Joseph L. & Vivian E. Steele Music Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria 1. Serious interest in classical music and display exceptional ability and/or creativity 2. Must apply for financial aid from the school you plan to attend 3. Financial need is a determining factor. Please attach the FAFSA Student Aid Report. 4. Must be a citizen of the United States and must maintain a permanent residence in one of the following counties in central Pennsylvania: Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder, or York. 5. Lou Drane Fund Music Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria 1. Serious interest in classical music and display exceptional ability and/or creativity 2. Must apply for financial aid from the school you plan to attend 3. Joseph L. and Vivian E. Steele Music Scholarship Fund

A portion of the income of the Joseph L. and Vivian E. Steele Fund and the Lou Drane Fund, both of The Foundation for Enhancing Communities, is used annually to grant major scholarship assistance to needy students of classical music in the fields of composition, teaching and performance.1. An applicant should have a serious interest in classical music and display unusual ability and/or creativity.2. Financial need is a determining factor. Please attach the FAFSA Student Aid Report. With your FAFSA Student Aid Report, please make sure to include the Cover Letter of the report, which willindicate your EFC, or Estimated Family Contribution. The EFC is not listed on the electronic application that you submit to FAFSA. The EFC is critical in determining financial need. We know that the FAFSAReport may not arrive before the due date. However, please send a copy of the report as soon as you receive it. In addition, please provide us with information you believe will be useful in determining your financial need (e.g., family and student income). Are there extenuating circumstances of which we should be aware? For example, are there siblings in college, illness in the family, loss of employment, or other relevant information?**If additional space is required, continue on reverse side of the application. Scholarship awards may be used only for tuition and fees.3. The applicant must apply for financial aid from the school he/she plans to attend.4. The applicant must be a citizen of the United States and must maintain a permanent residence in one of the following counties in central Pennsylvania: Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder or York.5.
