Anthropology Scholarships

Here are some of the Anthropology scholarships on our site for which you may qualify.

Collection Study Grants

Criteria: 1. Must be interested in Anthropology, Astrophysics, Earth and Planetary Sciences, Entomology, Herpetology and Ichthyology, Invertebrates, Mammalogy, Ornithology, or Vertebrate Paleontology. Morris K. Udall Scholarship Program

Criteria: 1. Must be pursuing a degree related to the environment, Native American health care, or tribal public policy, such as environmental science/studies/engineering, agriculture, biology & other natural sciences, natural resource management, political science, sociology, anthropology, geography, cultural studies, American Indian Studies, philosophy, tribal policy, economic development, history, English, theater, ecology, landscape architecture, public health and/or be a Native American or Alaskan Native. 2. Must be an undergraduate student. 3. Must be a sophomore or junior student. 4. Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Dora J. Prieto Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to a student with a minimum 2.5 GPA and has financial need. Preference will be given to students enrolled in Anthropology as a major, or to a student interested in activities affiliated with a museum.

Friends of the Edward Dean Museum & Gardens Scholarship

This scholarship provides an award for students enrolled in the College of Arts & Letters majoring within the Department of Art with an emphasis on Art History, Art Education, or Studio Art, must be at least a junior to qualify, must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or better, and demonstrate an interest in developing a career in Art History, Museum Studies, or Art Education. Financial need considered but not essential. Student will complete a CSUSB and Edward Dean Museum supervised project-oriented internship at the Edward Dean Museum working within the Permanent Collection. Project time and student scheduling to be arranged and developed between CSUSB, Edward Dean Museum and the scholarship recipient. Project will be a year long project.

Mellon Undergraduate Fellowship Program

Eligible Majors: Mathematics, Computer Science, Humanities, Sociology, Physics, Demography, Ecology, Anthropology Eligible Schools: UNCF Member Colleges and Universities, Hampton University (please check the website for the complete list) Eligible Locations: Open Scholarship Detail: This program provides a $750 stipend per academic semester and a $3,000 stipend/summer institute for selected students who are interested in enrolling in Ph.D. programs and pursuing college-teaching careers. Its administered through the Mellon programs at Spelman College Donor/Sponsor Name: Andrew Mellon Foundation

Other Majors Scholarships

Eligibility Criteria:•Must be of Hispanic background•Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in the United States or Puerto Rico•Must be studying at an accredited university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico for the upcoming academic year•Must be (or plan to be) enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student for the upcoming academic year•Must have earned and maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average of no less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale•Must demonstrate financial need•Must be studying a major that falls under the Other Majors Application

ISF-Dollar-a-Day Scholarship

ISF offers many joint scholarship programs with partner organization that share its common mission and vision. ISF is honored to host a joint scholarship with Dollar-A-Day Scholarship Fund. The ISF National Scholarships are open to all ISF supported majors. Description and Eligibility: ISF accepts online applications once a year starting in December for a period of three months. Each Eligible Applicant Must Be: Muslim and active member of the Muslim Community; Attending an accredited university in the U.S.; Majoring in an ISF supported field of study; Maintaining a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average; A Citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S.; An undergraduate (junior/senior) or of graduate standing.

ISF-ICCNC Scholarship

ISF supports Islamic organizations and mosques by planning and managing scholarship programs to students of their community. ISF is honored to host the scholarship program of the Islamic Cultural Center of Northern California, ICCNC. The ISF-ICCNC Scholarship program is only open to members and individuals affiliated with ICCNC. Description and Eligibility: ISF accepts online applications once a year starting in December for a period of three months. Each Eligible Applicant Must Be: Muslim and active member of the Muslim Community; Attending an accredited university in the U.S.; Majoring in an ISF supported field of study; Maintaining a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average; A Citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S.; An undergraduate (junior/senior) or of graduate standing.

ISF-MCA Scholarship

ISF supports Islamic organizations and mosques by planning and managing joint scholarships. ISF is honored to host the ISF-MCA Scholarship of the Muslim Community Association of the Bay Area, MCA. The ISF-MCA Scholarship program is only open to members and individuals affiliated with the MCA. Description and Eligibility: ISF accepts online applications once a year starting in December for a period of three months. Each Eligible Applicant Must Be: Muslim and active member of the Muslim Community; Attending an accredited university in the U.S.; Majoring in an ISF supported field of study; Maintaining a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average; A Citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S.; An undergraduate (junior/senior) or of graduate standing.

The ISF-Yaseen Foundation Scholarship program is only open to members and individuals affiliated with the this center.
