These scholarships will be based on students? unmet need. Students must continue to meet the eligibility criteria and must re-apply annually for this program to qualify for renewal. Pennsylvania State Employees Scholarship (SECA)

NACA East Coast Region Thomas E. Matthews Scholarship for Student Leaders

For DC, DE, MD, NJ, NY, Eastern PA students.Scholarships are to be used for educational expenses, including tuition, books, fees or other related expenses. Scholarships are announced in February.DEADLINEMaterials must be submitted online between Sept. 15 and Nov. 1. Only the first 75 qualified applications will be considered.CRITERIAApplicants for the Scholarships for Student Leaders Program must: * Be matriculated undergraduate students in good standing at the time of the application and during the semester in which the award is received * Hold significant leadership positions on their campuses * Have made significant contributions to their campus communities * Have demonstrated leadership skills and ability * You must be a U.S. Citizen * High school students are not eligible.

Zagunis Student Leader Scholarship

The Zagunis Student Leader Scholarship was established by the former NACA Great Lakes Region to provide financial assistance to undergraduate or graduate student leaders enrolled in colleges and universities located in the former NACA Great Lakes region. Current undergraduate or graduate students attending a school in the former NACA Great Lakes region are eligible to apply. The scholarship is to be used for educational purposes, such as tuition, fees and books.DEADLINEMaterials must be submitted online by Nov. 1.CRITERIAA committee will select an individual who meets the following criteria: * Is a matriculated undergraduate or graduate student with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better at the time of the application and during the semester in which the award is received * Demonstrates significant leadership skills and abilities * Holds a significant leadership position on campus * Makes significant contributions via volunteer involvement, either on or off campus; and Is enrolled in a college or university within the former NACA Great Lakes region (KY, MI, OH, WV and Western PA). * You must be a U.S. Citizen * High school students are not eligible.

Joseph D. Giampapa Scholarship for Student Leaders

For KY, MI [area codes 231, 248, 269, 313, 517, 586, 616, 810 and 989], OH, WV and Western PA [area codes 412, 724 and 814] students only.Scholarships are to be used for educational expenses, including tuition, books, fees or other related expenses. John B. Lynch Foundation Scholarship

Criteria: 1. General: Given our limited financial resources and the increasing number of students seeking financial aid, our present policy is to provide financial assistance for academic purposes to undergraduate students who are in need of aid and who, by performance, have demonstrated very good academic achievement. 2. Minimum academic requirements: For undergraduate students: GPA of at least 2.75 For graduating high school seniors: GPA of 3.0 or higher or most recent SAT of 1650 or higher. 3. Maximum attained age: 30 4. Time period in which aid will be given: A maximum of 4 years (not necessarily consecutive) of undergraduate assistance, except when the normal undergraduate academic period is 5 years (Pharmacy, e.g.) 5. Maximum amount of financial aid over the time period: $10,000 6. Geographical area served: A grant is made to a qualifying student who: (a) is currently graduating from a high school in Delaware regardless of place of permanent residence; or (b) attends a college in Delaware regardless of place of permanent residence; or (c) lives in the immediate area of adjoining States (PA, NJ, MD) regardless of where the student attends college. “Immediate area” is defined generally as that within 20 miles of the nearest border of Delaware. A student who receives a grant while meeting the geographical requirement is eligible for renewal of the grant even if he/she is not within the geographical area served at the time of renewal.The Trustees reserve the right to make an exception to any policy but that will be done only for cause shown in exceptional circumstances.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 1. Graduate students are not eligible to apply even if they live in the Geographical area served, i.e., within 20 miles of Delaware’s borders, or attend a school in Delaware. 2. Students requesting financial assistance to pursue a second undergraduate degree: (a) If JBL help was received in acquiring a first undergraduate degree, JBL cannot help in acquiring a second undergraduate degree. (b) If no JBL help was received in acquiring a first undergraduate degree, student would be eligible to apply for assistance in acquiring a second undergraduate degree. 3. Graduating high school seniors are eligible to apply only if funds are available.

Green Law Firm Nursing Home & Elderly Care

Attorney Bill Green and his team at Green Law Firm are committed to improving the quality of care in nursing homes. With over 26 years of experience serving the community and many years fighting against low standards of elderly care, Bill is dedicated to promoting passionate students who are focused on making care homes a ‘home’ for our senior population. We are pleased to be offering a $1500 nursing scholarship to high-achieving students who are committed to elderly care and pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing. Our hope is to further their professional development and continued competence, allowing them to improve the quality of life for seniors at nursing homes. Applicants will be judged on the content of their application, the essay they provide and on their academic merits. Donegal Foundation Student Scholarship

The Donegal Foundation has scholarship monies available for students pursuing post-high school educational studies in fields related to Health Care. Students will be judged by a panel of teachers, administrators and local community representatives based upon the completion of the scholarship application.

John G. Williams Scholarship

1. Must be a resident of Pennsylvania. 2. Must be a high school graduate. 3. Must demonstrate financial need. 4. Must demonstrate personal initiative. 5. Must demonstrate civic responsibility. 6. Must have been accepted by an institution of higher learning before making application for assistance. Application may be made at any time during a student's undergraduate or graduate career.

Undergraduate Award II

* Students pursuing an undergraduate degree after an absence of ten years or more from high school or an accredited program may apply at any time immediately prior to, or during, their course of study. * Applicants must be legally blind, registered with their State Commission for the Blind and U.S. citizens. Awards are based on scholastic and other achievements. Candidates are not required to demonstrate financial need. * Applicants must reside and attend school in the Northeast (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and New England states.) * Candidates are judged by a committee, consisting of representatives from the academic and business communities along with members of the Lighthouse Women's Committee. * Winning candidates must show evidence of enrollment ar acceptance in an appropriate degree or certificate program for the following academic year before receiving the award. *Previous winners (in any category) of the Lighthouse Career Incentive Awards are ineligible, as are current Lighthouse employees and members of their immediate families.
