Education Scholarships

Here are some of the Education scholarships on our site for which you may qualify.

National Mastitis Council Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY: Pursuing a two- or four-year degree in animal or dairy science, agricultural communications, education, sales and marketing or pre-vet/vet sciences. Applicant must have a dairy background or plan to pursue a career related to dairy and have participated in community service. Scholarship is available for both FFA and non-FFA members.AWARD: One scholarship at $1,000, non-renewable.

CNH Capital Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY: Pursuing a four-year degree in agricultural communications, education, public relations, business management, economics, finance, international agriculture, sales or marketing. Applicants must exhibit strong leadership skills and have participated in community service. Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale required. Attendance at Iowa State University, Penn State University, Purdue University, University of Illinois-Champaign, University of Wisconsin-Madison or University of Wisconsin-Platteville required. Scholarship recipients will be provided information regarding opportunities for possible summer internships/employment at CNH Capital.AWARD: 14 scholarships at $2,250 each, non-renewable.

Asia-Pacific Distance Education Award

Description: $1000 (AUD) awarded to one Golden Key member at an Australian, New Zealand or Malaysian chapter currently studying distance education/correspondence.Eligibility: Undergraduate and postgraduate members who are enrolled in a degree-granting program or postgraduate qualification (Grad. Cert, Grad Dip. Masters) completely studying correspondence. (Students studying a mix of distance and on-campus classes are not eligible).Criteria: Academic achievement, application form, essay.Application requirements:1. Application Form2. Attach the following required documentation:An essay of no more than two pages describing the factors influencing your choice to study distance education, any challenges that you have encountered by studying distance education and how you overcame these challenges. Describe how this qualification will allow you to contribute to your industry or society when you have completed your study or entered the workforce.A university document that confirms your enrollment as a distance education or correspondence student.An official academic transcript.

Education Achievement Awards

Description: This award recognizes members who excel in the study of education.Scholarships Available: One winner will receive $2,000(USD), a second place winner will receive $1,500(USD), and a third place winner will receive $1,000(USD).Eligibility: Those eligible are undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate members who are currently enrolled in classes at a degree-granting program.Criteria: Academic achievement, quality of paper submitted, as determined by the selection committee. Check the website for application requirements.

Menzel Memorial Scholarship

Thomas Menzel, in memory of his parents Irving and Emmaleen Menzel, who were both teachers in the Traverse City Public Schools District, established the scholarship in 1988. A 3.0 or better grade point average is required and the recipient must be pursuing a career in education and also demonstrate financial need. One $400 scholarship is awarded annually.

Brian Cummins Memorial Scholarship

Selection Criteria * College junior or senior or graduate student enrolled in a full-time program to teach blind and visually impaired students in Connecticut * Academic excellence * Community service * Financial need

Connecticut Minority Teacher Incentive Program

Selection Criteria: * Amount awarded: up to $5,000/year for two years in school and up to $2,500 for four years while teaching * Full-time college junior or senior * African American, Hispanic/Latino, Asian American or Native American heritage * Weisman applicants also must intend to teach math or science * Nomination by Educational Dean at college student is attending

Other Majors Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria:•Must be of Hispanic background•Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in the United States or Puerto Rico•Must be studying at an accredited university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico for the upcoming academic year•Must be (or plan to be) enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student for the upcoming academic year•Must have earned and maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average of no less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale•Must demonstrate financial need•Must be studying a major that falls under the Other Majors Application

The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, Epsilon Pi Chapter Scholarship

This Epsilon Pi Chapter of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International has established a scholarship fund to recruit future teachers, which will be administered by the Humboldt Area Foundation. Recipients will receive $500 and be honored at the Epsilon Pi Chapter’s annual initiation event.These scholarships will be awarded to people with plans to become teachers who have been accepted at Humboldt State University for their fifth or final year of a credential program, or into the Liberal Studies Elementary Education (LSEE) integrated program, and who have a record of school and/or community service.Eligibility based on: 1. Plans to enter the teaching profession2. Acceptance into the fifth or final year of a credential program or the Liberal Studies Elementary Education (LSEE) integrated program at H.S.U.3. School and/or community service

Bruce A. Sering Scholarship

Eligibility: * Awarded to members of the IU Student Foundation. * Preference will be given to students majoring in education and planning to be teachers.

The Jarvis Moss Shepherd Educational Scholarship

Is awarded to a student with plans to major in business or education and enrolled in a four-year accredited college program.The recipient will be selected based on the following criteria:? Graduating Senior? Demonstrated leadership ability? GPA 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale? Extra-curricular school activities? Enrolled in a four year accredited college? Community service? Successful Interview

Anne Ehrenhardt Nolting Scholarship

Eligibility: * Description: Established by Leon Nolting in loving memory of his wife, Anne * Open to: Undergraduate members of the Alpha/DePauw chapter * Additional Criteria: Preference given to education majors. Recipients must have a B+ average
