Here are some of the Engineering Technologies scholarships on our site for which you may qualify.

William H. Becker Memorial Scholarship

An enrolled student pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or Construction Management at an accredited institution, who has demonstrated an interest in a railroad industry career through participation in an AREMA student chapter, or through co-op, internship, or summer employment experience. General criteria for all scholarship applicants include having an interest in railway engineering, maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0, and being available for interview by the AREMA Scholarship Committee.

Structures Functional Group Member Emeritus Scholarship - In memory of Bill Byers

General criteria applies for an engineering student in the field of structural engineering pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree. General criteria for all scholarship applicants include having an interest in railway engineering, maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0, and being available for interview by the AREMA Scholarship Committee.

New York Central Railroad Memorial Scholarship

General criteria for all scholarship applicants include having an interest in railway engineering, maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0, and being available for interview by the AREMA Scholarship Committee. General criteria applies. Priority given to a student at Clarkson University.

Michigan Tech Alumni Scholarship

Undergraduate or graduate engineering student in good standing at Michigan Tech University. This scholarship is available to all Railroad Engineering and Activities Club (REAC) Members and Club Officers. Please specify on the application if you are a member or officer of REAC. General criteria for all scholarship applicants include having an interest in railway engineering, maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0, and being available for interview by the AREMA Scholarship Committee.

Michael W. & Jean D. Franke Family Foundation Scholarship

Engineering student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. General criteria for all scholarship applicants include having an interest in railway engineering, maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0, and being available for interview by the AREMA Scholarship Committee.

Larry L. Etherton Scholarship

Engineering student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. General criteria for all scholarship applicants include having an interest in railway engineering, maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0, and being available for interview by the AREMA Scholarship Committee.

Michael and Gina Garcia Rail Engineering Scholarship

General criteria for all scholarship applicants include having an interest in railway engineering, maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0, and being available for interview by the AREMA Scholarship Committee. Priority given to student who is married and/or supporting a family while enrolled as a student.

John J. Cunningham Memorial Scholarship

Junior or Senior college student pursuing an undergraduate degree in a professional field that has direct applications in the passenger rail sector. General criteria for all scholarship applicants include having an interest in railway engineering, maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0, and being available for interview by the AREMA Scholarship Committee.

Communications & Signals Functional Group Scholarship

Student pursuing a four or five year Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science or Information Technology undergraduate degree program at an accredited institution who has demonstrated an interest in railroad Signaling and Communications. Priority is given to AREMA C&S Functional Group family members, including grandchildren. General criteria for all scholarship applicants include having an interest in railway engineering, maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0, and being available for interview by the AREMA Scholarship Committee.

Committee 33 - Electric Energy Utilization Scholarship

General criteria applies. Preference will be given to those applicants demonstrating an interest in the field of rail traction electrification systems engineering. General criteria for all scholarship applicants include having an interest in railway engineering, maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0, and being available for interview by the AREMA Scholarship Committee.

Women in Technology Scholarship (WITS)

Attention all college-bound women! If you’re pursuing a career in computer science, information technology, management information systems, computer engineering, or another related field, Visionary Integration Professionals (VIP) would like to invite you to apply for our annual Women in Technology Scholarship (WITS) program. Please download the application for specific requirements. Now in its eighth year, the program has awarded nearly $100,000 in aid to more than 60 women across the country. WITS offers support for women who are attending or planning to attend a two- or four-year college within the United States for the upcoming school year. VIP awards multiple scholarships of up to $2,500 per recipient. Candidates are evaluated based on the following criteria: Academic performance Community involvement Extracurricular activities Leadership qualities Career path Essay response

The U. K. Gupta Family Scholarship Endowment:

Primary preference will be given to students attending universities in North Texas and in the State of Texas only. Students must have a 3.0 GPA at the time of application. Applications accepted for fall semester only. Eligibility: To apply for an NBT scholarship or endowed university scholarship, you must: Have a 3.0 GPA (or an 85% competency score) and be currently enrolled in or entering a university engineering program, or related field, to apply for an endowed scholarship Submit an official high school or college transcript Submit an on-line application
