Here are some of the Information Technology scholarships on our site for which you may qualify.

The Rita Finnegan Memorial Scholarships

For students who exhibit extraordinary potential leadership in Health Information Management. Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) 2. Actively enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours towards pursuing a degree 3. Completed 24 credit hours towards a degree (for graduate degree applicants, this can include undergraduate credit hours) 4. Have at least six (6) credit hours remaining after the award date (after December 30) 5. Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) or 4.5 (out of 5.0) based on the most recently completed 24 credit hours 6. Have not been awarded any AHIMA Foundation scholarship for the academic degree being sought through this application 7. Submit a completed online application and all of its components Additional requirements are listed on the online scholarship application

The Viola Griffin Memorial Scholarship

For students who are residents of Colorado Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) 2. Actively enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours towards pursuing a degree 3. Completed 24 credit hours towards a degree (for graduate degree applicants, this can include undergraduate credit hours) 4. Have at least six (6) credit hours remaining after the award date (after December 30) 5. Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) or 4.5 (out of 5.0) based on the most recently completed 24 credit hours 6. Have not been awarded any AHIMA Foundation scholarship for the academic degree being sought through this application 7. Danica and Pierson Kirk Memorial Scholarship

Available for an associate level applicant who demonstrates scholastic aptitude, desire to learn and grown and HIM Leadership Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) 2. Actively enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours towards pursuing a degree 3. Completed 24 credit hours towards a degree (for graduate degree applicants, this can include undergraduate credit hours) 4. Have at least six (6) credit hours remaining after the award date (after December 30) 5. Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) or 4.5 (out of 5.0) based on the most recently completed 24 credit hours 6. Have not been awarded any AHIMA Foundation scholarship for the academic degree being sought through this application 7. The Linda Kloss Honorary Endowed Scholarship

For applicants whose careers illustrate leadership and vision, and who possess a dedication to lifelong learning Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) 2. Actively enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours towards pursuing a degree 3. Completed 24 credit hours towards a degree (for graduate degree applicants, this can include undergraduate credit hours) 4. Have at least six (6) credit hours remaining after the award date (after December 30) 5. Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) or 4.5 (out of 5.0) based on the most recently completed 24 credit hours 6. Have not been awarded any AHIMA Foundation scholarship for the academic degree being sought through this application 7. Margaret Lloyd Endowed Memorial Scholarship

Available for applicants at the associate level Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) 2. Actively enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours towards pursuing a degree 3. Have at least six (6) credit hours remaining after the award date (after December 30) 4. Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) or 4.5 (out of 5.0) based on the most recently completed 24 credit hours 5. Have not been awarded any AHIMA Foundation scholarship for the academic degree being sought through this application 6. Kathy McCaffrey Memorial Scholarship

Available for graduate level scholarship Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) 2. Actively enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours towards pursuing a degree 3. Completed 24 credit hours towards a degree (for graduate degree applicants, this can include undergraduate credit hours) 4. Have at least six (6) credit hours remaining after the award date (after December 30) 5. Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) or 4.5 (out of 5.0) based on the most recently completed 24 credit hours 6. The Walter Murray Scholarship

For students who are residents of New Jersey Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) 2. Actively enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours towards pursuing a degree 3. Completed 24 credit hours towards a degree (for graduate degree applicants, this can include undergraduate credit hours) 4. Have at least six (6) credit hours remaining after the award date (after December 30) 5. Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) or 4.5 (out of 5.0) based on the most recently completed 24 credit hours 6. The Texas CSA Scholarship

For residents of Texas Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) 2. Actively enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours towards pursuing a degree 3. Completed 24 credit hours towards a degree (for graduate degree applicants, this can include undergraduate credit hours) 4. Have at least six (6) credit hours remaining after the award date (after December 30) 5. Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) or 4.5 (out of 5.0) based on the most recently completed 24 credit hours 6. The Precise Coding Services, Inc. Merit Scholarship

For a student who is enrolled in the Florida A&M HIA program Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) 2. Actively enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours towards pursuing a degree 3. Completed 24 credit hours towards a degree (for graduate degree applicants, this can include undergraduate credit hours) 4. Have at least six (6) credit hours remaining after the award date (after December 30) 5. Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) or 4.5 (out of 5.0) based on the most recently completed 24 credit hours 6. Geraldine Smother Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to applicants who have had to overcome challenges toward achieving their educational goals. Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) 2. Actively enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours towards pursuing a degree 3. Completed 24 credit hours towards a degree (for graduate degree applicants, this can include undergraduate credit hours) 4. Have at least six (6) credit hours remaining after the award date (after December 30) 5. Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) or 4.5 (out of 5.0) based on the most recently completed 24 credit hours 6. Have not been awarded any AHIMA Foundation scholarship for the academic degree being sought through this application 7. The Dot Wagg Memorial Scholarship

For graduate students with a JD degree or working toward a JD degree Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) 2. Actively enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours towards pursuing a degree 3. Completed 24 credit hours towards a degree (for graduate degree applicants, this can include undergraduate credit hours) 4. Have at least six (6) credit hours remaining after the award date (after December 30) 5. Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) or 4.5 (out of 5.0) based on the most recently completed 24 credit hours 6. NASCAR/Wendell Scott Sr. Award

Full-time undergraduate or graduate students attending four-year HACU-member institutions with a declared major in Engineering, Business, Public Relations, Mass Media, Sports Marketing, Marketing, Management, or Technology. Students must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0., and attend school in Florida, Georgia, or North Carolina. Upon notification of selection, scholarship recipients are required to submit a headshot electronically to HACU for NASCAR press purposes, and encouraged to apply to the NASCAR Diversity Internship Program (www.nascardiversity.com). NASCAR and its partners help nurture new talent and raise awareness of the industry's efforts to increase diversity and attract the best minds in America.
