Nutrition Scholarships

Here are some of the Nutrition scholarships on our site for which you may qualify.

GOYA Foods Culinary Arts & Food Sciences Scholarship Program

Eligibility Requirements: Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired) Plan to enroll full-time in a degree seeking program with the U.S. as a Freshman at a four-year U.S. accredited institution and obtaining their 1st undergraduate degree Must have completed 10 hours per month of community service. This activity will be tracked by GOYA. Must be majoring in Culinary Arts or Food Sciences (select Culinary Arts as major) Must have a permanent address in one of the following areas: California (counties of Merced, Madera, Kings, Tulare, Kern, Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, Riverside, San Diego, Imperial) Connecticut Delaware Florida Georgia Illinois Indiana Kentucky Louisiana Maine Maryland Massachusetts Michigan Nevada New Hampshire New Jersey New Mexico New York North Carolina Ohio Oklahoma Pennsylvania Rhode Island South Carolina Texas Vermont Virginia Wisconsin Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Applicants are required to submit an essay response to the following prompt: "Please explain how GOYA has enriched your family traditions."

Robert E. Rich Aspiring Entrepreneurs Scholarship

This scholarship rewards students interested in business and entrepreneurship. Four scholarships will be awarded in total. One recipient will be selected from each of the following schools: Culinary Institute of America, Johnson & Wales, Cornell School of Hotel Administration; Cornell University- Food Industry Management. Award amount: $2500 Who Can Apply: Culinary Institute of America, Johnson & Wales, Cornell School of Hotel Administration and Cornell University - Food Industry Management students.

Sammy's Scholarship

This scholarship is for anyone attending Cuyahoga Community College or Working at Sammy’s.

A.J. Grisanti Memorial Scholarship Fund

This scholarship is for any student pursuing an education in a restaurant, foodservice, or hospitality related major. First preference given to students attending a school in Kentucky, followed by any culinary arts students at Johnson & Wales University or the Culinary Institute of America, followed by Hotel and Restaurant Administration majors at Indiana University- Purdue and Bloomington, Indianapolis Vocational Technical College, University of Denver, Wake Technical College, Rochester Institute of Technology, Southeast Community College, Kendall College or College of DuPage. Award amount: $2,500 Who Can Apply: First preference given to students attending a school in Kentucky, followed by any culinary arts students at Johnson & Wales University or the Culinary Institute of America, followed by Hotel and Restaurant Administration majors at Indiana University- Purdue and Bloomington, Indianapolis Vocational Technical College, University of Denver, Wake Technical College, Rochester Institute of Technology, Southeast Community College, Kendall College or College of DuPage.

North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM) Scholarship

NAFEM is pleased to support the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) with an endowed scholarship. The scholarship is awarded annually to a current student(s) in an established culinary program who show an interest in the equipment & supplies side of the foodservice industry while pursuing an education in a restaurant, foodservice, or hospitality related major. Award amount: $3,000 annually and (2) $10,000 in even years Who Can Apply: Student(s) in an established culinary program who show an interest in the equipment & supplies side of the foodservice industry while pursuing an education in a restaurant, foodservice, or hospitality related major.

Chicago Foodservice Marketing Club Educational Scholarship Fund

This scholarship is for any student pursuing an education in a restaurant, foodservice, or hospitality related major. Eligible recipients must be Illinois residents and be attending a school in Illinois. The Chicago Foodservice marketing Club is an organization composed of manufacturers, packers, processors, distributors, brokers, advertising agencies, consultants, and the trade press; all of whom are engaged in servicing the foodservice market. CFMC is a vital and very important part of the industry in the Chicago area, dedicated to education, excellence, and comradeship. The club supports the industry by funding student scholarships through the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation. Award amount: $2,500 Who Can Apply: Students who are IL residents attending an IL school.

Stratas Foods Scholarship

This scholarship is for any student pursuing an education in a restaurant, foodservice, or hospitality related major. Preference will be given to ProStart Certificate of Achievement holders that are attending Johnson & Wales University. Award amount: $2,500 Who Can Apply: Johnson & Wales students who have earned the ProStart Certificate of Achievement.

Council of Hotel and Restaurant Trainers (CHART) Scholarship

This scholarship is for any student pursuing an education in a restaurant, foodservice or hospitality related major. ManageFirst students preferred. Award amount: (2) $5,000 Who Can Apply: Undergraduates/ManageFirst Students

Kenny Dennis Memorial Scholarship/MEG Group

Preferred candidates will have an interest in marketing and foodservice. Recipients are invited to attend a sponsor-related event. Scholarship is presented at the MEG conference during the NRA show each May. Who Can Apply: This scholarship is for any student pursuing an education in a restaurant, foodservice, or hospitality related major.

Ted J. Balestreri & Bert P. Cutino Scholarship

This scholarship is for any student pursuing an education in a restaurant, foodservice, or hospitality related major with preference to individuals from the Monterey county area will be considered first and those from the State of California will be considered second. After candidates meeting that criteria have been considered, applicants from other areas of the United States will be considered. Additionally, employees of the Monterey Peninsula Country Club are eligible for this scholarship. Recipients must be pursuing an education and career in hospitality field. Who Can Apply: Preference given to Monterey county-area residents, state of California residents and Monterey Peninsula County Club employees.

Carol Chorbajian Scholarship Fund

This scholarship is for any student pursuing an education in a restaurant, foodservice, or hospitality related major. With first preference be given to students from Monterey County followed by students who are from California or attending college in California. If there are not enough eligible students meeting these requirements, the NRAEF may select recipients from the general pool of eligible candidates. Award amount: $2,500 Who Can Apply: Preference is given to students from Monterey County, California residents and students attending a school in California.

David Armanasco Scholarship

This scholarship is for any student pursuing an education in a restaurant, foodservice, or hospitality related major. Individuals from Monterey County area will be considered first, those from the State of California second, and finally from other areas of the United States. Recipients must be pursuing an education and career in hospitality field. Award amount: $2,500 Who Can Apply: Preference given to students from Monterey County and residents of California.
