Program Description:The HSF/Hormel Scholarship Program is a scholarship of $2,500 awarded for applicants interested in a career in the food industry.In addition, interested students can apply to be considered for a paid internship. Eligibility Requirements: * Be of Hispanic heritage * Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States with a valid Social Security Number at the time of application. All legal permanent residents must submit a copy of their valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired) * Have a permanent address in one of the following Midwest states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin * Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale * Be a Junior with an intended graduation date between December and August * Be majoring in Accounting, Mechanical Engineering (includes Mechanical Technology), Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering/Technology (includes Industrial Management) Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration (includes Operations), Management, Agriculture Science/Agronomy (includes Agriculture Engineering, Agribusiness, Ag Economics, Food Service), Computer Science, Information Technology (IT/MIS) (includes Computer Information Systems), Zoology (includes Animal Science), Marketing (includes Professional Selling), Hospitality Administration (includes Hotel/Restaurant Management) or related majors * Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Recipients must be a member of Alpha Iota/Washington University in St. Louis (D) or a member of Theta who is majoring in elementary or secondary education in the Midwest. (Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Missouri.)

Sponsored by the South Dakota CPA Society, this scholarship is targeted at students who are nearing completion of the 150 hours required to be a qualified CPA exam candidate and pursuing a major in accountancy. Maximum value of scholarship is lesser of tuition of a full time student based on the current Board of Regent set tuition for a state school at the base resident rate or $7,500. This scholarship is awarded annually to South Dakota residents attending accredited 4-year nursing programs in South Dakota. Applicants must have at least 24 credits before applying to the scholarship. The amount of the award varies from year to year.

The American Galvanizers Association’s (AGA) Galvanize the Future: An Edgar K Schutz Memorial Scholarship essay contest was developed to assist future specifiers with the rising cost of a college education. The scholarship is available to full- or part-time undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in an accredited college or university in North America studying architecture, civil engineering, structural engineering, construction management, material science, or a related field. Three scholarships are awarded annually ($2,500; $1,500; and $1,000) for the top essays submitted. Any full- or part-time, undergraduate or graduate student of any age enrolled at an accredited college or university only in North America. High school students are not eligible to enter this contest. Qualifying majors include architecture, civil engineering, structural engineering, construction management, material science, or other related field.

Provides four AFA Leader and Academic Scholarships to female, Midwest agriculture students with a special interest in agriculture education . This scholarship provides a $3,200 academic tuition/fees scholarship, $1,000 registration fee for AFA Leaders Conference and the opportunity for the student to attend the BOTAR General Membership Meeting in January of her initial scholarship selection year. This scholarship is renewable up to three times if all scholarship requirements are fulfilled and at the discretion of the BOTAR committee. If a student receives this scholarship an additional three times, she will be asked to attend the BOTAR General Membership Meeting in her senior year as well, to share about her experiences. Students eligible to receive the AFA Leader and Academic Scholarship provided by BOTAR must: Be a female student pursuing a four-year degree in Agriculture Education or related field in the Midwest. Attend the BOTAR General Membership Meeting in January of her initial scholarship selection year. Meet all the AFA scholarship criteria and requirements listed above.

Selectspace scholarship At SelectSpace Partitions, we are proud to offer a scholarship program for students in the process of pursuing a college degree. The awarded student will receive $500 to be used towards expenses for his or her degree. Who may apply? U.S. citizens accepted to or currently attending a college or university within the United States. The winner will be required to provide proof of acceptance to your college or university, or a college transcript. Deadline: Applications must be submitted via the web form by November 30. Next Steps: The award recipient will be notified of the selection on or around December 31. The scholarship award is to be used exclusively for school tuition or related expenses. A check for $500 will be made payable to the award recipient’s college or university. The recipient is expected to submit receipts in accordance with IRS regulations.

We are pleased to be offering a $1500 nursing scholarship to high-achieving students who are committed to elderly care and pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing. In the past, the Nishnabotna Valley Foundation has given four $500 college scholarships to students of Nishnabotna Valley REC members. In addition, Basin Electric Power Cooperative has awarded a $1,000 scholarship to a student of a member of Nishnabotna Valley REC, making a total of $3,000 available for college students. Applicants must have the following qualifications: * Must be U.S. citizens * Must be dependents of Nishnabotna Valley REC members * Enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time undergraduate or graduate course of study at an accredited, two-year or four-year college, university or vocational/technical school.Scholarships are awarded without regard to other awards, loans or financial assistance the applicant may have obtained. College freshmen through graduate students may apply. The five scholarships are not limited to first year college students. The recipients of the scholarships are chosen by a selection committee appointment by the REC, whose decisions are final. Their selection is based on the following: * SAT/ACT scores and overall grade point average * Participation in school and community activities * A personal statement of career goals * A written recommendation by a third party

Trade School Future is an organization dedicated to helping future mechanics reach their full potential. Our country needs skilled automotive workers and we want to help. Each semester, we’ll be awarding grants of various amounts to students who plan on attending a trade or vocational school with the aim of becoming a mechanic. This scholarship is open to any prospective student in the United States who plans to enroll in a trade or vocational school, 2 or 4 year university, accredited community college or other automotive higher education institution within the next 12 months. The applicant must complete a short essay (500 words or less) detailing why they are pursuing an automotive degree. The applicant must provide a phone number and email address for correspondence about the grant award selection process. The Future Mechanic Grant for the Fall/Winter Semester is a one-time financial gift of $1,000. The grant will be awarded to the applicant who best answers the application criteria, including the short essay. The award funds may be applied to any expenses associated with pursuing an automotive degree or certification. This is a one-time financial gift and does not need to be paid back to Trade School Future.
