Here are some of the Aviation scholarships on our site for which you may qualify.
NDSEG Fellowship Program
The NDSEG Fellowship Program is open only to applicants who are citizens or nationals of the United States. Persons who hold permanent resident status are not eligible to apply. NDSEG Fellowships are intended for students at or near the beginning of their graduate studies in science or engineering. Applicants must receive or be on track to receive their baccalaureate degrees by the upcoming Fall. Preference to applicants pursuing doctoral study and research in aeronautical and astronautical engineering, biosciences (including toxicology), chemical engineering, chemistry, cognitive, neural and behavioral sciences, computer science, electrical engineering, geosciences, materials science and engineering, mathematics, mechanical engineering, naval architecture and ocean engineering, oceanography, and physics (includes optics). Recommended GPA is 3.0 and higher. Applications are encouraged from women, persons with disabilities and minorities, including ethnic minority groups such as American Indian, Black, Hispanic, Native Alaskan (Eskimo or Aleut) or Pacific Islander (Polynesian or Micronesian). NDSEG Fellows may choose as their fellowship institutions appropriate United States institutions of higher education offering advanced degrees in science or engineering. During part of their tenure, fellows may study or engage in research or field work away from their academic institutions if, in the judgment of the faculty, such arrangements further the fellow's education and contribute directly to the attainment of an advanced degree, and the fellow is officially enrolled and earning academic credit.
Teledyne Continental Aviation Excellence Schp
Awarded to an individual displaying the potential to become a professional in any field of aviation. Must major in aviation-related studies.
EAA Aviation Achievement Scholarships
Awarded to individuals active in sport aviation endeavors to further their education or training. Must major in aviation-related studies.
Herbert L. Cox Memorial Scholarship
One $500 scholarship for a student pursuing a degree leading to an aviation profession who can show unmet financial need for educational expenses.
Richard Lee Vernon Aviation Scholarship
One $500 scholarship awarded to a person in a professional aviation training program in an institute of higher learning or aviation technical school. Recipient must show need for financial support.
APS Upset Prevention & Recovery Training Scholarship
APS, the global leader in Upset Prevention & Recovery Training (UPRT), awards an annual scholarship to a current student or recent graduate of an Aviation College or University Aerospace program. The scholarship is for one 3-day Professional Pilot Upset Training Course, which includes 4 flights covering 5 missions. This course involves intense ground and on-aircraft training focused on mitigating the risk of Loss of Control In-flight (LOC-I), and the skills learned benefit pilots and those who fly with them throughout their careers, helping them bring everyone home safely.
Doris Mullen Scholarship
A $4,500 scholarship is awarded to a Whirly-Girl in good standing toward an advanced helicopter rating.
Whirly-Girls Helicopter Flight Training Schp
A $4,500 scholarship is available to assist a rated woman pilot in earning her helicopter add-on rating. Applications are evaluated for evidence of financial need and intent to work in the helicopter industry.
Boeing Scholarship
This scholarship is given to a Whirly-Girl in good standing to attend factory approved ground and flight training for the MD500 turbine helicopter.
Flight Safety Int'l Instrument Refresher Course
Awarded to a Whirly-Girl in good standing, who possesses a helicopter instrument rating.
ADMA Scholarship Program
The ADMA Scholarship Fund was established to provide assistance to students pursuing
careers in the aviation field.
Eligibility Requirements:
The scholarship program is open to third and fourth year students enrolled in a four year program at an accredited institution in order to be considered for the BS in Aviation Management or Professional Pilot scholarship programs, OR
A second-year student in an A&P Program at a 2-year accredited program.
Applicant must:
possess a minimum of 3.0 GPA
submit two letters of reference
submit an approximately 500-word essay describing their desire to pursue a career in the aviation field.
GIBAA PDP Scholarship
1. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen. 2. At the time of application, applicant must be officially enrolled for the upcoming academic year at an NBAA- and University Aviation Association (UAA)-Member institution in an aviation-related program. Contact the department head or advisor for the institution's NBAA and UAA membership numbers. The application is not complete if these numbers are missing. 3. Applicants will be an undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior in the upcoming academic year enrolled in an aviation-related two-year, four-year, or postgraduate degree program that incorporates the NBAA PDP. Proof of enrollment must be provided prior to distribution of the award. 4. Applicant must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.
