Information Technology Scholarships

For students who exhibit extraordinary potential leadership in Health Information Management. Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) 2. Actively enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours towards pursuing a degree 3. Completed 24 credit hours towards a degree (for graduate degree applicants, this can include undergraduate credit hours) 4. Have at least six (6) credit hours remaining after the award date (after December 30) 5. Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) or 4.5 (out of 5.0) based on the most recently completed 24 credit hours 6. Have not been awarded any AHIMA Foundation scholarship for the academic degree being sought through this application 7. For students who are residents of Colorado Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) 2. Actively enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours towards pursuing a degree 3. Available for an associate level applicant who demonstrates scholastic aptitude, desire to learn and grown and HIM Leadership Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. For a student who is enrolled in the Florida A&M HIA program Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Awarded to applicants who have had to overcome challenges toward achieving their educational goals. Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. For graduate students with a JD degree or working toward a JD degree Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Full-time undergraduate or graduate students attending four-year HACU-member institutions with a declared major in Engineering, Business, Public Relations, Mass Media, Sports Marketing, Marketing, Management, or Technology. Students must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0., and attend school in Florida, Georgia, or North Carolina. Upon notification of selection, scholarship recipients are required to submit a headshot electronically to HACU for NASCAR press purposes, and encouraged to apply to the NASCAR Diversity Internship Program (www.nascardiversity.com).
