he ASDSO Scholarship Program, established in 1992, awards annual undergraduate scholarships to U.S. citizens enrolled in accredited programs in engineering or related fields and planning careers related to the design, construction, or operation of dams. Scholarships have ranged from $5,000 to $10,000 in recent years. Successful recipients must be U.S. citizens and enrolled full-time at the senior level during the following year's academic term in an accredited civil engineering program, or in a related field as determined by ASDSO, and must demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in hydraulics, hydrology or geotechnical disciplines, or in another discipline related to the design, construction and operation of dams. Minimum Criteria Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 for the first three years of college and be recommended by their academic advisor. Basis for Award The basis for selection will generally follow these guidelines: Academic Scholarship Financial Need Work Experience/Activities Essay Announcement of successful candidates will be made in July of each year.

The NAHB Professional Women in Building Strategies for Success Scholarship Fund encourages students to further their education in housing industry related programs. It was initiated in 2001 by NAHB Professional Women in Building Past National President Deborah Ferland and Austin Ferland and is supported through the generosity of Professional Women in Building members, individuals, and corporations.Up to $2,000 can be awarded to a full time student pursuing education in a building-related course of study, such as construction management, construction technology, civil engineering, architecture, design, or any of the trade specialties at the college or university they attend.
