Computer Science Scholarships

Here are some of the Computer Science scholarships on our site for which you may qualify.

Lockheed-Martin Corporation Scholarships

These scholarship are awarded to engineering majors. All SWE scholarships are open only to women majoring in engineering or computer science in a college or university with an ABET-accredited program or in a SWE-approved school, and who will be in a specified year of study during the academic year the grant payment is made. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.5/4.0 or above.

Past Presidents Scholarship

Eligibility is open to freshmen, sophomore, junior, senior or graduate engineering students. Recipients must be U.S. citizens. All SWE scholarships are open only to women majoring in engineering or computer science in a college or university with an ABET-accredited program or in a SWE-approved school, and who will be in a specified year of study during the academic year the grant payment is made. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.5/4.0 or above.

3M Company Scholarships

These awards are presented to students entering engineering. Preference is given to electrical, industrial and mechanical engineering majors. Recipients must be U.S. citizens. All SWE scholarships are open only to women majoring in engineering or computer science in a college or university with an ABET-accredited program or in a SWE-approved school, and who will be in a specified year of study during the academic year the grant payment is made. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.5/4.0 or above.

SWE Corporate Scholarship

First established in 1999, this scholarship is awarded to an entering sophomore student majoring in engineering or computer science. Recipients must be U.S. citizens. All SWE scholarships are open only to women majoring in engineering or computer science in a college or university with an ABET-accredited program or in a SWE-approved school, and who will be in a specified year of study during the academic year the grant payment is made. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0/4.0 or above.

GTE Foundation Scholarships

These scholarships were awarded for the first time in 1995. Scholarships are presented to entering sophomore or junior women majoring in electrical engineering or computer science. The minimum GPA requirement is 3.5/4.0. All SWE scholarships are open only to women majoring in engineering or computer science in a college or university with an ABET-accredited program or in a SWE-approved school, and who will be in a specified year of study during the academic year the grant payment is made.

Dell Computer Corporation Scholarships

Awarded to entering juniors and seniors majoring in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or mechanical engineering who demonstrate financial need. All SWE scholarships are open only to women majoring in engineering or computer science in a college or university with an ABET-accredited program or in a SWE-approved school, and who will be in a specified year of study during the academic year the grant payment is made. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0/4.0 or above.

Daimlerchrysler Corporation Fund Scholarships

Awarded to entering sophomore women in mechanical or electrical engineering, these scholarships are renewable for two additional years. All SWE scholarships are open only to women majoring in engineering or computer science in a college or university with an ABET-accredited program or in a SWE-approved school, and who will be in a specified year of study during the academic year the grant payment is made. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0/4.0 or above.

Rockwell Corporation Scholarship

These scholarships are awarded to underrepresented women in their junior years majoring in engineering. The recipients must have demonstrated leadership ability. All SWE scholarships are open only to women majoring in engineering or computer science in a college or university with an ABET-accredited program or in a SWE-approved school, and who will be in a specified year of study during the academic year the grant payment is made. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.5/4.0 or above.

David Sarnoff Research Center Scholarship

Established for a woman engineering or computer science student, who is a U.S. citizen entering her junior year of study. All SWE scholarships are open only to women majoring in engineering or computer science in a college or university with an ABET-accredited program or in a SWE-approved school, and who will be in a specified year of study during the academic year the grant payment is made. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.5/4.0 or above.

United Technologies Corporation Scholarships

The two awards presented each year are renewable for two years. Recipients must be U.S. citizens entering their sophomore year and majoring in electrical or mechanical engineering. All SWE scholarships are open only to women majoring in engineering or computer science in a college or university with an ABET-accredited program or in a SWE-approved school, and who will be in a specified year of study during the academic year the grant payment is made. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.5/4.0 or above.

B.K. Krenzer Memorial Reentry Scholarship

Preference is given to degreed engineers preparing for reentry to the engineering workforce following a period of temporary retirement. Established to assist women in obtaining the credentials to reenter the job market as engineers. Eligibility is restricted to women who have been out of the engineering job market as well as out of school for a minimum of two years prior to reentry. Recipient may be entering any undergraduate or graduate year, including doctoral programs, as full or part time students. All SWE scholarships are open only to women majoring in engineering or computer science in a college or university with an ABET-accredited program or in a SWE-approved school, and who will be in a specified year of study during the academic year the grant payment is made.

Buildium’s Build U. Scholarship

Buildium’s Build U. Scholarship awards one $2,500 prize each semester to the student who can write the winning essay on how having a shared set of beliefs is important for building a great company. This is open to student at least 18 years old in good academic standing and majoring in Product Design, Interaction Design, UX Design, Engineering, or Computer Science.
