Animal Science Scholarships

Here are some of the Animal Science scholarships on our site for which you may qualify.

Blue Seal Feeds Inc. Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY: Pursuing a four-year degree in animal science or marketing at Cornell University, Penn State University or Virginia Tech. Resident of Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont or Virginia required.AWARD: Two scholarships at $1,000 each, non-renewable.

Church & Dwight Company Inc. Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY: Pursuing a four-year degree in animal nutrition, animal or dairy science, agricultural business management, finance, sales and marketing or agricultural engineering. Preference given to applicants with a demonstrated interest in a dairy-related career. Must exhibit strong leadership skills. Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale U.S. residency required.AWARD: Two scholarships at $1,000 each, non-renewable.

Cooperative Resources International Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY: Pursuing a four-year degree in animal nutrition, animal or dairy science, agricultural communications, journalism, public relations, sales and marketing, international agriculture, animal breeding and genetics or pre-vet/veterinary sciences.AWARD: Two scholarships at $1,000 each, non-renewable.

Harold Davis Memorial Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY: Pursuing a two- or four-year degree in animal science (livestock or dairy), agricultural education or agribusiness. Applicants must have a livestock background in swine, beef, dairy or any combination and complete the financial analysis section of the application.AWARD: Approximately one scholarship at $400. Not guaranteed.

Diamond V Mills Fund of the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY: One scholarship for applicants pursuing a four-year degree in livestock nutrition, animal production or animal science at Iowa State University. Second scholarship for applicants pursuing a two-year degree in livestock nutrition, animal production or animal science at Kirkwood Community College.AWARD: Two scholarships at $1,000 each, non-renewable.

ILC Resources Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY: Pursuing a four-year degree in animal, dairy or poultry science with a preference in poultry. Resident of Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, Kansas, South Dakota, North Dakota, Missouri or Illinois (in that order) planning to attend Iowa State University, University of Nebraska, University of Minnesota, the University of Missouri, Kansas State University, University of Illinois (Urbana) or South Dakota State University. Minimum 2.75 GPA on a 4.0 scale required.AWARD: Two scholarships at $1,500 each, non-renewable

MetLife Foundation Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY: Pursuing a four-year degree in select areas of agriculture, agribusiness management, communications, education, journalism, extension, public relations, finance, economics, sales, marketing, engineering, mechanization, technology, plant pathology, plant/animal breeding and genetics, range/soil science or public service and administration in agriculture. Resident of Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin or Wyoming required. No more than one scholarship per state.AWARD: 10 scholarships at $2,000 each, non-renewable.

National Mastitis Council Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY: Pursuing a two- or four-year degree in animal or dairy science, agricultural communications, education, sales and marketing or pre-vet/vet sciences. Applicant must have a dairy background or plan to pursue a career related to dairy and have participated in community service. Scholarship is available for both FFA and non-FFA members.AWARD: One scholarship at $1,000, non-renewable.

National Wild Turkey Federation Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY: Pursuing a two- or a four-year degree in wildlife management. Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale required. Applicants must support the preservation of the hunting tradition, demonstrate a commitment to conservation, actively participate in hunting sports, have strong leadership skills and have work or volunteer-related experience in the hunting sport. Family must exhibit financial need and the applicant must be involved in the community. Winner shall allow National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) to publicize winner’s name or likeness in a tasteful way for NWTF use.AWARD: One scholarship at $5,000, non-renewable.

Pfizer Animal Health Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY: Pursuing a four-year degree in agribusiness or animal sciences.AWARD: Approximately one scholarship at $1,250. Not guaranteed.

John and Amy Rakestraw Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY: Pursuing a two- or four-year degree in agriculture with a preference in animal nutrition, animal science or farm/livestock or ranch management. Resident of Colorado or Mississippi required. Applicants must exhibit strong leadership skills, have participated in community service and be involved in beef cattle.AWARD: Two scholarships at $1,000 each, non-renewable.

Tyson Foods Inc. Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY: Pursuing a two- or four-year degree in general agriculture; animal nutrition or science; farm and ranch management; poultry science; agricultural communications, journalism or public relations; management and finance; marketing and sales; or select area science and engineering. Must be a resident of a community in which a Tyson Foods processing facility is located. Scholarship recipients will be provided information regarding possible internship/part-time employment opportunities at Tyson Foods Inc.AWARD: 10 scholarships at $1,000 each, non-renewable.
