James P. Root Scholarship

*Requires letter of recommendation from applicant’s pastor.Open to residents of Owen, Monroe, Greene or Lawrence County in Indiana who are pursuing a career in full-time Christian service who will be attending a college or seminary affiliated with the Independent Christian Churches/Churches of Christ.

Judy Hamilton Educational Scholarship

Open to Owen County residents who are transitioning from a two-year community college to a four-year state university in Indiana. On-line degree program are not eligible. Applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale while enrolled in a two-year community college.

Margaret Marley Pinkston Scholarship

Open to Owen County residents who are college students continuing in or returning to undergraduate studies in a 4-year degree program.

Roma Wilson Scholarship

Open to Owen County residents who are adults pursuing their undergraduate education. Recipients may use scholarship award for a two or four year degree, technical or vocational school or GED preparation courses.
