BHP-Coal New Mexico Scholarship

Requirements: 1. Enrolled member of Navajo or Ute Mountain Ute Indian. Certification of Tribal membership is required. 2. High school senior admitted to college, students currently atteding or admitted to a four-year college. 3. Minimum cumulative B average or 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. GPA must have been attained as a high school senior or from current college performance. 4. ACT SCORE: 22 or better 5. Must be registered as a full-time student and show proof of full-time student status prior to award payment. 6. Major course of study must be in the following areas: engineering (mining, civil, mechanical, electrical), business/accounting, environmental/reclamation sciences, labor/industrial relations, purchasing, or occupational safety.

Straight North STEM Scholarship

With Internet marketing becoming more complex and challenging by the day, successful execution requires a solid education. As an industry leader, Straight North supports students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) disciplines. Through the Straight North STEM Scholarship, we award the winning student $1,000 to be used toward his or her degree. In addition, we award $250 book scholarships to the two runners-up.

Philip W. Sheridan-Tighe and Bond Scholarship

Graduating seniors from Hampden or Hampshire counties who will be studying civil engineering (or a related field) at a four-year college. One $2,800 award was made in previous year.

Construction Technology Scholarship Fund

Scholarship awards to students from low-income families pursuing studies in the construction and civil engineering dept. at New York City Technical College, NY. Application form required. Giving limited to residents of NY.

CDM Scholarship/Internship

Scholarship Value: $6,000 Classifications: Open Minimum GPA: 3.0 Eligible Majors: Engineering, Science Eligible Schools: UNCF Member Colleges and Universities (please check the website for the complete list) Eligible Locations: Open Scholarship Detail: CDM and its subsidiaries, CDM Federal Programs Corporation and CDM Constructors, Inc. in association with the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) have established a scholarship/internship program for six students who have a 3.0 grade point average or above and who are majoring in a variety or engineering, science or construction disciplines, such as chemical, civil, electrical, environmental, geotechnical, geology/hydrogeology, geography, GIS, mechanical, mining and structural or will be pursuing a masters degree in one of the aforementioned disciplines. Gilbane Scholarship Program (New Jersey)

Eligible Schools: UNCF Member Colleges and Universities (please check the website for the complete list) Eligible Locations: New York, New Jersey Scholarship Detail: Gilbane provides a scholarship in the amount of $5,000 after students have successfully completed a paid internship. Gilbane has a preference for majors in the field of civil engineering or construction engineering technology. Gilbane is also considering candidates from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Howard University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Pratt Institute, Rutgers University, Stevens Institute of Technology and Syracuse University. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Majors Scholarships

The Graduate Fellowship Award

Eligible applicants for Hertz Fellowships must be students of the applied physical, biological and engineering sciences who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States of America, and who are willing to morally commit to make their skills available to the United States in time of national emergency (see our Moral Commitment section).College seniors wishing to pursue the Ph.D. degree in any of the fields of particular interest to the Foundation, as well as graduate students already in the process of doing so, may apply.We screen Fellowship applicants for qualities the Foundation believes are essential ingredients of future professional accomplishment and/or reasonably reliable leading indicators of future professional success. These include:• Exceptional Intelligence and Creativitywith particular emphasis on those aspects pertinent to technical endeavors• Excellent Technical Educationevidenced not only by transcripts and reference reports from senior technical professionals, but also by the results of a personal, technical interview• Orientation and Commitment to the applications of the physical sciences as is typical of most applicants• Extraordinary Accomplishment in technical or related professional studies which may offset slightly lower academic records, or add luster to outstanding ones• Features of Temperament and Character conducive to high attainment as a technical professional the assessment of which is difficult, albeit important to the Foundation• Appropriate moral and ethical values of considerable interest to the Foundation in the furthering of our basic goals• Leverage what difference the award of the Hertz Fellowship is likely to make in the kind, quality, and/or personal creativity of the student's graduate researchWe do not support students pursuing advanced professional degrees other than the Ph.D., such as enrollees in M.D., LLD or MBA programs, although we will support the Ph.D. portion of a joint M.D./Ph.D. study program.
