Intel Scholars Program

The program is designed to assist sophomores and juniors majoring in various engineering programs attending UNCF institutions and selected universities. JPMorgan Chase/UNCF Corporate Scholars Program

Eligible Majors: Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Marketing, Computer Science/MIS, Computer Science, Operations Management Scholarship Detail: The United Negro College Fund (UNCF) and JPMorgan Chase have partnered to provide rising juniors enrolled in baccalaureate degree programs valuable work experiences with JPMorgan Chase as well as financial support during the following academic year. Successful completion of the internship makes one eligible to receive a need-based scholarship up to $10,000. Internship sites may be in JPMorgan Chase locations in New York and Chicago. NASCAR/Wendell Scott Award

Full-time undergraduate or graduate students attending 4-year HACU-member institutions with a declared major in Engineering, Business, Public Relations, Mass Media, Sports Marketing, Marketing, Marketing Management and Technology. HSF/ Procter & Gamble Company Scholarship

The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) and Procter & Gamble Company have partnered to provide financial resources to assist outstanding Latino undergraduates pursuing degrees in the STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). The award amount is $2,500. Eligibility Requirements: * Be of Hispanic heritage * Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired) * Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale * Must major in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) field * Must currently reside in one of the following locations: o Chicago, IL o Dallas, TX o Georgia o Houston, TX o Indiana o Kentucky o McAllen, TX o Miami, FL o New York o North Carolina o Ohio o San Antonio, TX o Los Angeles metropolitan area * Have plans to enroll FULL-TIME in a degree seeking program at a U.S. accredited institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands or Guam * Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Airgas - Terry Jarvis Memorial Scholarship

The purpose for this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to those individuals interested in pursuing a career in welding engineering. Eligibility The Airgas - Terry Jarvis Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate student pursuing a minimum four-year bachelors degree in welding engineering (WE) or welding engineering technology (WET); however, priority will be given to welding engineering (WE) students interested in pursuing a career with an industrial gas or welding equipment distributor. All applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements. Applicant must be a minimum of eighteen years of age. Applicant must have a minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Applicant must be a full-time student as defined by the academic institution. Applicant must have at least a 2.8 overall grade point average with a 3.0 grade point average in engineering courses. Financial need is not required; however, priority will be given to those individuals demonstrating a financial need. Priority will be given to those individuals who demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career with an industrial gas or welding equipment distributor by prior work experience, clubs, organizations or extra-curricular activities. Applicant must be a citizen of the United States or Canada and plan to attend an academic institution located within the United States or Canada. Applicant must submit all required application information. Priority will be given to those individuals residing or attending school in the states of Alabama, Georgia or Florida. (A resident is defined as having lived in the specified area for a minimum of one year.) Applicants may reapply; however, persons who have received this award may reapply and may be granted the award for a maximum of four years. The award will be presented to individuals nationwide. Applicant does not have to be a member of the American Welding Society. The AWS Foundation does not discriminate by age, race, color, national origin, disability, creed, or gender. Selection Applicant will be chosen by the Named Scholarship Selection Committee comprised of five (5) members, which have been selected by the National Educational Scholarship Committee. Selection committee will determine award recipient in February of each year. Recipient will be announced at the National Awards Luncheon. Awards One $2,500 award will be given annually. No awards will be paid to the recipient. All awards are for tuition and books only, and will be paid directly to the academic institution by the AWS Foundation.
