic Institute of Orange County (IIOC). The ISF-IIOC Scholarship program is only open to members and individuals affiliated with this center. Description and Eligibility: ISF accepts online applications once a year starting in December for a period of three months. Each Eligible Applicant Must Be: Muslim and active member of the Muslim Community; Attending an accredited university in the U.S.; Majoring in an ISF supported field of study; Maintaining a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average; A Citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S.; An undergraduate (junior/senior) or of graduate standing.

ISF-AslanMedia Scholarship

The Islamic Scholarship Fund offers a wide range of scholarships based on the fields and majors it supports. ISF also offers many joint scholarships with partner organization that share its common mission and vision. ISF is honored to work with the Reza Aslan and to host the ISF-ASLANMEDIA Scholarship. This scholarship is only open to journalism and media students. Recipients of the ISF-Aslan Media scholarship program are encouraged to intern with that organization. Description and Eligibility: ISF accepts online applications once a year starting in December for a period of three months. Each Eligible Applicant Must Be: Muslim and active member of the Muslim Community; Attending an accredited university in the U.S.; Majoring in an ISF supported field of study; Maintaining a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average; A Citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S.; An undergraduate (junior/senior) or of graduate standing.

ISF-ILLUME Scholarship

The Islamic Scholarship Fund offers a wide range of scholarships based on the fields and majors it supports. ISF also offers many joint scholarships with partner organization that share its common mission and vision. ISF is honored to work with ILLUME Magazine to host the ISF-ILLUME Scholarship. Recipients of this scholarship are encouraged to intern with ILLUME within one year of receiving this scholarship. Description and Eligibility: ISF accepts online applications once a year starting in December for a period of three months. Each Eligible Applicant Must Be: Muslim and active member of the Muslim Community; Attending a accredited university in the U.S.; Majoring in an ISF supported field of study; Maintaining a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average; A Citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S.; An undergraduate (junior/senior) or of graduate standing.

ISF-MPAC Scholarship

The Islamic Scholarship Fund offers a wide range of scholarships based on the fields and majors it supports. ISF also offers many joint scholarships with partner organization that share its common mission and vision. ISF is honored to work with the Muslim Public Service Network, MPAC and to host the ISF-MPAC Scholarship. ISF encourages its scholarship recipients to fulfill a volunteer service obligation with MPAC within one year of receiving this scholarship. Description and Eligibility: ISF accepts online applications once a year starting in December for a period of three months. Each Eligible Applicant Must Be: Muslim and active member of the Muslim Community; Attending an accredited university in the U.S.; Majoring in an ISF supported field of study; Maintaining a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average; A Citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S.; An undergraduate (junior/senior) or of graduate standing.

ISF-Syed Ibrahim Memorial Scholarship For Greater Boston

ISF is pleased to expand its activities to the Greater Boston Region through the ISF-Syed Ibrahim Memorial Scholarship initiated by the Syed family in memory of Syed Ibrahim. This scholarship is open to local residents of the Greater Boston region who upon graduation will remain or return to the region to play a prominent role in their local community through their activism and leadership, developing visionary ideas for the future of their community. In addition, ISF encourages its scholarship recipients to fulfill a volunteer service obligation through relevant internship programs within one year of receiving a scholarship under the direct supervision of ISF and its regional Strategic Partner the Islamic Society Boston Cultural Center, ISBCC. Description and Eligibility: ISF accepts online applications once a year starting in December for a period of three months. Each Eligible Applicant Must Be: Muslim and active member of the Greater Boston Muslim Community; Attending an accredited university in the U.S.; Majoring in an ISF supported field of study; Maintaining a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average; A Citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S.; An undergraduate (junior/senior) or of graduate standing.

AP-Google Scholarship

The AP-Google Journalism and Technology Scholarship Program fosters new journalism skills in undergraduate and graduate students developing projects at the intersection of journalism and technology. Our goal: To shine a light on the hidden treasures in schools across the country — the digital-minded journalists who will be the future of our industry. The program is targeted to individual students creating innovative projects that further the ideals of digital journalism. A key goal is to promote geographic, gender and ethnic diversity, with an emphasis on rural and urban areas. Have you created original journalistic content with computer science elements? Are you thinking up new ways to tell a story with technology? Are you a “techie” who knows how to construct a journalistic story through multimedia? We’re looking for students pursuing studies at the crossroads of journalism, computer sciences and new media. If you’re on the cutting edge of digital media beyond the classroom, this scholarship is for you! Students from diverse backgrounds, as well as those attending rural-area institutions, are strongly encouraged to apply. A selected number of scholarships will be based on financial need. AWARD Six students will receive scholarship awards of $20,000 each. Half of the award will be granted in the first semester. The remainder will be awarded in the second semester upon proof of project proposal update and maintenance of a 3.0 GPA. Awards will be made payable to the post-secondary institution. Scholarship winners also will receive a one-year ONA membership and recognition at ONA’s annual conference. Applicants must meet the following requirements at the time of the application: Be a U.S. citizen Be a minimum of 18 years of age Be currently enrolled full time at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree. (College graduates returning to school are eligible to apply and must provide an acceptance letter from graduate institution.) HBO Point Scholarship

The HBO Point Scholarship is awarded to a creative and dynamic individual who intends to pursue a career in the media. Who qualifies for a Point Scholarship? Please review the current scholar and alumni bios that are posted on Point's website, as each biography demonstrates the qualities and experiences that Point looks for in the strongest applicants. Very strong academic performance is one characteristic that Point seeks in all its applicants and subsequent scholars. Additionally, proven leadership skills and the desire to make a difference in the world are highly valued. Each person who applies for a Point Scholarship is evaluated on the totality of their situation. Academic achievement, personal merit, leadership, involvement in the LGBTQ community, professional experiences, financial need, marginalization, personal and future goals are all taken into consideration.

Levy Production Group’s “Rising Star in Production” Scholarship

National Academy Television Arts and Sciences, Lone Star Chapter Student Scholarship

The Lone Star EMMY Educational Foundation proudly offers the National Academy Television Arts and Sciences, Lone Star Chapter Student Scholarship for college students pursuing a career in the television industry. Lone Star EMMY Educational Foundation will award a scholarship of up to $10,000 to qualified student chosen by our Scholarship Committee. The Foundation will annually review the amount of the scholarships. To be considered for a scholarship, a student must meet the following eligibility requirements: Student must be in good standing (not on academic probation) with a minimum 3.0 GPA in their respective major. Student must be currently enrolled in an institution of higher learning in the State of Texas at a junior level or above. Undergraduate students must have two (2) academic semesters remaining when the scholarship is awarded or be enrolled in graduate school. Student must be majoring in Radio, Television, Film; Broadcast Journalism; or related major. Student must submit at least two letters of recommendation from faculty, employers or internship supervisor. Student must submit a 3 page essay responding to these questions. Why did you select the television industry as your career choice? In what television/related activities have you participated whether in school or outside of the classroom? What is your first job preference after college and why? What is your ultimate career goal? Student must include a sample of work. Include in your essay 3-5 links to your best/most relevant work samples. Work samples should be broadcast (television) or online pieces. Applicants are encouraged to upload their work samples to sites such as You Tube, Vimeo, or their personal website. Please discuss your role in each piece on the sample (e.g. producer, editor, talent, photographer, etc.)
