Scholarship Description
Criteria for Applications
A student wishing to apply for the Appleby Scholarship must:
- Be a resident of the State of Maine
- Have completed the first year of dental school
- Be currently enrolled in a dental school accredited by the American Dental Association
Procedure for Application
Interested parties should request an application form from the Maine Dental Association, PO Box 215
Manchester, ME 04351. The application should be accompanied by:
- One personal letter of recommendation
- Two dental school instructor letters of recommendation
- An undergraduate college transcript
- A current dental school transcript
- A personal statement explaining your choice of dentistry as a career and your future goals, including your goals to practice in the State of Maine
Criteria for Selection
The MDA Foundation Committee for the Appleby Scholarship will review the applications and choose the scholarship recipients based upon a review of the application and the accompanied documentation requested.
