HPSP Scholarship

WHO'S ELIGIBLE? The HPSP is available for students pursuing advanced degrees in medicine, dentistry, veterinary science, psychiatric nursing, optometry or psychology. To qualify for the Health Professions Scholarship Program, you must: Be a U.S. citizen with a baccalaureate degree from an accredited school Be enrolled in (or have a letter or acceptance from) an accredited graduate program in the U.S. or Puerto Rico (varies by specialty) Maintain full-time student status during the length of the program Qualify as a commissioned officer FINANCIAL INCENTIVES As you attend school, you'll receive a monthly stipend of more than $2,000. During breaks, you'll receive officer's pay while you train as part of our health care team. After graduation, you'll enter active duty in your specialty and advance in rank to captain. With every promotion, your salary will increase. Your time-in-service and cost-of-living adjustments also lead to pay increases. Additionally, you'll receive a monthly non-taxable allowance for food and housing. WHAT'S COVERED? The U.S. Army health care team will pay 100 percent of your tuition for a graduate-level health care degree for any accredited medical, dental, veterinary, psychology or optometry program in the United States or Puerto Rico. Go Red Multicultural Scholarship Fund

Macy’s and the American Heart Association are continuing their concerted efforts to increase the number of minority women in medical schools through the Go Red™ Multicultural Scholarship Fund. For the fourth consecutive year, the partners are offering sixteen $2,500 tuition-focused scholarships for minority women pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees in healthcare fields. Applicants must: Be a female of Hispanic, African-American, Asian/Pacific Islander or other minority origin Be a citizen/permanent resident of the continental United States, including Hawaii and Alaska Be currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or allied health institution in the U.S. and plan to be enrolled in the Fall Have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA Complete an essay and submit two letters of recommendation with the application Step 2: Apply online You’ll be asked to: Create a login Fill out the application form Step 3: Finalize and upload documents You’ll need to provide: A Community Involvement description Transcripts Two Letters of Recommendation A Personal Essay

Absolute Dental’s “Dentists of the Future” Scholarship

This scholarship will be awarded to a student pursuing a career in the dental field. High school seniors to graduate students can apply as long as you have 3.0 GPA or higher.

Armenian American Medical Society Scholarship

Scholarship Criteria • • • • Armenian Descent or Special interest in Armenian Medical Causes • Armenian Community Service • Completed Application Package $1,000 will be awarded to students enrolled in an American accredited medical, pharmacy, dental, physician assistant, nursing or other professional healthcare schools Scholarship award is intended for students of Armenian descent, or with special interest in Armenian Affairs  Currently attending an American accredited medical, pharmacy, dental, physician assistant, nursing or other professional healthcare schools  Proof of acceptance to the school you are attending  Sealed official transcripts, current academic reference letter  Current reference letter attesting to Armenian community service  Essay

Alva S. Appleby Scholarship

Criteria for Applications A student wishing to apply for the Appleby Scholarship must: - Be a resident of the State of Maine - Have completed the first year of dental school - Be currently enrolled in a dental school accredited by the American Dental Association Procedure for Application Interested parties should request an application form from the Maine Dental Association, PO Box 215 Manchester, ME 04351. The application should be accompanied by: - One personal letter of recommendation - Two dental school instructor letters of recommendation - An undergraduate college transcript - A current dental school transcript - A personal statement explaining your choice of dentistry as a career and your future goals, including your goals to practice in the State of Maine Criteria for Selection The MDA Foundation Committee for the Appleby Scholarship will review the applications and choose the scholarship recipients based upon a review of the application and the accompanied documentation requested.

Mary B. Rhodes Scholarship

Awarded to children of international missionaries who are medical students and plan to go into international missions. Those majoring in nursing, dentistry, or pharmacy will also be considered. Application Deadline March 1 / Awarded in June Criteria for All Scholarship Applicants: Our primary mission focus is to assist Baptist students and/or entities, with activities that further the cause of Christ around the world. To be eligible for an MK scholarship, applicants must show that their parents are affiliated with a Southern Baptist-related entity.
