Warren W. Rosenthal Undergraduate Scholarship
Recipients selected by staff at Transylvania University
Who Can Apply: Any student pursuing an education in a restaurant, foodservice, or hospitality-related major.
Thad & Alice Eure Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is for any student pursuing an education in a restaurant, foodservice, or hospitality related major.
Award amount: $2,500 or varies - other awards based on activities

Cal Stamenov Scholarship
This scholarship is for any student pursuing an education in a restaurant, foodservice, or hospitality related major.
Scott Vandenberg Scholarship
This scholarship is for any student pursuing an education in a restaurant, foodservice, or hospitality related major.
Award amount: $2,500
Who Can Apply: Any student pursuing an education in a restaurant, foodservice, or hospitality related major.
Pete and Arlene Harman Trust Scholarship
This unrestricted scholarship aims to inspire and encourage students to follow their dreams and achieve greatness while pursuing an education in a restaurant, foodservice, or hospitality related major.
Pete Harman, best known for founding KFC is passionate about the food industry and helping students who wish to pursue careers in the food and hospitality industries. Harman and his wife, Arlene, opened their first restaurant, The Do Drop Inn, with two employees in 1941. Since then he has had a love for the industry. Harman struck gold when he worked with Harland (Colonel) Sanders to develop and prepare the KFC system for franchising, working to develop training manuals and product guides. His other claims to fame are the development of the bucket packaging and the emphasis on the "Finger-lickin' good" motto.

Fred Dame Scholarship
This scholarship is for any student pursuing an education in a restaurant, foodservice, or hospitality related major with first preference will be for students attending California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, Purdue University, University of Houston, or University of South Carolina. Second preference will be for students attending Auburn University.
If there are not enough eligible students from any of these institutions, an eligible student from the NRAEF general pool will be selected.
Award amount: $2,500
Who Can Apply: Preference given to students attending the above schools.
Sweeney Family Scholarship
The "Sweeney Family Scholarship" is awarded annually, and provides assistance to individuals with disabilities so they can pursue educational goals or gain technical expertise beyond high school to increase their career options and enrich their lives through education and training. This scholarship is for any student pursuing an education in a restaurant, foodservice, or hospitality related major.
Who Can Apply: Students with disabilities.
David R. Parsley Endowed Scholarship Fund for Supply Chain Management
The David R. Parsley Endowed Scholarship Fund for Supply Chain Management was created to encourage students to pursue higher education towards furthering their career in food service supply chain management.
This scholarship was named after David R. Parsley, senior vice president of supply chain management for Brinker International, Inc., who is the former chairman of the National Restaurant Association’s Supply Chain Management Executive Study Group and was instrumental in the Group’s formation and growth. Under his leadership, the Group became a best-in-class forum for networking, relationship building and mutual exchange of information relative to supply chain. The group focuses on supply chain management best practices that have application across the restaurant, food service and hospitality industry.
Who Can Apply: Students pursuing undergraduate degrees in supply chain management.
Glenn and Sue Hammer Scholarship
The Glenn and Sue Hammer Scholarship supports hospitality students at UNLV. Priority goes first and foremost to Monterey County residents, followed by students from anywhere in California and then those elsewhere in the United States.
Award amount: $2500
Who Can Apply: This scholarship is for eligible students attending the University of Nevada, Las Vegas- Harrah College of Hotel Administration (Hospitality School). Of these students, first choice is for UNLV students from Monterey County, CA, followed by any students from California. If there are not eligible students meeting these preferences, the funds may be distributed to other eligible applicants attending UNLV- Hospitality School.
Monterey County Hospitality Association Scholarship
MCHA is the only hospitality trade organization that serves all facets of the hospitality industry throughout Monterey County. All businesses in Monterey County are affected in some way by the tourism industry. Positive revenue for tourism and hospitality means positive growth for Monterey County. Positive growth for Monterey County means positive growth for your business. The purpose of the Monterey County Hospitality Association is to actively foster, protect and represent the interests of the members of the association by providing advocacy and representation on government issues; providing educational resources; and ensuring that the economic benefits of hospitality are made known to the community through active community and business relations efforts.
Preferred recipient will be pursuing a career in the hospitality/wine industry. They should have a minimum of 250 hours of hospitality/wine related work experience and at least 2 letters of recommendation.
Award amount: Minimum $2500
Who Can Apply: MCHA will provide NRAEF with names and applications of eligible applicants.
Professional Development Scholarships for Educators
This scholarship is for educators who are attending an NRAEF Summer Institute.
Award amount: $1,750
Charlie Trotter’s Culinary Education Foundation/American Culinary Federation Education Foundation
Eligibility Requirements:
Charlie Trotter’s Culinary Education Foundation partnered with ACF’s Education Foundation to award need-based scholarships to students seeking culinary careers and the pursuit of excellence. A limited number of scholarships will be awarded annually
based on fund availability. To be considered by the scholarship committee, an applicant must meet the following criteria:
• Have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• Be currently enrolled or accepted in an accredited, post-secondary school with a major in the culinary/hospitality field, or be an ACFEF-registered apprentice.
• Demonstrate some level of foodservice experience or food classes at the secondary school level.
