Jimmy Rane Foundation Scholarships
The eligibility criteria to be considered for a Jimmy Rane Foundation Scholarship are as follows:
Students enrolled full-time as a high school senior, progressing normally toward graduation in the Spring/Summer, with plans to enter college no later than the Fall following graduation OR students enrolled full-time as a college freshman or sophomore, no older than 20 years of age and progressing normally toward a bachelor’s degree;
Scholarships from the Foundation shall be used only at an institution that normally maintains a regular faculty and curriculum, and normally has a regularly organized body of students in attendance at the place where the educational activities are carried on, and that is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as being accredited by recognized accrediting agencies;
Students seeking degrees through online or distance learning programs exclusively shall not be eligible for Jimmy Rane Foundation Scholarships;*
A minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 for graduating high school seniors;
A minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 for college applicants;
U.S. citizenship or permanent resident;
All applicants must reside (permanent home address) in one of the following states and the District of Columbia: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee, Louisiana, Texas, North Carolina, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, Delaware and New Jersey.
Employees of Great Southern Wood Preserving, Incorporated, its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible.
Online/distance learning courses are permitted when a part of the required curriculum taught in the campus environment and when such course is only available online or through distance learning.
Jimmy Rane Foundation scholars are students who exhibit academic excellence, leadership skills and community involvement as well as activities, awards and honors, and who have a demonstrated financial need in order to attend college. They must demonstrate their desire and ability to overcome barriers and to achieve their goals. Your application will be evaluated on your:
Future goals and plans to achieve them;
Successful preparation as a high school student to prepare and pursue a college education;
Self motivation in completing challenging coursework;
Demonstration of financial need.
Empowering Women In Law Scholarship
The Pearce Law Firm in Philadelphia is pleased to offer The Pearce Law Firm – Empowering Women In Law Scholarship. This scholarship opportunity is open to women nationwide who are currently attending a law school in the United States. This scholarship is intended to encourage & support outstanding achievement & leadership by example from women in the field of law.
This award will be presented to a current female law student for the following academic year in the amount of $2,000.00 & will be paid at the beginning of the fall semester (2015).
Requirements:
This scholarship is judged & awarded primarily on academic achievement, school & community activities, demonstrated leadership abilities & financial need.
The scholarship must be submitted, in full, by December 31, 2014. LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
The applicant must be a current female law student.
Applicant will have successfully completed at least one semester of law school but will not yet have graduated by fall semester of 2015.
Must have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0.
A transcript must be attached for application to be considered.
An unopened copy of transcripts, sent from the applicant’s most recent law school will be required from finalists before award is presented.
This scholarship is a one-time award worth $2,000.
Although not required, applicants are encouraged to submit recommendation letters and/or resumes to substantiate their application.
A.J. Grisanti Memorial Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is for any student pursuing an education in a restaurant, foodservice, or hospitality related major. First preference given to students attending a school in Kentucky, followed by any culinary arts students at Johnson & Wales University or the Culinary Institute of America, followed by Hotel and Restaurant Administration majors at Indiana University- Purdue and Bloomington, Indianapolis Vocational Technical College, University of Denver, Wake Technical College, Rochester Institute of Technology, Southeast Community College, Kendall College or College of DuPage.
Award amount: $2,500

NATAS Mid-America College Undergraduate Scholarships
NATAS Mid-America is proud to offer scholarships to college undergraduates in the NATAS Mid-America region who are pursuing a career in the media industry. Scholarships range from $1000 to $3000 each.
These are merit-based scholarships given to students who demonstrate the potential to join the profession and contribute to its future.
Applicants do not need to be members of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences to receive a scholarship.

NATAS Mid-America High School Senior Scholarship
NATAS Mid-America is proud to offer scholarships to high school seniors in the NATAS Mid-America region who are pursuing a career in the media industry. Scholarships range from $1000 to $3000 each. These are merit-based scholarships given to students who demonstrate the potential to join the profession and contribute to its future.
High School seniors who have taken media related course work at their schools and have been accepted at a college as a Media major are eligible to apply.
Applicants do not need to be members of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences to receive a scholarship.

4-H 'Leg Up' Scholarship
The Race for Education in conjunction with Kentucky Equine Education Project (KEEP) has developed the Kentucky 4-H Horse Program ‘Leg Up’ Scholarship. This college scholarship, sponsored by the Race for Education, is awarded to one 4-H horse club student in his/her senior year of high school in EACH 4-H club in Kentucky. Criteria for this scholarship include financial need, communication skills, leadership, and commitment to the agriculture and equine industry.
The $250 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating student of each club annually. Students may also be eligible to participate in the Race for Education’s Assets for Independence Program and receive an additional $4,000 in scholarship funding.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must;
· be a KY 4-H Horse program student member and active within their KY 4-H Horse chapter;
· currently a High School senior;
4-H 'Leg Up' applicants MUST apply with their club/county agent by hard copy application and CANNOT apply online via RFE's website.
