Baptist Scholarships

Description: The Alice Haynie Dameron Scholarship Fund was established in 2004 by Ms. Dameron, a long time educator in the Northern Neck. The scholarship supports qualifying high school graduates residing in Northumberland County, Virginia. Scholarship awards are based primarily on financial need and preference will be given to students who are members of First Baptist Church, Heathsville, Macedonia Baptist Church, Heathsville and Shiloh Baptist Church, Burgess. Eligibility: An eligible student must be a graduating high school senior residing in Northumberland County. An eligible applicant must demonstrate financial need, a commitment to academic achievement, and a commitment to serving his or her community. An eligible student must be a candidate for high school graduation at the end of the current academic year, and plan to enroll in an accredited two or four-year community college, college or university, vocational or technical institution the following academic year. Preference will be given to students who are members of First Baptist Church, Heathsville, Macedonia Baptist Church, Heathsville and Shiloh Baptist Church, Burgess.

Scholarship awards paid directly to college or university for individuals who are pursuing a theological education and are members of Baptist religious organizations. Limited to residents of West Virginia.

Available to students who are members or faithful attendees of New Life Baptist Church located within Lake in the Hills. No residency restrictions.

Granted to children of international missionaries to assist with college expenses. Preference is given to missionaries from South Carolina. Awarded to children of international or North American Southern Baptist missionaries entering their junior or senior year of college. To be eligible for an MK scholarship, applicants must show that their parents are affiliated with a Southern Baptist-related entity.

Awarded to children of North American or international missionaries who have distinguished themselves through academic standing, leadership, and character. To be eligible for an MK scholarship, applicants must show that their parents are affiliated with a Southern Baptist-related entity.

Awarded to children of North American or international missionaries. Application Deadline March 1 / Awarded in June Criteria for All Scholarship Applicants: Our primary mission focus is to assist Baptist students and/or entities, with activities that further the cause of Christ around the world. To be eligible for an MK scholarship, applicants must show that their parents are affiliated with a Southern Baptist-related entity.

Awarded to children of international missionaries who are medical students and plan to go into international missions. Those majoring in nursing, dentistry, or pharmacy will also be considered. Awarded to anyone pursuing a career in Baptist missions with an emphasis on, but not limited to, the chaplaincy or U.S. based missions. Awarded to female college students preparing for Christian ministry. Awarded to women pursuing a career on the international mission field. Typically reserved for post-graduate work.
