Interior Design Scholarships

Here are some of the Interior Design scholarships on our site for which you may qualify.

IFDA Student Member Scholarship

The IFDA Student Member Scholarship is available through the IFDA Educational Foundation to a full-time, current student member of IFDA who has completed a minimum of four design courses in a post secondary interior design or related program. An additional letter of recommendation from an IFDA Professional Member is required. The IFDA student identification number must be included on the application form. ELIGIBILITY/GUIDELINES All applicants must have completed four design courses in post secondary education at the time of application and be majoring in Interior Design or a related field. The completed application packet must include a sealed transcript of course work that verifies full-time status and shows your GPA. Transcript may be sent separately.

Vercille Voss Graduate Student Scholarship

The IFDA Illinois Chapter initiated the Vercille Voss Graduate Student Scholarship in memory of Vercille Voss, longtime chapter member and mentor to new members and students. The applicant must be enrolled as a part-time or full-time graduate student at an accredited university. Application accepted each year between March 1 and postmarked no later than March 31. Results announced by July 31. See application form for further requirements. ELIGIBILITY/GUIDELINES All applicants must be graduate students and have completed four design courses in post-secondary education at the time of application and be majoring in Interior Design or a related field.

Ruth Clark Furniture Design Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY/GUIDELINES All applicants must have completed four design courses in post-secondary education at the time of application and be majoring in Interior Design or a related field. All applicants must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate students majoring in DESIGN with a focus on residential upholstered and/or wood furniture design. The completed application packet must include a sealed transcript of course work that verifies full-time status and shows your GPA. Transcript may be sent separately. Application accepted each year between March 1 and postmarked no later than March 31. Winner will be notified by July 31. See application form for further requirements.

Green/Sustainable Design Scholarship

Aware of increasing environmental concerns worldwide, the IFDA Educational Foundation established a scholarship for a student focusing on the evolving green/sustainable field of study. Sustainable design is the development of innovative ways to create living spaces that are energy efficient and feature green/sustainable materials, fabrications and products. The student applying for this scholarship is planning to become an educated participant in the green movement. Paying equal attention to both sustainability factors and design aesthetics, the student should be demonstrating creative use of green products and eco-friendly furnishings in class projects. The student is familiar with current information in the green/sustainable field, is applying this knowledge in class work and has a goal of seeking a future LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) accreditation. ELIGIBILITY/GUIDELINES All applicants must have completed four design courses in post-secondary education at the time of application and be majoring in Interior Design or a related field. The completed application packet must include a sealed transcript of course work that verifies full-time status and shows your GPA. Transcript may be sent separately. NEWH/Clifford R. Tuttle Scholarship

NEWH proudly announces the $5,000 NEWH/Clifford R. Tuttle Scholarship Award open to students pursuing a career affiliated with the Hospitality Industry in Interior Design. The chosen scholarship winner will be honored at the Platinum Circle Awards at the Conrad Hotel in New York City. The scholarship recipient is required to attend the award presentation with travel and lodging provided by NEWH, Inc. Requirements for The NEWH/Clifford R. Tuttle Scholarship Award are:  Must be a currently enrolled student attending an accredited college  Must have completed half the requirements for an undergraduate degree or be enrolled in a graduate program  Must show financial need and have eligible outstanding debt for tuition, books or supplies at time of award  Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA  Must be pursuing a career objective in the area of the Hospitality Industry in Interior Design  See application for additional submittal requirements
