Communications Scholarships

ELIGIBILITY: Pursuing a four-year degree in agricultural communications, education, public relations, business management, economics, finance, international agriculture, sales or marketing. Applicants must exhibit strong leadership skills and have participated in community service. Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale required. Attendance at Iowa State University, Penn State University, Purdue University, University of Illinois-Champaign, University of Wisconsin-Madison or University of Wisconsin-Platteville required. Scholarship recipients will be provided information regarding opportunities for possible summer internships/employment at CNH Capital.AWARD: 14 scholarships at $2,250 each, non-renewable.

Offered across the globe in Australia, China, Europe, India and South Africa, the ISLP programs provide delegates the opportunity to further career development, strengthen leadership skills and engage in a culturally enriching experience. In each ISLP delegation, scholars increase knowledge and preparation in a specific career field such as Anthropology & Archaeology, Communications & Journalism, Business, Diplomacy & International Relations, Engineering, Medicine and Nursing. Through a comparative curriculum, they gain a global understanding of how their career of interest is practiced in the host country and they are able to compare and contrast current methods and procedures in the United States.Golden Key and ISLP have partnered to offer four (4) $2,000(USD) scholarships exclusively for Golden Key members.

Eligibility Criteria:•Must be of Hispanic background•Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in the United States or Puerto Rico•Must be studying at an accredited university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico for the upcoming academic year•Must be (or plan to be) enrolled full-time undergraduate or graduate student for the upcoming academic year•Must have earned and maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average of no less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale•Must demonstrate financial need•Must be studying a major that falls under the Business Majors

Program Description:The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) and GMAC Financial services have partnered to provide book scholarships to assist outstanding Latino students in their purchase of college textbooks. This scholarship is open to undergraduate students in selected geographic locations pursuing degrees in Business, Communication or Urban Planning.Eligibility Requirements: * Be of Hispanic heritage * Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired) * Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale * Must major in either one of the following: Accounting, Advertising, Business Administration, Communications, Economics, Finance, Human Resource Management, Management, Marketing, Public Policy & Management, Public Relations, or Urban Studies/Planning * Have plans to enroll FULL-TIME in a degree seeking program at a four year U.S. accredited institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands or Guam. * Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Program Description:The HSF/ McNamara Family Foundation Creative Arts Project Grant is designed to provide financial resources to outstanding Latino undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in a creative arts related field: media, film, performing arts, communications, writing, etc. This grant is only intended to assist students in beginning and completing an art project. Students may be potentially eligible for grants up to $15,000. Eligibility Requirements: * Be of Hispanic heritage * Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired) * Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale * Be an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled full-time in a degree-seeking program at a U.S. accredited institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, or U.S. Virgin Islands the upcoming academic year * Be majoring in the Arts, including but not limited to media, film, performing arts, communications or writing * Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Eligibility: * Awarded to a full-time student interested in the study of speech, telecommunications, or theatre and drama. * A minimum 2.5 GPA is required. * Preference will be given to active members of the Delta Chapter of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. * For more information, contact the scholarship committee of Kappa Kappa Gamma.

Purpose of Scholarship To support local college students interested in the fields of telecommunications and technology who have a strong desire to attain an education and need financial assistance. Number and Size of Awards Two awards, up to $5,000.00 each Allowed Use of Award Tuition, books, and course-required expenses only. Room and/or board and personal expenses will not be covered. The award may not exceed the actual cost of expenses. Eligibility Criteria For graduating seniors of public, private, or parochial schools in the 8-county area (Monroe, Wayne, Livingston, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Yates, and Genesee) who Will be attending a college in the 8-county area Are pursuing an undergraduate degree in telecommunications, technology, information or data technology, or a related program Have financial need Have a minimum GPA of 2.5 Are active in community service activities

Giving on a national basis, with emphasis on areas of company operations.

For students currently attending a local college, with at least one more year of classes left to take.Preferred majors include: Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Graphic Design, and Advertising Departments.

Program Description: This program, offered in partnership with Nissan, is available to community college students transferring to a four-year institution in Dallas. TX or Los Angeles, CA. Awards are in the amount of $2,500 for the full academic year. Eligibility Requirements: Be of Hispanic heritage. Be a U.S. Citizen or a legal permanent resident with permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired). Be currently enrolled part-time or full-time at a community college. Have plans to transfer and enroll full-time in a degree-seeking program at a four-year U.S. accredited institution in Dallas, TX or Los Angeles, CA. Be pursuing a degree in Business, Engineering, Journalism/Communications or Public Relations. Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale (or the equivalent). Must apply for Federal Financial Aid.

Have earned at least 12 undergraduate units or credits in a U.S. accredited college or university. Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent).
